You have to watch Hard Knocks from a few years ago with the Lions. Dan Skipper; they loved him but had to cut him. They found a way to bring him back and he's still on the field. If Betts is a football player, if he loves the game - they will find a way to keep him and use him. No one gave Skipper a chance but Holmes and Campbell know what they are doing. They got rid of a lot guys that didn't fit and found places for guys that do.

your thinking of all the NFL gm's... Brad Holmes is not like all the others... if Betts is willing to out work and give'r,,, he'll be there,

Yes sir! From what I’ve seen of Betts he’s not going to squander this opportunity.

They obviously see some potential in him or they wouldn’t have bothered bringing him in. But I’m not expecting him to be Will Anderson.

Exactly, I get it was CFL, but he was told practicing with our team, what to change and do, and he did it! If he can bring HALF what he did down there, its 9 sacks 20 sone tackles 15 pressures and 2 FF and thats still better than our #2 last year!!!

I'm thinking they will use him as Houstons back up. A 3rd down specialty.

Considering how weak we currently are at the position, i give him a 35% chance to make it. But I still see us picking someone else up before the final cuts are made.

He's is the second best pass rusher!! So 100% that shouldn't make any lions fan feel happy!!

I don’t know if the money holds true THE WHOLE TIME. At some point coaches will give you a chance, at that point it’s up to player. I think of 6 round on practice team James Huston. He kept making hard for. Is he’s not to play him, players were saying this guy needs a chance. He gets his chance and kills it. Before he got hurt he was actually expanding his game to be in coverage and was doing a pretty fair job.
So Janes H.IV was making league min, playing ahead of Harris, Romeo and his brother Julian…good coaches are not thinking about $

100% correct, once you're in the Den, it doesn't matter what you're making or how you got in the door. Talent plays...
