He does a radio show with these guys weekly during the season. I think this was just him acknowledging them and the relationship he’s developed with them. I don’t think it means he’s listening to the station regularly, I hope he’s not. A classy gesture though for sure

It was close between Stafford and Goff for who was my favorite Lions qb. This instantly vaults Goff past Stafford for me. Sorry Matt, but that was just too cool for Jared to just call in like that. I don't think Stafford would ever do that.
Stafford wanted Hollywood and life in the hills type of celebrities. Goff wants to just enjoy a "basic" life (as basic as rich af can be). Be able to go out and about and it not be cameras all over and photographers that. His answers of "would you buy it" were great
Numbers wise they aren't even close but as much as I'm a huge Matt fan I think Jared has that chip on his shoulder and is a little more on the think big mode and is ready to die for it

If it had been just Stafford for Goff we wouldn't be having this convo as those draft picks are the reason for this success. Did you say that same thing when we went 0-16 in Goffs first season here while Stafford was winning a SB???

It’s not a two-year window. They can free up $35.8M in 2026 by a simple restructure. Another &19.3M available in 2027.
Granted I’m not the one signing the checks 😂 but they built in flexibility if needed.

@@joshlewis575 Mike Disner gets promoted with a new title every year, and other teams have tried to poach him. Have heard from several sources he’s regarded a master capologist. Brad brings his name up a lot.
I get that Holmes gets the glory (& the criticism) bc he’s the HMFIC but I’ve heard him admit that is not his strongest area, he leans on Disner’s team.
Just one more example of how excellence has become normative in Allen Park since Sheila Hamp started running the show 4 years ago.

Can you guys see Stafford calling in unsolicited on a radio show? Matt is more talented than Goff no doubt but I like Goff being open in his conversations and not PC like Matt. Matt was PC like he had a PR in his ear all the time and seemed afraid to say the wrong thing. The Lions coddle Matt all the time too and put him on the Mitch Albom show to protect him which was lame.
If Jarred win a SB here he will own this joint!
Goff does alot of good pr speak too but he's more sincere in his thought process it seems like. He also acknowledged when things were rough openly. Goff somehow being the better qb than one we drafted #1 is wild.
