  • These clever little circuit boards will allow you to connect and control DCCconcepts Mimic Ground Signals directly from any of our Cobalt Digital or Analog turnout motors.
Supplied with 2 and 3-wire plug-&-play connection leads for very easy installation.
    Contents:
    1x Ground Signal Interface Board
1x Cobalt iP Digital Connection Cable
1x Cobalt iP Analog / Omega Connection Cable
1x Alpha Mimic Signal Extension Lead
    Single pack: www.dccconcepts.com/product/g...
    Triple pack: www.dccconcepts.com/product/g...
Forthcoming videos will demonstrate how to also connect them to our range of ADS Solenoid decoders, Cobalt SS as well as a toggle switch and other brands of turnout motors.

Will this Dwarf system setup work with existing Tam Valley Frog Juicer boards that auto switch the polarity for me? All I need is a dwarf signal system thats plug n play... Turnouts are manual pull nobs... but yes turnouts are wired for dcc.

How long are you cutting the wires that go into the Cobalt Turnout Motor? Also, what is the gauge wire that you are using? I seem to be having trouble seating the wires under the pin.

Hi Andrew - the wires should be stripped back approx 10mm and twisted together with the main bus wires before inserting into the motor spring terminal - any problems, give us a call on 01729 821080

Can this be used with servos? I have Digitrax Ds78V driving my DSXSV9 servos which drive the points. I'm looking for a way to connect either ground or pole mounted signals to my layout and operate when points are thrown. Any help is appericated.

The board requires DCC power to function - so if the servo control board has frog power output, you can connect to these terminals.

Can these be used on DC with other makes of point motors e.g. Seeps?

Hello Stuart - yes, the ground signals can be used on DC using a standard DPDT switch. The 4-packs of the ground signals include resistors for this purpose. The ground signal control boards can only be operated with slow-action point motors.

Hi Are the cobalt motors still really noisy or has it been fixed?

    • @dccconceptsyoutube6446

You can make Cobalt motors quieter by using the included foam pad to adhere to the baseboard. Using screws will transfer motor noise to your baseboard which will act as a drumskin. The foam pad is included as sound insulation.

Why are you using two ground signals in the demo .. one red one green ?? I know I'm missing something here 😕

How do you wire the Interface to a Cobalt SS Controller ? Thanks.

Hi Charley - you can connect the wires to the frog switch output on the Cobalt SS Control Board in the same way as connecting to the iP Digital Frog Output.

Sir, ground signals used for which purpose?

    • @dccconceptsyoutube6446
      @dccconceptsyoutube6446  Před 11 měsíci

Ground signals are used around the world on railways to give indication of the limit of shunt or where "post" signals are not possible to site. You'll see them in stations on the points through the platforms etc...
