@@edabakb Originally the creator wanted it to have six seasons, guess calling it limited is his Trojan way of forcing the series to Hulu

Yatsua It should have been. What a terrible waste of money when there are palaces they could have filmed in.
The Great was filmed on locations like Hatfield House and Hever Castle but any interior set filming is done at London 3 Mill studios. It's normal. It was also like that with ITV/Masterpiece Theater's Victoria starring Jenna Coleman which films their Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle interior scenes mostly at an airport hanger in Leeds but exterior shots are shot at palaces or houses like Harewood House and Allerton Castle.
The exterior shots are shots at Reggia di Caserta in Italy where I live.
@@tessdurberville711 idk but i heard there are rules that makes the places(esp. Interiors of a mansion) unable to be filmed because of preservation and stuff
@@hannahalonso4178 They filmed that horrible Sofia Coppola Marie Antoinette movie in Versailles as did the miniseries, The Favorite used the interiors and exteriors of Hatfield House, Downton Abbey used the interiors of Highclere Castle except for the kitchens and servants hall. Dangerous Liaisons, Tess, Restoration all used interiors.

Ty Hall Game of Thrones started almost a decade ago, and finished awhile ago. So I agree with the OP - this is some of the best casting I’ve seen in a good while. I would have said the same thing almost a decade ago when I started watching GoT.
Gorgeous. I hope the sets will be reused on other productions in the future. It'd be a shame if everything gets smashed at the end of the show's run.
Sometimes sets like this get auctioned off to museums, and private collectors and households.
But sometimes they do get destroyed, and that would be a great shame...and very wasteful.
Can’t believe how this was snubbed by the Emmys. Friggin best show of the year. Hope it does better at the Golden Globes.

loooove how each character has their own little universe - can you imagine how luxurious that is for the actors??? they can really live and breathe their characters in these rooms

i didn't think about how much work it would've been to create such beautiful sets. now i want to rewatch all the episodes and pay more attention to the sets and costuming
Charity Wakefield tlks and moves as if she was still playing her character. So elegant and refined.
I really hope we get at least 1 more season. I laughed so hard watching the show.

Absolutely loved this tour of the set. The Great will become a cult classic. So so sad it’s not coming back for S4. So many promising storylines that could have been brought to life. Congratulations to all involved in The Great. You shall be missed.
