  • Today, i am showing you how to change your Audi A6 C6 radiator. This DIY does not include coolant bleeding and refilling. Make sure you use Volkswagen / Audi / Porsche approved coolant fluid, it is usually pink coloured. I apologize for some dark area places. Enjoy ! Any questions, feel free to ask down below. I

    This is a great video.
    Ask a question.
    You removed the transmission cooler line on the passenger side and a little oil fell out. Is it transmission oil? Or is it engine oil?
    Does the O-ring need to be replaced?
    Also, when injecting coolant, how did you bleed the air without using a vacuum?
    I do not live in an English-speaking country.
    Thank you.

      I think it was transmission oil that came out from the lines. I strongly suggest to replace the O-rings. All i did was, i left the coolant bottle cover opened, left the car idle & rev a bit, the coolant will slowly go down. Then keep refilling till the MAX line.

    What is the name of the part that looks like a radiator that you didn’t disconnect from the hoses? 12:02 I know that grammar was terrible. But it’s the best I got. (Pls help)

    I'm surprised. Because the german model looks different and there you can bring it to service position. On german model you don't need to remove the cooler and so on. But good to know.

    2009 C6. Everything was the same...up until I have to pull out the radiator. Not the same. This is the 3.0T, so, the radiator is mounted differently. Have you replaced a radiator on a 3.0T?

    How different is it to do this on a 2012 Audi a6?

    • @MTLJack
      @MTLJack  Před rokem

      probably the positions of the screws are all different. Different screw or bolt sizes but in general, shoulnt be too far off.

    This can be an all day job at home. Unless you are very fast and skilled. Im doing this right now and it is time consuming alot of bolts and parts have to come out. Prolly 4 or 5hrs. I charged 8hrs of labor.
