  • This video shows how easy it is - to remove front bumper cover and headlights (clusters) on Audi A6 (C6 4F).
    Important note! Behind wheel arch inliner there are few more screws that were not present in the video! Please see this description:
    www.wheelsandmotors.com/manua...
    One more important note: this particular vehicle doesn't have a plastic underbelly cover (underneath the engine). It supposed to be connected to bumper cover by 3 bolts. This is the only bit I can't show you, so any comments welcome.
    To see description of what we've done (or much more regarding this car), please follow link bellow:

    If you are looking for tools for this job, please check this eBay page:

    Thanks!

    Finally a video where you don't have to remove the front tires to remove the bolts in the wheel well to get the bumper off. Thank you guys!

    Another great video! Thank you very much!
    IN CASE SOMEONE's RADIATOR FAN IS GOING 100% as soon as you turn the engine ON, these are simple steps to save you some decent chunk of money:
    1) (remove bumper; it's not even needed to be competely removed, just the passenger's side to be dropped)
    No need to remove wheels, just turn them to side and undo the wheel arch cover (3 screws) and then bend it.
    2) Unscrew the T20 on little plastic cover on the right hand side of the radiator.
    3) Undo the connector on the AC pressure sensor.
    4) Undo the sensor with spanner 24mm.
    5) Replace, and go backwards to the first step.
    Woala :)
    This literally takes about 40mins.

    On my 2005 A6 the underbelly, as you call it, is fastened to the bumper cover with flat head twist lock screws. They required only 1/2 or 1/4 turn counter clockwise to pull out. Thank you for the video. I forgot about the nuts inside the wheel well (one on each side). LOL Had to watch your video again to see why it wasn't coming off. Thank you for the video!

I've read conflicting info on whether you need to take bumper off or can reach down the side of radiator from above, also whether you need to remove the gas from the aircon system, so will be great to see a vid as I've not yet found one for C6, which seems odd as it's a very common issue

    Hi, I have the same Audi but with xenon headlights. I'm having trouble with the headlight washers, they do come out and spray on the headlight but they don't slide back in. I think the nozzle pumps left and right need to be replaced. My question is.. do I have to take off the whole bumper to replace the pumps or could I reach them if I took the wheelcover off?

    • @wawayltd

      I didn't have any of that "posh" stuff :) As far as I know there are 2 sprayers, but the actual pump is located behind wheel liner of the front left wheel. I think if they spray - your pump is alright, you might have trouble with nozzle units. Not sure how to replace them though, sorry :(

      Thanks.... Your videos are brilliant.... I watched the one with your black A6 and I have seen the 3 screws for the underbelly protector. The reason i have to get this bumper off i I have Parking sensors (3 of which are defective as is the main loom so I have one from Germany (Kufatec))
      I also have the headlight Washers so I have to be careful of them too.
      There is another GErman video with a guy with a similar set up so I will try to combine both videos when I attempt this next weekend.
      My biggest problem now is my rear high level brake light...... I need to replace. As I have an avant, it is not so easy. the rear trim on the rearboot needs to come off and it seems all to easy to break!!!! My MOT is round the corner and if I cannot replace, this is a fail!

    • @poosnip
      @poosnip Před 8 lety

    • @wawayltd
      @wawayltd  Před 8 lety

      +poosnip Apparently to avoid breaking clips the temperature must be above 20 degrees, they even recommend to heat it up with hot air blower. Also "it is sufficient to unclip and bend back top edge of trim at top of rear lid
      only" whatever that means. I have a video for light to be replaced on A6 saloon, but have no practical experience with Avant, so can't be much of a help, sorry..

      +ром ромов Извини, Ром! У меня этой машины больше нету. Пока новых видео с Ауди не запланировано. Пока снимаю другие машины. На данный момент с Гольфом балуюсь. Время покажет, может как-нибудь ещё и до Аудиков опять доберусь.
