Hi everyone! Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the tour! Here's a pinned comment with info you might be wondering about~
You can find timestamps of all the main points of my island and a link to a post with all the (available) custom patterns I used in my island in the description box.
I purposely didn't include a map of my island because I wanted to edit it to make it more detailed (add custom pathing and trees, etc) but didn't finish it in time for this video's release. I will most likely post it on my blog. Edit: It's here: pasteliapeaches.com/post/618953086647648256/
If you’re wondering why I keep repeating a lot of the same phrases, it’s because I recorded the gameplay first and then recorded voiceovers when I was editing the video so I felt like I needed to speak for the entire time of showcasing an area and I didn’t know what to say so I just kept repeating for the sake of not having awkward silences loool.
It took me ~300 hrs to get my island to look like this. And yes, I time traveled but time traveling does not automatically make your island "beautiful" contrary to popular belief. It still took ~300 real life hrs of my time so please do not discredit the effort that went into creating my island. If you don't like to time travel, that's great and more power to you! I've been playing the Animal Crossing series since 2005 and want to play my game how I want to and I hope you can respect that!
You can get the villagers you want by trading, mysterious island hopping, using your campsite, or buying them on websites like nookazon. To get items that you want you can also trade with people online, I’d also recommend nookazon for this.
And you can get a second house on your island by creating a second profile on your switch and going through all the motions of upgrading houses all over again lol.

@Buttered Lumps Yes, I think what they mean is to use a second profile on your switch, so you have your main Buttered Lumps account with your nice established house that you've been working on. But then you create a second user on your switch, Sugar Lumps... then start playing as that user. Sugar Lumps will get their own tent on the island and you can then play as that user to build up Sugar Lumps' house and do whatever you want with it, like turn it into a cafe, sushi bar, restaurant, etc!

are we all just going to ignore the fact that this was posted on April 26th. That's 38 days after the release of this game. She said it took 300 hours of game play (i'll assume that's an approximation). That is 12.5 days worth of game play in 38 DAYS. that means approximately 33% of her time is spent playing this game. Someone with a regular 40 hour work week (under non-quarantine circumstances) works 100 LESS hours in the same span of time. If you sleep exactly 8 hours every night, imagine converting all of that time to game play. THAT'S what it takes to make this island.
Don't feel bad, or put yourself down, because your island doesn't look like this... seriously

I got my switch pretty late, but I always wondered how all those beautiful island creators back in April-May managed to slave away so many hours. Personally, I think taking your time with everything you do is a lot more enjoyable in the long run.

I normally play every day, for a few hours in the morning, and then a few more hours in the evening, depending on whether or not I forget to charge the switch. My island looks soo bad right now, because I keep decorating small chunks of my island, then watching videos like this, and erasing everything. I have moved my villagers soo many times...first I thought they should all be spread out. Then I wanted them all together. Now I want them all close together but far apart enough to have little yards of their own and ahhhhh, thank you for saying this. Seriously.

Mainly the fact she uses the thing that lets you place grass. Water makes you feel like you don't have much space, obviously, so something that removes that would make it feel bigger.

I agree!! I would have never known how much I love Carmen if she didn't just randomly move into my town. I didn't know Stitches and Merengue were popular either but liked them from the get go and they are still on my island! I can't knock them too much bc AC is about playing your own way, but it does feel a little sad seeing so many people have like 8/10 of their villagers just be the popular ones.
물건-I agree with this. Fauna, Sherb & Ketchup were the three villagers I got from the plots Tom Nook asks you to build at the start of the game. I love them, but they’re the only ‘popular’ villagers I have, and it’s not because I went searching for them, it’s because they were just there. The rest of my villagers aren’t really as popular, but I still love them all the same. And, like you said, bashing people because they only have popular villagers isn’t an okay thing to do because, in the end, it’s just a game, and people should be free to play it however they wish. It makes me sad seeing people put themselves down. I get feeling like your town might not be as good, but she's showing you a final product that still took her a lot of time.
Think of it like a puzzle. Seeing her island you can take the parts you like and slowly but surely add each little puzzle piece. Just keep building until you're happy.
If you feel like there's suppose to be an ending point, there isn't. The game ends when you don't want to play anymore. Enjoy the gameplay. :>

In one of the games, you can catch an octopus in the ocean and if you had an octopus villager and they saw you do it, they'd be really mad at you. I don't remember which one it was; a friend was playing it and showed me.

I only learned yesterday, that when a villager is moving away and has all their items in boxes, another player can talk to them and invite the villager to their own island. Nobody had told me since I don't really have friends xD

@@karnalevin7333 no the light can *not* be connected to the tv. God knows how many different ways i tried. But it is a good solution to not owning a switch. I boughed mine for 150€ when it costs new like 200€

Yeah I was pretty proud of my island and thought I've spent a lot of time and work but fck it I've done NOTHING after watching this masterpiece. Your island looks like you have a lot more space than I have, turns out I'm not using my space right. I'm so jealous in all the good ways and you deserve everyone wathcing this to be jealous.

yeah :( it feels like the game loses all personality when ppl only go for the popular nice looking villagers, i feel like the villagers are the games best asset and it’s a waste seeing ppl go only for the “popular” ones
Ang Z so true. I do want cute villagers, but the other villagers are really entertaining and unique. The ones everyone want kind of aren’t really special anymore but to be honest, basic.

She TTed. Doing something like this without TTing is basically impossible. Yes, I think it's beautiful, but I'd like to see someone do something similar without having to cheat, I suppose. I only TTed once and that was to reopen my clothing store for a friend for a design I made them (a goth kimono). I went back just one hour so that she could go in, get it, and then I could set the time back on my Switch. As soon as I did that, I didn't do it again because I wanted to play the game that the creators made the way they were MEANT for it to be played. They put so much work into it, so exploiting the system just doesn't feel right in my eyes. People who TT will end up tossing the game sooner because they'll have spoiled all of the nice things for themselves. I'm REALLY happy that Nintendo is holding events behind system updates. I think it SHOULD be a surprise for everyone and I think patience is a wonderful thing. It makes all the hard work worth it. I have a really nice friend that TTs, but she did it only for the turnips. She's stayed close to the current date so as to really experience the game the way it's MEANT to be experienced. I'm kind of hoping that the game will, eventually, delete your previous island if you TT in future installments. But, for now, it's your island and you should be able to play the game how you wish. It was by no means a cheap game (none of Nintendo's IPs are), so your money should be spent the way you want it to be.
Still is a beautiful island, though.
Captain Ducky don't shame people for TT, even Nintendo said that if you want to it's okay. I personally don't cause im lazy but people should play the way they want and not feel bad bc they do

@@CaptainLuckyDuck It's not very nice to make assumptions. If you go on my blog, you'll see that I admit that I only TT to tomorrow and back so that new events/seasons don't get spoiled. The only time I TT-ed more than that was back to April 10 to record this video. I have 300 hrs put into my island, and 300 hrs put into the game spread over 1 year vs 300 hrs put into the game in just one month is essentially the same thing, I don't understand how people can't seem to comprehend that.

Your island is absolute goals...I've seen a lot of islands that look either too busy or too open for my tastes, but yours is a perfect balance all the way through, even indoors!

My husband and I started to play ACNH about a month ago because we live in the US and our 24 year old Bay loves this game and said it would be fun to play with us! My husband has been recuperating from a procedure due to brain cancer, so playing ACNH took our minds off of all that.
