I've seen a number of 5-star island tours, and the main issue I have with them is that they're over cluttered. Items and intricate custom designs are everywhere, and flowers fill in every gap. I'm glad to see a design that is clean and simple. Nice work.

@Vesmir nge Flowers are fine, but not at the expense of some clear open space. Too many flowers (or any item) can make an island look worse from all the excessive clutter.

It's easy for that to happen since 5 stars requires a lot of items to be placed
@@mimipeahes5848 I have 5 stars, and I probably have under 300 flowers on my island. I have a decent amount of fences, since it's around each house, a park, the tailors, and a bamboo forest, so that helped. As for items, I don't have too much (a few specific scenes in spots). Trees do count towards the rating, so having those (with little else around them) also adds to it.
I love the "simplicity" of your island, you can walk around, there's lots of place, you can breathe! I love it!

LOL I do the same thing! I change every day and have way too many clothes. Just cause its quarantine doesn't mean that we have to sit in the same clothes day after day in animal crossing...LOL

😂😂😂 Interior Decorating isn’t actually my full time job. I just went to school for it. I actually own my own sticker shop!
I have Bianca and she is hands down my favorite villager. Something about her being a white tiger and a "pop star" just works. She tried to leave and it was heartbreaking, but luckily I told her to put her ass back in her house.
Yes! I love her so much! She tried to leave our island too! I told her "HECK NO GIRL!" :P
ME BUT WITH MARINA!!!! i talk to her everyday in order to make her wanna stay and she still asked to leave. i said NOPE
@@ClaireVandeman all villagers will ask to leave about 15 days after they move in, it is in the game code. Dont be worried about if a villager asks to move out. it's also in the game that they will randomly ask to leave whether or not they love your island. the only way they would want to move on purpose is because they are mad because of villagers being mean, you ignoring them for long periods of time and being mistreated < hit with nets, fallen in pit fall seeds, etc. > it's totally okay marina is just randomly asking, especially if you talk to her every day!

My little Kendall a tip for island decorating is to earn LOADS of bells and move all your villagers houses onto the beach out of the way, then decorate/ plan your island and then place the houses where you want them!!

I know! I love mott! His house is so cute with the little library. Although, I do wish they leant into his college professor vibe instead of just making him a jock like all the other villagers, I’m a little sick of all my villagers being jocks

This makes me so happy ! I had Mott.. i didn’t like him and knew i wasn’t keeping him but it always breaks my heart to see them leave and i thought i hope someone out there loves this guy and here it is !! I feel this way about Tabby. Not a lot of tabby fans but i will never let her leave my island. Love finding the beauty in the less popular villagers

NH is my first animal crossing game ever and I’m so unsure of how to even start decorating!!! It’s so scary ahhhh
this is the first ever animal crossing game that gives you this much freedom in desiging your island/town/whatever the setting is for each different game. its crazy the terraforming just transformed the WHOLE ANIMAL CROSSING GAME EXISTENCE
Honestly same, I’m finally able to terraform but I haven’t done anything yet bc IM SCARED AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO OR WHERE TO START

If you’re wanting more black roses instead of tirelessly cross breeding you can just get them to clone! It’s really easy
And having 5 people water them each day helps so much^^
Duplication is definitely easier than breeding them

How do you clone?
Bel A you pretty much isolate that flower you wanna clone, water it everyday religiously until you get another. Once more spawn from breeding, put those flowers with the ones you're trying to clone and they'll sometimes breed with each other/clone
I’m so glad you have you villager’s more separated and in their own area. All the tours I watch are the same, they have them all lined up in the same area. Lol love this!
So I'm just about to hit terraforming and rn I feel like I've got no space for all my ideas but also too much space 😫 I swear I watch these 5* island tours and can't get over their use of space. Your island seems so spacious and natural!
Don't watch tons of these vids and kinda do your own thing. That's what I'm doing, and I'm lovin my evolving island

It depends a lot on how many fences/hedges/flowers/furniture you have set outside on all corners of the island
I have had 4 starts for the longest time I’m trying so hard to get 5 stars but its so hard
I got 5 stars on my old island by making lots of inclines, or at least I think that's what pushed the rating over.
Love your island!! I was 3 weeks into mine and hating the layout so this inspired me to totally restart the game 🤣 ended up getting two characters I wanted and the perfect starter island layout!

You gotta follow that "Animal Crossing feng shui" so all the red stuff to the right, yellow to the left and green long the bottom. That's how you get the happy home designer people to give you a high score.
Lol!! I know right! I need to seriously reconsider this whole interior decorating thing! 😂😂 no but in all actuality I don’t care about the HHA score. I just want my house to look cute and how I want it! 👍🏻
Nikki Horner yeah I considered doing all that but then in the end I hated how it looked. I would rather a cute house then a good HHA score for sure. 😊👍🏻
@@JennaRoseBeasley I just got my hha score as high as I could then just went ahead and designed my house the way I wanted. 🤣 But I remember the hha in animal crossing actually gave you stuff for your house not just items that you may already have. Like I was hoping they would bring back the gold roof, door, mailbox etc. 😩
My deco is totally random and I’ve never once not gotten an S hahaha I guess AC is biased
Just in case no one else has said it yet - your hybrids will not duplicate if they are touching other flowers if the same type! You can mix them with other types tho.

LOVE the hybrid garden! I see a lot of gardens either tucked away in a corner, or abandoned all together after growing certain hybrids, so yours was refreshing! Also, I’ve been wanting to make my island still be comfortable and cutesy while still, like, building it up into something more impressive. I appreciate the inspiration your video gave 💚💚

Your village looks great! I just put a boardwalk on my beach. With the teacup ride, Cotten candy machine, popcorn and a few arcade games. It looks great!
I love the fair/boardwalk idea!!! :) We kind of started that with our board game area but the rides and machines would be a great added touch! :)
I did that too! A little wooden boardwalk with a snack bar going up and a teacup ride going down, with a few bushes and streetlights in the middle. It's not much, but it's cute at least.

Guys, your island is gorgeous! I love it 😻 the beach area is kind of difficult to come up with different ideas,especially because there is so much of it! I have a lookout area and a swim between the flash (poles) area with some beach chairs and lifeguard chair. You should try breeding the purple mums to get a green...I finally got one the other day! Can’t wait to see more animal crossing videos from you both!

I'm totally with you on the reading thing. Aurora and Diana are the readers of my island and I take a screen cap every single time I come across either of them reading cos their lil glasses and watching the reactions on their faces to what they're reading is just the most precious thing I've ever seen.
Anyway! Beautiful island!!! I've been struggling trying to decorate because I feel like my spaces are just too empty but you've shown me it doesn't need to be decked out to look amazing. :)
I so love your island. It’s beautiful, functional and looks cozy.
An idea for your beach area, if you guys participated in the fishing turney you may have a lot of items you could set up to look like a fishing spot. Maybe a lawn chair, cooler for fish, fishing pole stand and poles. It's something I did, and I've seen a few people do it too. Those items can be customized as well, so you can do multiple fishing spots. I have one on my beach (the little peninsula of grass) & one at my campsite.
Francis has his little fishing stand thing so we could definitely build off of that and make a little fishing area. :) Thanks!

honestly this island is so cute lol, all the 5 star islands i see are super overcrowded, and you barely have anywhere to walk. your island is so simple and so cute at the same time, and you actually have free space to walk around in! lol
I've seen a lot of island tours and most of them stress me out because it seems like so much WORK AND EFFORT, and I just don't have the time to invest into this game lol. But your island is so amazing omg, gives me the confidence that you don't need super detailed and complicated deco to make the island look good!!

Feels a bit "perfect". Needs some oddities to feel alive a bit more. Instead of two cafe tables each with two chairs and the same cup of coffee, maybe one has one chair and food or tea to make it less copy and pasted. Helps to reduce the pristine aspect.

Rayna Bussey you can create or use the able sisters ATM to import other peoples custom designs! then purchase a ‘simple panel’ and customize it with said design and you’re all set!!

I totally agree about the lion villagers.. Tom put 2 on my island and they were always peeking in the windows! Especially Mott (the same on in the campsite) . like stay away from my house 😂

This is the first video of yours I've seen before and omg, your island is freakin' beautiful!! You also have such a beautiful recording voice. Suggestion for the beach: wedding set if you're playing along with wedding season, it works really well on mine :)

I love your island !! I think its quite different from other 5 stars but in an awesome way, i love how its not too overly decorated, and i how its all spread out nicely too !!! Also i have mott and i love him!! His house gives me frat boy vibes and it makes sense since he's a jock lol so i made the outside look like a frat house
