Looking forward to hearing from you!
I love these people and their languages so much, so beautiful ❤
You have chosen a rhyming text for Tibetan but non-rhyming for Dzongkha. In Sino-Tibetan languages, this will lead to a big difference.
oh so this is why Dzongkha text was so different when comparing to Tibetan one
@@AsylumDaemon yes.....the tibetan text was in poem format with each sentence containing equal syllables...the dzongkha text was in normal paragraph format
@@pankac6438thanks🙂
@@pankac6438 yet until the last two sentences or something, the parallels between the two texts could somewhat be seen
I can't believe the Bhutanese language has music for words!
a lot of sino Tibetan languages have tones, even the languages affected by Chinese or Burmese have tone.
@@samye2001 They're talking about the background music bud and they were joking.
Tibetan sounds very musical! ❤
These are some of the more beautiful sounding languages in that area of the world I think. Tibetan really does soundso musical, it's one of my favs to listen to.
Languages so beautiful to hear!!!! Greetings from Brazil 😁👋🇧🇷
I love this channel so much!
Yes, thanks.
Wow, numbers sounds surprisingly similar to Japanese, especially 1 through 5!
It’s because these languages are Sino Tibetan and the Japanese numerals commonly used are the Chinese borrowings
That's because you're comparing it to Sino-Japanese numerals, compare it with the NATIVE Japanese numerals, then there'll be no resemblance.
Because Japan borrowed from Chinese duh
There are a few ways to count in Japanese language. YAMATO Japanese way of counting were...
1: ひとつ (HITOTSU)
2: ふたつ (FUTATSU)
3: みつ (MITSU)
4: よつ (YOTSU)
5: いつつ (ITUTSU)
6: むつ (MUTSU)
7: ななつ (NANATSU)
8: やつ (YATSU)
9: ここのつ (KOKONOTSU)
10: とを (TOH)
Sometimes, people just used the first sound ひ(HI)、ふ(FU)、み(MI) to count for convenience.
The pronunciation of numbers in Tibetian is closer to that in Japanese than that in Chinese. That is because Japanese preserve the older pronunciation better than modern Chinese itself. For example, 5 in ancient Chinese is "nga." You see that in Tibetian it is "nga" too, and in Japanese, "go." However, the modern Chinese language experienced a drastic evolution, and nowadays people pronounce 5 as "wu3."
Really very similar considering the Himalaya just in the middle
I feel so satisfied when i look at languages like these. The letter are beautiful.
Remember, Tibetan and Dzongkha are Buddhist so no problem to have Lord’s Prayer in this video
I'm from Baltistan Pakistan . We also speak this language . Its named Balti language here
Thank you!
Excelente
You also have to make a comparison of U-Tsang, Amdo, and Khams language
Tibetan, Dzongkha, Sikkimese and Ladakhi all are written in the same script I believe.
yep,but languages themselves are very different now. But from what i know ,most people around tibet knows some degree of Lahsa Tibetan
@@samye2001 most will speak their own dialects, the people of the TAR will know some LhasaTibetan since its the main media language there. Dzongkha by the way is closer to Lhasa Tibetan than many of the so called dialects are
Kinnauri also
They all use tibetan script because all these small states were once under tibetan empire…hence the big influence
Sikkimese was a purely spoken language, it later adopted the Sambhota script like many other Tibetic languages.
ཡག་པོ་འདུག་🙏👍👍👍
Tibetan and Bhutan are my favorite counties ❤️
Tibetan is not a country it’s the language the country is called Tibet

Thank you for the information
@@dalubwikaan161 you’re welcome. Oh, and by the way, I’m making my own language it’s called Yeni I don’t have any words in it yet.
@@Cottonmouthasp372 ccp bot in action🗿🗿
the 6 million Tibetan Chinese ,97%Tibetan population ,are the owner of China .Tibet is part of China .when Tibetan Chinese travel to Bhutan ,Nepal ,India they are Chinese from China .of course they are proud of being Chinese .when Tibetan Chinese travel to Taiwan, the locals in Taiwan even salute to Tibetan Chinese !😃
Man you guys need to do a video about Low German, or Middle Low German or Old Saxon. These languages are really underrated and don’t appear often even if you search for it
I think they already exist, but då ha'j wa geliek an.
Because
Are they mono/disyllabic like mandarin?
😊❤
Balti language
Hello I want to learn dzongkha, from where can I learn brother❤.
It’s sounds like Chinese but it’s completely different
Is there a reason all the Tibetan sentences are seven syllables? 😅
poem
It's written in a specific poetic way. I believe Dzongkha could also be written in a similar fashion, but for whatever reason, it isn’t in this case.
6=၆
9=၉
10=၁၀ scripts are similar to Burmese. 5 /Nga/is also the same sound.😃 It's interesting.
Are these languages same?
Looks like writing system and scripts same.
Writing system is same but the spoken language is little bit different.
Does anyone know what language the Buddhist monks speak in the Tibet temple?
Mostly Tibetan.
Could you please compare Kyrgyz and Altay? Those two belong to Kyrgyz-Kypchak language family
Would actually be happy to see one, plus the khakas as well
Tibetan: China [Tibet]
Dzongkha: Bhutan,
They have the same alphabet!!--
Tibetan:
ངས ཁྱོད ནས ཉལ
Dzongkha:
ཕིནྦཏཅོ
did you just type random not even words, letters in both the languages? 😂
All Tibetic languages use the same script
Wow! I haven't heard of Tibetan before! Ita like they are reciting a poem!
It sounds like a poem because it is one. The tibetan translation is written in verses.
I want kongpo language
I'm over here thinking these were the same language. Now I know they're not the same language.
Balti spoken in Baltistan and Ladakh is also similar to these languages
Nah. It's true the origin may be tibetic but the language as it is is very different
“Chu tham”😂
Love from Bhutan 🇧🇹. Tibet and Bhutan are brothers . May Tibet get freedom. Chapsu choe 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
No!Tibet is and will always be an inalienable territory of China.
not at all. we are very different from one another. we are the superior culture, you follow our religion and culture and eat ema datshi😂😂
@@sonam1959_haha nice joke. In what way we follow your culture
@@TenzinGyelek-lg5cp you guys follow tibetan buddhism and copy all our customs... but you guys are tribal 😂
@@sonam1959_ we follow drukpa kagu.
Bhutan silence on Tibet issue is no unfortunate. As if Bhutan has nothing in common with Tibet.
we are actually VERY distinct. We don't need their support in the free tibet movement, we have Ladakh's support. Bhoe gyalo
Ever heard of geopolitics? Bhutan's Traditional Neighbor in the North is now Occupied by CCP wuhan ppl. To the south is India. As resilient as Bhutan is, Bhutan can't do much against West Taiwan without support from powerful nations. Sadly powerful nations like US, UK, France, Israel & even India are all bark but no bite when it comes to human rights & freedom. The UN is literally a b*tch for the 5 permanent SC members.
@@sonam1959_ And what can Ladakh Do? Bhutan is literally caught in the middle cuz of ccp's & India's petty squabbles with each other even without Tibet being in the Discussion. It would be better if US, India, UK & other nuclear nations not aligned with CCP West Taiwan, help the Tibetans get back their homeland. But they won't aside from offering faux sympathies & just talk. Tibet should be free yes but unless those powerful nations agree, it will take a long time or some miracle to do so.
They are actually quite different; Dzongkha can't be classified as a dialect of Tibetan itself like Kham, Ambo & Ü-Tsang is; Even my own language of Yakthumpa is a descendant of the Sino-Tibetan family; But, the reason people think that Dzongkha is a dialect of Tibetan is because they're both Buddhist.
Sounds like Chinese with scrambled combination of words.
Actually its the other way around. Sino Chinese dialects/languages sound like mishmashed Dzongkha/Tibetan with a bit of nepali mixed in 😅
@@perkwunos2499 Anyway that's amazing since actually Sino Chinese people get much more contact with eastern ethnics speaking Kra-Dai, Hmong, and even Manchurian or Mongolian languages. However those languages sounds quite different while Tibetan is so similar in phonetics.
@@perkwunos2499 Sinitic languages & Tibeto-Burman languages have diverged a lot; I would not say "Nepali mixed in" is a very accurate description, brother.
@@walangchahangyelingden8252 I know. It was jab at the person who believed Tibeto-Burman & Sintic Languages are similar. While both families are indeed related, like you said they diverged a long time ago. This was also a jab at ppl who genuinely think Dzongkha is just “Another Variety” or “dialect of Standard/Lhasa Tibetan” when in truth Dzongkha has been proven by language experts to be a related but a complete different language from any of the Tibetan Languages/Dialects spoken in Tibetan & by the Tibetan Diaspora. But ppl still believe this “Dzongkha is Same as Tibetan” BS.
@@perkwunos2499 ᤀᤠᤛᤣᤘᤫᤠᤖᤥ॥ My own language of Yakthumpa is as different as Dzongkha to Tibetan even though we're related. The only reason people think Dzongkha is a dialect of Tibetan is because they're both Buddhist & use the Sambhota script.
Are they mutually intelligible?
around 50 to 65 %.......i am a bhutanese
Somewhat.
They look closely related
Bhutanese is considered a dialect of utsang tibetan by many tibetan people in China.
They are.
@@miles_kharmushirTibetan people in China ? Why Tibetan are living in China instead of their own country Tibet ?

Of course, brother; Our Yakthumpa language is a descendant of the Sino-Tibetan family too. 👍🏻
Very dificult to study.

Tibetian sounds like a rhimed mix of *Chinese* and Russian, Dzongkha - a bit simpy Tibetian.
Cuz the Tibetan used here is in a poem like structure while the Dzongkha used here is conversation type.
Tibetan sounds like gibberish with mandarin accent
oh
Songkha language, the pronunciation is similar to the Burmese language.
Same Family. Tibeto-Burman Language Family.
