I have one too on 6S that rips soooooooo hard. I did 2004 motors on mine and quad blade props, but not to dissimilar from yours. I carry that thing everywhere now since it is so easy to whip out and shred with.

I struggle with the aspect ratio of the 03... always seems very difficult seeing below u at 16:9 I find it makes a difference zooming out on the goggles. (Which I'm sure you already did lol)

Yea I got a 6s f3 too..Murders talked me in too..ha..noticed some shutter as well and I had to tighten the cam down a little tighter. Seemed to come loose after a crash or two. Thing rips and is a blast to fly! 🔥🔥🤘🤘

Hey. Are you at 248g with the GNB 6s 650mah HV battery pack shown? I've got the same frame and I'm sitting here for the last hour doing some complicated calculus to see how I can do the same. My build has 1404 motors, a stripped down o3 that weights 14g less than a normal o3, and with the 4s version of this battery, I am at 226grams. If I add the 6s version, I'm up to 256g.
How light is your FC/esc stack? The frame, o3 and motors weigh over 235g without props and battery strap - would love to know how you got sub 250 with that 100g battery
o3 is 35g the frame is 55 and the motors are 12x4 = ~50g (not sure how much cable). thats 160g combined. Where did you get your numbers from?
@@woutervossebeld4664 this was a while ago - I think I was including the battery and didn’t list it - he doesn’t say which battery (it’s clearly 6s but let’s take the lightest gnb yellow flower I could find - a 4s 650 at 70 grams - if we add that to your 160 we get 230 - if it’s the 6s he’s actually probably using (130g on its own or 100g if it’s the 650) we’re at 290 or 260 with no fc esc props Elrs module and hardware - I built this frame 6s and had to swap out those 1604 motors for 1404s while using an all in one fc/esc and can’t use more than a 450 6s mayyybe a 550 6s if I don’t use prop screws or any tpu and keep it under 250 at take off.
Look at the battery Murderfpv had to use to keep it sub 250 in his video - he can probably build lighter than I could as well.
TLDR - as shown that drone is not 249 grams with that battery
the drone with no battery could be under 250, but I don’t think it’ll fly well like that
My problem is always where to put the capacitor. I put it on the xt30 connector side for the first time on my last build but I was always under the impression it’s best to be closer to the fc.
Good point man. I buy the xt60 cables with pre installed caps to make it easier but I do also wish I could get my cap closer to my FC but from my experience if doesn’t make a diff
@@crank_FPV I lost a quad last week that was plagued with desyncs and mid to high throttle jitters. All parts brand new and even replaced motors which were new as well. The only thing that made sense was the cap placement at the xt30 side was not filtering noise enough. Unfortunately I can’t test that theory because I lost the bird, however I built another with the only difference being the cap is now on the ESC side. Never had this problem before with any other build and this was the first time I tried placing the cap on the power side.

Great vid! Does the F3 have props in view on the onboard dji dvr? I noticed you don't have props in view but other videos I've seen on the F3 split do have props in view. Is this the onboard dji dvr?

Although I haven’t tried a quadmula frame. From my experience split deck frame designs have always been more parts and more complicated in general.
It’s simply never had a issue with split its all I fly
If split deck makes you feel complicated, QUADMULA also provides non-split version😃
I have a BabyHawk 2 HD. It’s 3.5”. I flew the crap out of that thing for like a year. It was my main quad with a naked Hero 6 it was butter. I still have it, but the GoPro died and it doesn’t fly good with much more than a naked cam. Insta 360 Go2 is alright but that camera has a lot of issues. Specifically the battery life. 03 air unit will not really fit without a lot of mods and I would rather just get a frame specifically made for the 03 than rig an old drone with a perfectly good Vista in it.

I love my babyhawk2 . Got 3" and 4" apex . But 3.5" no props in view is just perfect juicy spot . Be good if they did a 3.5" version of the quadmauller
@@mx118racer I had to cut back on the spending on this hobby. The last FPV drone I bought was a Cinelog 35. It can carry just about any camera so my BabyHawk sits with a Runcam Thumb Pro on board and hardly gets flown. I am more about the footage than anything else, but Cinelog 35 is pretty loud so it is a Karen magnet. At least it look fairly harmless.
@@Nine_883 yea I hear ya on cutting back I got prob 25 digital quads atm . But now learning which ones I like . The 8x 5" quad just sit there and I regularly go back to 3-4" size. I have land to fly so Karen's don't bother too much . But use some for jobs chasing mx bikes and 4" definitely the sweet spot for that job.
@@mx118racer I live in the city. People seem to despise drones. They all think they are important enough in life for me to be spying on them or filming their activities. Like I really want to film old ladies walking their dog, but they call the cops. I never got in "trouble", but have been asked to take it somewhere else. Other times they have said go ahead and fly and they would tell the old lady it was perfectly legal. I have all my paperwork in order, but at this point the cops don't usually even know what to ask for. I show them that Trust and part 107 and the drone registration and they look at me like, "What the hell are all of those documents?"

I kept getting that same shutter and I found someone that took their camera apart and added some super glue to the barrel of the camera and I did that and it stopped the shutter. It seems that some of the O3 cameras are loose but you can't tell they are loose but the super glue stops it.

Hey! I live in LOL. I just picked up a Mach5 and i am eye balling a F3 Split... (wife not excited about that). Do you get the frame in view of the o3? or did you fix that? also i see a few 3d printed files for moving the camera forward and it gets 0 props and no frame in view, have you looked at that?

Interesting how more and more American CZcamsrs in this hobby are becoming more concerned about the noise and size (Weight) of these kwads.
Here in the UK I've been loving kwads like this now for last four or so years too many Karen's and regulations.
I also find that I don't break things as often when their smaller which is nice for my bank.
Anyway.... Always enjoy your videos

@@OriginaldoBo I thought 2850 was really high for 6s. I got the t motor 1604s for an Aos 3.5 I’m doing and was wanting to run 6s I’m kinda new to the hobby so didn’t know you could run it that high. Thought I heard bardwell say had to limit the throttle output.

Falls nicht schon gesehen, der neue Quadmula Djinn ist zwar 2,5" aber fliegt auch großartig und Props sind nicht im Sichtfeld der Kamera.
Gefühlt fliegt er sich besser als meine Siren F3 Split, könnte an den paar Gramm weniger liegen, muss ich mal bei besserem Wetter vergleichen.

@MurdersFPV My son & I just finished this build...and I watched your build vid also. What would cause the FC to not output 16v (FEC option is set at 16v in the GUI) and not get VISTA to power on? No shorts (verified) and continuity from the VISTA solder pad through the wires and connector to the corresponding FC solder pad.
6s battery at 23v on the ESC solder pad, and no shorts or solder bridges anywhere.
Short wire plugs between ESC and FC, wires quadruple checked for custom pinout (printed pictures from both Reaper and FETTEC and literally drew the wires in between the two printed pages).
No motor spin under KISS test mode, ESC has the three initial chirps on power up.
FC will update between offered firmware, then to KISS.
Ideas? Or bad FC...which I hope isn't the case...they seem to be in short supply...
@@JimmyJinIA you could test the pins with a multimeter to see if it's actually outputting the right voltage. Those electronic BECs fail pretty easily and I've never had luck with them. Also, they output 16v but it's a low amount of current. Like barely enough to make a Vista power up.
@@MurdersFPV I thought I put that in there...4.082 volts on the BEC pad.
Is it common/likely (have you hear of issues) that those FCs are defective out of the box? I've been soldering for decades and not concerned about that skill set. But still double checked for bridging with my 30x loupe I use in coin collecting.
I'll check the voltage at the pins, but assume (yeah I know) if the pad of a new board has a reading then I'd get the same reading at a pin. Guess I'll also just pull everything apart (again) and see if anything pops up.
If the voltage at the VCC off of an ESC is low, then a bad ESC? It's the FC that step down to lower voltage right, I mean...the ESC just passes battery through it...
Does this sound like a bad FC to you or is it more probable it's just a FW issue? I can't get BetaFlight to recognize the FC if I load/flash any non-KISS firmware. Your video build made that look super easy so I'm guessing it shouldn't be this hard 😆.
I think we have virtually the same thing as Ken and nearly the same as you on this build...but when it's your first build you don't know what the glaring problem is with a neon arrow pointing at it. Let me know if you see any incompatibility.
