DJI drones have stimulated the agriculture community and provided a solution where there was a great need. Please sign the petitions and contact your representatives. American farmers need you!

Can we just be honest here? It's not BIG Government, Congress or Politicians, it's one specific party ALWAYS pushing drone bans. It's the party of fear, retribution and insurrections, figure it out.

What about all the drones used in Hollywood productions? There is a ton of footage created and used in major productions. Are major production companies aware of this, and why are they not screaming at the top of their lungs about this. This is a financial shakedown and a ban of recreational droning no if ands or buts.

Awesome podcast. I got my Part 107 in Dec 2022. Bought the Mini SE as a my first drone. Worked my butt off to build a portfolio and experience with that little drone. Utilized Litchi, ND filters, signal boosters, exta batteries, etc to maximize it's capabilities. I saved up what I could and recently upgraded to the Mavic 3 Classic. I'm just starting to get some of my first clients. So the last part of the podcast hit home for me. To potentially see it go after all that time, effort and sacrifice...it's tough. It's become my passion to fly drones and I'm dreamed of handing down my business to my children one day. The drone community needs to band together and write/call our sentators. Otherwise, we're going to be spending the same of amount to takes to buy a small SUV...the technology still won't be good enough as DJI.

The reason why politicians cannot give you what the threat is in layman's term is because there is no threat. It's all politics.

I'm sorry to see something like this happen to Mikey. Im not sure if it's true, but I heard he had been warned by the FAA to stop violationing laws regarding drones. If so then you know right away that he had a target on his back and the man watching his every move. To continue to fly in this fashion regardless of being warned before its pure negligence. This would have been enough to scare me into being sure I followed the laws and flew as safe as I could in a city. Hopefully his fines are decreased and he and all of us learn from this. Fly safe, fly legally (or be ready to suffer the consequences), and don't post footage on social media that could incriminate you. I wish him nothing but the best of luck. This is just a Back Door way from special interest groups to shut down recreational flying and heavily regulate the commercial space. That’s why DJI is trying to out source their technology to other companies in other countries. So they can skirt the ban by having other companies build and sell non “DJI” Drones like the Spectra Air and more are coming down the pike

Does this mean we can’t fly our Djibouti drone. Or does it mean we can still fly without replacement parts.

I have been using the 16-35mm GM II with a Sony A7IV for real estate. While the 2.8 is overkill I saw your video and picked up a 12-24. Think it's worth keeping the GM? Was considering going to a setup like yours with the 12-24 and 14 GM instead. Other thought was to keep the 16-35mm and pickup the 14mm GM and use that If I need something wider for a shot.. Any input would be appreciated!

Thank you for this video. Helps me better understand the situation. As a person that invested a lot of time and money into camera drones and FPV drones, this would absolutely decimate my business. My business is a little over a year old and still in the process of growing. This will hurt me and then, in return, hurt my family. This ban is ridiculous.

Surely the real reason behind the DJI ban is because the DJI drones are just too good when it comes to the range and camera quality , they can be used for too many things if they are in the wrong hands, like terrorist threats or spying. I don't believe it's got anything to do with being Chinese it's all about taking the power away from the public due to the technology becoming way too good and a threat to country's like America... It's all about control, got nothing to do with being Chinese it's because DJI are at the top of drone tree and they can be used for illegal flying activities... I'm in the UK and I'm guessing we will follow the US with the ban.. UK police use big DJI drones at the moment... DJI has the monopoly on drones and! The governments don't like it in the hands of the public, they probably just wish we could only use toy drones so no threat as only range 100m or less...🤔😥

Everyone also needs to push this out to their clients to speak up and reach out to their legislators as well. Let them know how this will affect their business, especially if aerial photos/videos/data is important to them and is a big part of your business with them.

I have 2 Autel Enterprise drones and never have to login or connect to the internet to use them. Why can't DJI give us that option and be done with this? I always have to login with my Phantom 4 Pro v2. DJI, let us use your drones without logging into anything.

A few times you guys have said that there are certain critical infrastructure facilities where Chinese drones shouldn't be flown. Can you explain please? Critical infrastructure sites are fixed, they've been in the same place for a long time and nothing there changes very quickly. So with people on the ground, satellites and airplanes China or anybody else can see everything about that facility that they could get by looking at low resolution thumbnails from our flight history. I don't believe that our high resolution photos and videos are somehow being cent to China. The required bandwith makes that unrealistic. I could see the case where troop movements and military equipment movement could possibly be something that China might be interested in if we were in a conflict that affected them directly. Military airspace is already off limits and the chance of Chinese drone flyers scoping out rail lines and ports where military equipment is moved seems pretty unlikely. Again, even if somebody were photographing equipment being moved from an armory or facility like naval weapon station Earle, the drones can't follow that stuff very far. Having multiple drones along a rail line is only going show it going to a port. Once the ship is a mile offshore it's out of range of our drones. Maybe you're thinking that satellites will follow it across the ocean. Well, satellites could have followed it across the country as well... The same way that nobody has been able to spell out this alleged security risk in general, nobody's spelled out any kind of a realistic threat to critical infrastructure by flying drones around and over those sites. Russia has been hitting Ukraine's dams with cruise and ballistic missiles trying to blow them up. Do you really think whatever explosive a Phantom can carry will do any significant damage? Nuclear power plants are designed so that nothing terrible happens if they're struck with airliners. Once again what harm do you really think a mavic 3 will do? If somebody backed by China or Russia really intetended to conduct some kind of terrorist attack they could easily remote control a light aircraft and put a couple 1000 pounds of explosives in it. If somebody would give a good explanation of how my Phantom is a threat I'd stop using it voluntarily. Until then I will resist all these ridiculous restrictions to the best of my ability.
