I know I'm a couple years late but when you mention about using premium fuel, this is exactly what I was told by an independent BMW garage when my car was in for a service - I'd been running it on Tesco fuel and they noticed a receipt in my car and made a point of coming to me in the waiting room to tell me not to use supermarket fuel, even showing me part of packed-in engine they kept from someone's car that had been run on supermarket fuel. Switched to Shell V-power and haven't looked back.
I use Avon storm 3d on my CBR650 and never had a problem. The rear which is duel compound last over 6k miles, the front about half that being a softer compound. Thanks for the shout out.
