  • Reviewing a bike is surprisingly hard. You can't have a script, you sort of have to try and remember everything you were going to say before you leave. I'm 100% sure I didn't do that! That being said - Here is my review/ride out of the Lexmoto Isca.

    The thing with Lexmoto is the motors are very tight to start with, I've just bought the new 380 & God the engine was so tight it took what seemed Age's for it to loosen up, I've just had my first service done today & I was so happy to get that crappy running in oil out of the engine. Word if advice keep away from supermarket filling stations especially Tesco's & Asda they are full of water in the fuel, I put only shell, Mobil or jet in mine. Happy riding mate. 👍🏍️

      Judging by the number of really low mileage lexmotos there are it seems a lot of people can't wait to get through that stage and sort of give up. I've done just over 1200 miles now and I'd say it's just about there. How is the 380 now it's had its service?

      Yeah it seems a lot happier now, starts first time & it just runs great, it's only a summer toy as during the winter I keep it in my heated shed. But I would recommend anyone that wants an A2 licence to get the 380. 👍🏍️

    Will you do an update after the second service to pass on your thoughts please? Nice video and lovely scenary, it's obvious that you were having fun. Could you say anything about how good the brakes are, ease of finding neutral, visibility in the mirrors, vibrations through contact points, how good is the head light etc. please?

    Nice review, they are a great little bike thanks for popping over to my channel. great vlog though and keep at it i tend to stick to the 5 basics R.E.A.C.H. Reliability, Economy, Appeal, Comfort and Handling
    and then ramble on about everyday stuff and my bike

      Thank you! That's a useful one to remember. I'm looking at doing a DAS soon so I'll use that to grade the bikes I'm looking at too. Although I have got my heart set on a Kawasaki ninja 400 😊

    Thank you for your review! I’ve been looking at buying this bike for the last few weeks. I recently passed my cbt and felt I need a lot of practice before I carry on with my next lot of test! So I’m think of getting this to just play around with use it to commute a few miles to work and see how it goes!
    Do you still have this bike? And how is it running after a few miles on the meter?

      @TriggsRiffs  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello! Yes I still have the bike. It's done 2500 miles now and it's had a couple of 100+ mile runs. Rides wonderfully. Engine is smooth, gearbox is good and its great fun.
      I am looking forward to doing my big bike test now though!

    Thanks for the review. Am researching 125s now - saw a reviewer cruising comfortably along a dual carriageway at 68 on a Zontes ZT125. More expensive bike i know but would you say the Isca doesn't do that?

    • @TriggsRiffs
      @TriggsRiffs  Před rokem +1

      No it won't do that. It'll be buzzing off the limiter doing 62, it'll cruise comfortably at 55mph and I've done that for 2.5 hours without a hiccup.

    With regard to max speed, they probably have a lighter person on rollers, not outside where there’s wind against you. Nice to stumble across a vlogger near my area.

    Trying to find full exhaust system but can't find anything compatible on lextek.

      I think the OP1 fits. I'm not 100% sure so you'll have to do your own digging. I think there could be a downpipe issue? Possibly? Again not 100% sure.

    Hi Mate not sure if you'll see this, but how is the bike holding up a year later?

    • @TriggsRiffs
      @TriggsRiffs  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi, yeah its running well. I've kept it serviced and done a few 100 mile rides on it and it's good as gold.
      Rust is starting to creep in some areas, otherwise, yeah, still good!
