    They probably had an agreement between them to go on judge Judy to get this paid for. They probably just needed the help paying for it. 🥺

      Actually this was a real case filled in small claims court. They JJ production team sorts through small claims cases and reaches out to the litigants to see if they would be willing to have their case on the show, so it would be highly unlikely they made this up.

      For some people, the knowledge that the other person can leave keeps them on their best behavior.
      Judge Judy said on another episode about dating, “the courting period is as good as it gets”
      If you never get married the courting period never ends.

    She's lucky he drove it because the engine would have locked up on her .Certain Chrysler Sebring and Chysler Concords from the 1998 to 2002 model years could contain defective 2.7 liter V6 engines which are prone to catastrophic engine failure due to a build up of oil sludge.

    I'd have to say that this was the most orderly case I have seen in a long time. It was about one person being in the right, and the other person being in the wrong, and the fact that the defendant can stand there and take accountability for his mistakes and say that he still considers the plaintiff his friend speaks volumes. If only every case ended like that.

    As a healthcare professional kudos to her for assisting in taking care of her ex husband. You wouldn’t believe how many times my team has had to call adult protective services. All parties seemed like genuine good hearted people.

    The younger litigants, especially teenagers who appear(ed) before Judge Judy could learn from senior people like these! it was very refreshing to see a no-baloney case at last. 😎

    I was genuinely surprised that there was no drama in this case. After seeing so many idiots on this show, its refreshing to see two respectful & mature parties who can behave in court without all the nonsense.

    Honestly the defendant and plaintiff seem so cordial I wouldn’t be surprised if they both decided to come on JJ just so some or part of the cost is covered. Neither was really out for the other or trying to stick it to them.

    This case was so wholesome it was disappointing.
    Where the defendant claiming the plaintiff stole money out of his jacket?
    Where’s the plaintiff saying she has text messages to tell the defendant never to touch the car (but can’t find the texts now)?
    Where’s the witness inserting his opinion every 12 seconds until JJ threatens to throw the plaintiff’s case?
    I was deceived into watch this video hoping for typical bad human behavior. I want my money back and I’m countersuing for hurt feelings and disorientation.
    Judge Judy, you’re a hustla, madam!!!

    I must be just to old fashioned. I wouldn’t get married unless I was sure it was gonna last a lifetime. Hence why I’m 40 and have zero interest in getting married. I always said my mom has done it enough for the both of us. She is currently on number 5

      Most people that get married do think it’s going to last a lifetime. You don’t go into it with divorce on the mind. Also, being 40 and having zero interest in getting married is the exact opposite of old-fashioned. The majority of women were married in their early 20’s back in the day and it wasn’t always about love.

      It depends really. If the plaintiff let the defendant drive her car and knew advance that he was somehow dangerous on the road (Being drunk, driving without a driver's license, bad driving record, etc.), Judge Judy would of definitely dismissed her case. But if the plaintiff let the defendant drive her car, but was not aware that he would somehow be unfit to drive, then she still may possibly have a case.

      Case would've been dismissed. Just like the classic judge Judy toilet case you can't sue someone just because they used something with permission as intended and it died.
