  • The plaintiff claims the defendant illegally towed his vehicle, and he's suing for the value of the car. The defendant says he was called by the plaintiff's leasing office because the vehicle was parked in someone else's spot. Unfortunately, the car was sent to auction because the plaintiff didn't pay the fee to get it out, but that's not the defendant's fault.

I get why the vehicle was towed, but I do feel bad for the vehicle owner. If you are broke and don't have 500, you aren't going to have 600 the next day or 700 the day after.

The apartment should know who’s car it is by the permit. Courtesy, they could notify the tenant as easy as calling a tow.

  • @Robin-vr6lm

This case was sad. The plaintiff was in the wrong but he was so soft spoken and seemed like a genuinely good person.

  • @amyanndiamond13

He says only 🤦🏼‍♀️ "the first day is only $370, for the tow" only? ONLY?!?! That's an entire paycheck for some. This economy sucks 🐓!

  • @Tiramysuu

I'm surprised no one has ever tried to swing on Doug 😂

  • @Amy-ej2px

He said only $375 for the first day and 10-15 ppl a month who can't afford to get their car back. The guilt would kill me. SMH

  • @humanfairy

This is upsetting. He literally lives there. Shame on the complex. He literally parked in a parking spot

  • @looniebinn

I understand the tow but their fees should be criminal. Its ridiculous how much they charge even if it's "stored" for 1 day because they're closed. $370 for a tow is just not okay.

  • @cosmo6180

That’s sad to lose ur car bc u parked in the wrong spot. His apartment complex is viscous!!

  • @mariahmay4118

I know the plaintiff was in a wrong parking spot, but dang, I feel so bad for him 😔

$500 is a lot for 2/3 days towing, smh

  • @Mary_Lee2395

Lol the defendants know they don’t feel sorry. Tow companies love when situations like this happens because when people can’t afford to pay to get their car back, they get to keep the car and make extra cash by selling the vehicle or auctioning it for parts. It’s their job and they love it.

I don't know about a leasing office being open Saturday and Sunday

  • @Mocharocks9966

I do feel bad for the plaintiff

  • @anaflynn1075

These towing companies are total scammers. Yeah i get it but $65/day? R u kidding? What planet are they living on?

  • @liquidgoldjewels1846

We hate tow truck drivers until they get your keys out of a locked car 🤣

  • @user-op5jd3zc9r

Plaintiff looks like his face should be on the front of a hot sauce bottle playing the guitar lol

  • @lexilexx545

Wow they basically steal 10 to 15 cars a month smh

  • @HunkyMonkey619

The plaintiff really thought he had a case. 😂😂
