Truck final episode was a true cliffhanger! Lesson learned - listen to others offering recommendations. Step back and look at the big picture. Now you have a useful truck again along with the satisfaction of doing the work yourself. I just pasted my 30th year in building maintenance. I can relate to your topics and will continue watching. I like how you remind us to be nice to all they may be having a bad day. 🎉❤🇺🇸
You talked about South Main Auto ( I love Eric O) Raymond Ray's Repairs is equally entertaining and educational to watch! I'm glad your truck is running normally or as designed as they say at the dealership. Now get back to work tomorrow, fixing stuff other tenants break and have no respect for...
That is a really nice looking rig man, especially when I see underneath because here in Vermont they rust out bad. Nice chunky tires and it looks great in and out AND now it runs like a champ. Cool beans🫠
Glad you got it running! It's nearly impossible to diagnose a modern car over the internet, so that's why the comments are all over the place. Sometimes the answer is having a proper scan tool. The ability to scan every module in the car and getting live data is a huge time saver. They're just way better than the cheap OBD2 devices that can only read codes.
Ah part 2.. Legit same engine and issue & tried everything with no luck.. no code but misfire. I'll try replacing all 02 sensors, seems pricy for so many! anyway thank you so much for this hint.
Glade you got that squared away ,nice looking truck can see why you what to keep it going. Just don`t start spinning those tires just because you can .
Hey, we live and learn, right? And sometimes that learning process is a bitch. But in the end, it feels good when we solve the problem. Good job, Buddy!!
I’ve got a 95 ford and it had the same symptoms yours has , and it ended up being the engine coolant temp sensor, my was close to the thermostat on top of the engine, hopefully you fix it
@@Raysmaintenance I bought the truck, it runs good but the engine sounds like it's ticking a little and also before I come to a complete stop the idle revs up as if I'm giving it a little gas.. wondering if you know anything about that? Thanks

This is all educational to me, but still enjoy watching these videos. Most I’ve done is alternator and brakes. Thanks for the updates. Stay cool 😎

I wouldn’t replace the injectors unless you absolutely need to because the OE injectors are better than the aftermarket ones

As they say, whoever the engineer was that designed that had a service tech sleep with his wife. Same with architects.

Are these trucks any good? Thinking about buying a 02 Dakota with 118k Miles for $3,500 from my cousin for my side gig as a landscaper
Yeah, they're not bad trucks. I've had this one for 3 years. But I've also put a lot of money and working to this truck.

You ever run a can of seafoam thru the fuel tank? Seafoam also makes some good mass air flow cleaner.
