- We did it y'all - a part 2 and I think there's some improvement even if they aren't quite perfect yet:) I LOVE this color palette so much more and the sparkles just did it for me. @@thegraytergoodhi I’m subscribe so trust me you put a top coat on and then wait until it dries almost all the way and then you can use a brush or your finger to but on the eyeshadow and then do some designs and then a top coat and tada you’ve got yourself some beautiful nails ❤

@@thegraytergoodVERY fast. Mine take about five months to grow that long! But your nail beds are also close to the tip of your nail, while mine are not! So that’s a factor too.

Ok ok, so I think I might have mastered this on regular nail polish. The trick that I found is to add the eye shadow onto the nail polish itself and not on top of a top coat. My reasoning behind this is that the nail polish takes longer to dry giving the eyeshadow a bit of a tacky layer to stick too.
Another few tips I have is to almost scrap off some eyeshadow so you have a loose powder, apply it with a brush and then at the end gently rub it in with your finger to give it a smoother look.
I honestly love your content and nail designs, and hopefully with a few tips and some practice you can nail this look too, no pun intended 😂.
They came out so beautiful! If you ever want a much creamy end result, you can apply it with your finger, and rub it in.
This is so cute! I have a suggestion for a video, at the end of the year you should do a set of nails and each nail is inspired by a nail trend this year! Kinda like Spotify wrapped for nails

From my experience of doing eyeshadow nails, when you do your basecoat or color the eyeshadow will stick better of it doesn’t dry completely! Btw love your channel!

I've never heard of a no smudge top coat, but I know I need one!
Something that helped me with my aura nails is
1: get some foil
2 put any nail polish color for the base and for the aura
3: get a beauty blender and dip it in the nail polish
4 dab it on the nails
5 let it dry
6 put top coat
7 ✨✨

Maybe try a sponge and basically do a circle type gradient.
It works so much better if you use actual nail polish, the same way you would do an ombre but paint color B in a circle in the middle of color A on a makeup sponge

Tina yong has a tutorial on her channel on how to do Aura nails. If you use a sponge applicator, you will have better luck and easier distribution. The brush doesn't hold as much pigment.
Try a sticky base coat if you can
If you use a base coat as the top layer and then you put the eyeshadow on it it helps because I use this all the time for my false nails.

I wonder how this would work with a colored base coats. The ones that are to cover your visible nail line. They would have a rubbery sticky texture, cause base coat.

You can also do this : when doing aura nails I once did my normal base coat and make sure it’s a quick drying and thin and basically like water 💧and after that I did another coat of that but don’t let it dry. Make sure it’s 70-90% dry and that’s when you can use a brush or whatever and then you can just put your stickers and topcoat on and then you don’t have to use a matte base coat 😁 hope this helps

Thank you for doing videos using regular nail polish. For some reason, every time i do my nails with UV Gel, my hands swell, blister, and then over the next few days the skin peels away leaving pretty raw hands that crack open with every movement. Its like i got a chemical burn, or microwaved my hands! so im stuck with air dry polish (and i can never sit still long enough for ot to dry!!) Its torture when i really loved my UV polish.
That looks so pretty! How long did it take to grow your nails out that long? I’m a nail bitter, so my nails can never grow out long enough without my bitting them 😭 That was a great loop though! ❤️

Tysm! And yes, when you’re polishing and doing top coat make sure to wrap the free edge with the polish and topcoat, it helps keep chips away for longer!
