@@yuktee2869 Most important of all is buying a cheap good clear topcoat so that you can protect the nail art and even everything out. A good clear basecoat is useful too. Otherwise, toothpicks, floss tape, pencils, old toothbrushes, some household sponges, washi tape, shedded pet whiskers, and the like can be used for nail art until you get some nail art brushes. For instance the channel cutepolish has posted a ton of cute basic designs using things you likely already have at home.
I've even instead of using it for masking have cut out washi tape designs and put them on as sticker in the middle and coated everything in a top coat.
Also, many eye-shadows, blushes, and highlighters can be buffed onto a mostly but not completely dry polish. You can use sharpies on top of dry polish, but absolutely not on bare nails. I mean you technically can paint bare nails with sharpies but it'll permanently miscolor your nails until they grow out and the pens weren't made to be nail safe.

INM’s Out the Door Top coat is an amazing one. Used to work at a salon for little kids and we used it because it dries super fast but also a good firm coat. It really helps smooth things out. After I left I bought myself some and use it any time I’m using non gel polishes. It also just look cool cause it’s a circular bottle with blue liquid. (Topcoat doesn’t look blue on the nails obviously)

Guys another tip from me: LET UR NAIL POLIS DRY BEFORE ADDING THE TOP COAT. Otherwise it can ruin your'e whole nail art xx

Additional tip: If you’re super impatient like me, get a smudge free top coat. Maniology sells a great one.

I always mix a little bit of nail polish thinner into my polish pools when I’m doing nail art to help it stay fluid and flowy. If you find your polish starting to dry out as you’re working with it a bit of thinner can help it be more workable!

You can ALSO make your deigns with acrylic paint instead of polish!!! I have absolutely no luck with polish, it just globs on. But with paint, it's awesome. Just top coat it, and you're good. Might even last longer sometimes.
You can even mix custom colors 🤭 I've coated a whole nail with paint before

Just painting mine regularly helped me a lot cause I didn’t wanna mess up my nails. Also picking up another habit like a fidget toy helps stop biting. It’s a tough habit to break, sorry you are going through it. :(

What is the best nail polish that is completely chip-proof nails as I can never find ones - Can you do a short to try some and review them? Xx ❤
There are no chip proof polishes, all polish will chip eventually, just a matter of how long. A great base and top coat will go a long way in making any color coat chip less soon. Color coats don’t matter much because without a good top and base it will chip and dull unbelievably fast, the color coats alone aren’t made to last long. Also don’t get a 2 in 1 base and top coat, they are usually bad at being both a base and a top coat. lol The top coat I like the best right now is Holo Taco’s Glossy Taco and Holo Taco’s Long Lasting Base. The Seche Vite top coat is also very good.

but I wanted to ask that is nail coat important to put before applying nailpolish..and why is it important?
Base coat is important not only to prevent stains from colorful nail polish, but it gives the polish something to stick to easier. A good base coat will also help nail polish from chipping faster. Bases also help smooth the nail surface for cleaner polish application.
