The Hives anticipated new album Lex Hives is out on June 5, 2012. In celebration, the band is taking over Noisey. Every day this week, Noisey will post exclusive video footage from The Hives performance at Webster Hall Studio on April 26. The buzzed-about underplay at the 300-capacity venue was widely acclaimed, with MTV praising their "Superhuman capacity for consistent excellency," and SPIN anointing Howlin' Pelle Almqvist as "one of the greatest frontmen in rock."

I'm 50 years old, I have seen a lot of live shows, besides a bar gig in the 80's with Cheap Trick, The Hives has to be the best live shows I've seen.

I've listened to them for years and didn't know until recently they are Swedish. they sing with a semi English accent but talk with a Swedish accent.
So many of my heroes are either Swedish or Scandinavian, The Hives are of course god like in my mind...alongside Speedway's Per Jonsson & Tony Rickardsson, invincible Fredrik Ljungberg, culinary genius Marcus Samuelsson, The Knife & Viagra Boys just to name a few.
What a performance, they still & will constantly punch a hole.
& what wonderful people. Cool as ice.
Saw these last night for the first time. Im a casual fan at best but I agree 100% with all the comments about these guys being one of the best live bands. They absolutely killed it. Loud fast and unapologetically rock n roll. A proper band that knows how to rock.
I would defo see them again given the chance.
My favorite band, both live and in-studio, is Queens Of The Stone Age and their leader Josh Homme was asked with whom it's challenging to play on a bill... The Hives were about the only name he could come up with. Definitely a reason for that! 😁

Thanks for the info, watching my hives inflammation fade day after day until they completely vanished was such a relief, I went with what I pointed out and within the first 10 days or so the urticaria/angioedema was barely visible! I just go'ogled the latest by Shane Zormander and after 20 days my skin has never been healthier!
