- Join me for a fun relic hunt on an old 1880's home site in Wyoming. The railroad tracks once ran right beside this site and you can even still see the old train depot in the distance. What sorts of wild west treasure and relics will we find today?

I had one of those derringer buckles when I was a kid! If you pooched your stomach out, the derringer would swing out on a spring loaded hinge and fire a plastic bullet using a “greenie stickum cap”. What fun!
Too funny! Can you imagine stores selling those today?! You’ll shoot your eye out kid! Lol
Along with fishing, I can’t imagine a more relaxing hobby.
That old car and toy gun were awesome. I love Tootsie toys. I still have three from my childhood.

Great to see you back at it again ! Your bucket list token may take you to Nevada . We have an old house a mile away that is next to the former Lehigh Valley Railroad station that is long gone and now a walking trail exists . According to the stories the place was a well known house of ill repute and is now a single family home . If I find a token detecting there it''s yours......
I think you are right about Nevada. You know, it would just break my heart to have to go hunt where there are casinos.😂😜😉🍀

Those were interesting old finds, Gin. Good location, for sure. 'Think you said a steel Penney was found, also. That's collectible...WWII vintage, only made a couple years 1943-1944 e.g. ... War shortage of copper, and hard for mint to stamp out steel coins...they went through lots of dies...
That two-hole brass piece looks like a "keeper", used to hold wire (or antenna cable) in place on an interior building wall... not sure... Best guess. We used them, back in the day, but many were aluminum or steel. Brass was the "higher end" version for "cosmetics" reasons.... Good hunt, all... GUARANTEE you left a lot behind, for others to find..."soil" around that depot will likely be tough digging. All the best ! Keep going, always fun watching...

Looking good Gin! Great hunt and cool finds! The derringer is cool, but so is the tootsie car! I found one just like it several months ago that was orange! The pocket knives were cool too, and that one with the emblem worn off looks like an old Schrade. Great video and cool finds! Good luck on your next hunt!

nice work!! I found an old derringer cap gun in the park and after getting the dirt out it actually still works! its from the 60s ish... really awesome.

Looks like that lot may have been hunted before. Good to see you out and digging Gin.
It’s possible, but owner didn’t think so. There was so much debris in the soil from the house being removed, so it was challenging.

I have gone to several site like that , where the structure was removed and found nothing old . I was told that they scrap a layer of soil that may contain relics and haul it off to the landfill etc..
I think they often do, so it’s nice if you can get in there when they first start moving dirt. Thankfully this site wasn’t scraped yet.

Oh my goodness, been missing your videos. From one Tennesseean to another. If you would like to video a hunt in the East Tennessee area let me know. I had Preacher Digger come up from Texas and hunt with me a few months ago. I live in an area with tons of late1800 and early 1900 houses and Civil War history.
Awww, well thank you - I was on the road out west for about 3 weeks and it seems like hotels never have good enough internet to get a video done, so I’m way behind. 🥵. I’d love to take you up on the offer to come hunt. I really enjoy meeting other hunters. 🙂I’ll be on the road for the next 2-3 weeks working my way up the Eastern seaboard, then back in Tennessee around the 1st of the month.

I have been out to Pendleton Oregon and have been in an actual brothel from the old western days...... and also the underground city that was built by the Chinese back in the 1800s. I have never heard of a brothel token before lol.

I prefer to just stick to the fun of the hunt. There are soooo many guys who make videos like that and many of them with far more years of experience than me. I try to drop little hints in my videos sometimes, but thats about as far as I take it.🙂
I like your hunts, night ones are fun, just be safe.When you walk out on the drvy beach split it into 2 gymnasium, one on theb left and one on the right. Each gym court probably has one gold ring in each gym area, for a total of 2 GOLD rings.. Sa you walk toward the water, picture the same 2 gym courts, but since they're in the water, picture 2 GOLD rinks in each gym court, for a total of 4 gold rings.. Now you can see your odds are doubled, two GOLD rings on each side, one a few inches down and one on the serface.. your job is to find at least 1 of the 4, it aint easy but the're there.. Now if you hunt fast and shallow you may find 2 of the 4. winke
I wish it was that easy for me to find gold rings! My jewelry recovery is increasing as I get more and more familiar with the new machine, so maybe I’ll get there. Lol
That little toy derringer might be out of a Mattel belt buckle. I found the belt buckle missing the derringer
It is; it’s the one that really fired the matching bullet.🙂
The piece with the two holes, resembles a tensioner for a tent pole. Just a guess.

The next to the last thing looks like a line tensioner for a tent of tarp --- probably not as that design wasn't popular until 10-15 years ago in US.

That sounds like great location near a railroad station. I found a lot of brass luggage/cargo tags with my Deus II last summer. They are very collectable to train buffs. I love the toy car find. WOW! What program were you using on this hunt? I updated to V1.1 and love it. I like the FAST program for hunts like yours. The DEUS is amazing with how much you can customize everything.

How cool. It always amazes me how there’s a collector for everything. I’ve never found any of those brass tags and sure wouldn’t have known people collect them. I’ll remember that for when I find one.🙂 For this hunt I used a general program, then switched over to a custom deep relic program for a while that my friend Duane fixed up for me. I’ve tried fast a couple times when the site was really trashy. I’m not that technical so I haven’t done a bunch of customizing yet. The Deus has been amazing so far. It’s love - I named him Romeo. Lol
I should be back to my regular posting schedule on Fridays from here on out. I got behind while on the road due to lousy internet service.🤦🏼♀️

It’s grey ghost headphones configured for the deus. I didn’t realize how much better they are until I put Duane’s on for a minute when we were comparing a signal. Holy smoke - the difference was amazing!

You should tell us where in Wyoming you are. As I live in Wyoming I know what town from the dog tag, but at least tell us what general area please.
