- There is a lot of different builds you can go for with flash hulk. Lets look at 6 common ones that are being played or could be played in cEDH. And what makes them different.
What you want out of a combo package
1) good cards that can be used for other things but winning.
2) small amount of cards so you leave up space for other better cards. Combo package cards are usually useless.
3) easily to assemble. Flash hulk is kind of easy to assemble, you only need 2 mana and 2 specific cards.
4) low amount of colors so you can pick whatever commander for it. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
There should be 100 different things you can do with flash hulk. There even might be a flash hulk combo package that the competitive community haven't found out on jet.

I've been using Labman + Sacred Guide + Blood Pet + Happless researcher + 1white mana
Or, I get Spellseeker for demonic consultation while having labman or the new jace in play.
Less confusing just using Isocron Scepter+Dramatic Reversal. Get infinite mana and burn through my deck until i get Blind Obiediance, Torment of Hail Fire or Exsanguinate. I do throw in a lot of draw, tutor and control. My favorite 3 card combo is Unwinding Clock/Seedborn Muse + Isocron Scepter + Orim's Chant/Silence. I make a lot of friends playing that. lol

Yes, there’s a lot of ways to combo out with hulk, even without flash. On golgari builds, you can easily reanimate him and sac it to fetch for seer and phyrexian delver, reanimating him again, saccing to seer and fetching for ballista and mikaeus.

What a great video! Still relevant to this day! Some of the lines are more compact nowadays and have been optimized with new cards, but the core of it still remains!
Today I learned that Pattern of Rebirth is worth having in your deck if you have Carrion Feeder or Viscera Seer in your Hulk chain.
Having either in opening hand gives you your gameplan and hulk can skip a step by not having to tutor for the sac outlet like you would if you flashed or sneak attacked him into play.

The breakfast combo you fetch up with hulk is actually not bad to have in hand on it's own. One of the pieces plus a tutor leads into a turn 3 win assuming you have 3 mana available on turn three. Hard to protect but you win the turn you play it.
aa yes they cost 1-2 mana correct, that is a low cost. But other then being on a low cost. You can't do much with them.
With reveillark and friends there's actually a few a different wincons.
Some win on the spot some Will take another turn. Like gonti Lord of luxury is premium Imo, voice of resurgence is great because if you didn't assemble the combo through hulk or boon while also protecting your plays by punishing opponent. Also like fiend Hunter and tide hollow looped eats boards and hands. Keeping opponent at Bay

I agree with you on everything specially with academy rector.. it makes flash so useful rather than just waiting on hulk with flash.. i built my deck around jodah with these combo.. i have a 1st turn win with that as long as they dont counter it or if i have pact of negation in hand or force of will.. all you need in hand is 1 land. Lotus petal or mox diamond or chrome mox then flash then hulk or rector with atleast 1 tutor or enter the infinite.. also got a lot of tutor in my deck. Demonic tutor. Imperial seal. Grim tutor. Vampiric tutor. Creature that tutor for creatures or instant and sorcery to tutor for tutor creatures like razaketh or runescape demon. To grab my win cons. I also have multiple fast win con in that jodah deck so i dont just wait for that combo. Thanks to this video i learn a lot and create more idea how to make my deck combo a lot faster.
So i win by grabbing omniscience cast a tutor cor enter the infinite win with lab man.. or cast tidesprout and ugin bounce and damage. Or just cast everything also have rythym of the wild in the deck so all my crearures got haste. Usually win with labman but just incase lab man got exile i can win with those combos
I think you can cut labman. Ugin and other effects should do the job. I recommend arena rector if you play Ugin. 2 mana ugin is good.

I love flash combos. I tried some of them and ended up using flash-rector instead of flash-hulk because rector combo packages are quite smaller than hulk's.
That is the same conclusion a draw!
You can provide any sac engine onboard and sac Protean hulk to find Mikaeus+Walking Ballista and win the game though
It needs only GUB or GB color identity if you cut out the Flash (I usually play Protean Hulk from Natural Order instead of Flash.)
thats a lot slower, if you want to remove any white (aka the karmic guide) you can play phyrexian delver instead
Or Body Double for no life loss. It implies that you keep the blue color for Flash and control cards which is what you want to do.
Protean Hulk into Body Snatcher + Carrion Feeder -> Sack Body Snatcher to get Protean Hulk back (while his ETB is on the stack) -> Get Mikaeus and Walking Ballista = Win
OR Protean Hulk + Sac Outlet -> Mikaeus + Walking Ballista
this is the same decklist i have =D.. except my commander is jodah so i can cast omni or enter the infinite for 5c mana
I gotta say Vial Smasher would Not work with a curiosity effect for going off intimately in a turn because he only deals damage for your first spell cast each turn.
You are correct. I didn't say she would either. But drawing a card for the first spell you cast each turn. That is good.
can we still have a protean hulk deck without flash? entomb and reanimate or exhume??? maybe
yes we can. The card your looking for is necromancy. You can cast it in instant speed and the hulk will die from it. So all you need is to get the hulk into grave and then use necromancy to bring it back and get the trigger. Anoyther cards is the green 4 mana tutor. after that you need a sac outlet and you have the win. So it isen't deck people arent just experimenting on it.
cedh allows sideboards for wishes or it depend on the playgroup ?
Wish sideboards aren't allowed but if you're playing with friends you can do whatever.
Just don't base your strategy on it if you plan on playing with strangers at your LGS.

Yes I demonstrated in the video a simic version that creates infinit turns.
Today is the day I learned flash hulk is a thing that exists and god damn. Just WOW.
flash hulk is super potent. the newest version of breakfast goes this way though
flash + hulk = grand abolisher, hapless researcher, nomads en-kor, cephalid illusionist > mill library, narcomoeba triggers, ETBs, flashback dread return targeting Angel of Glory's Rise, returning laboratory maniac, sac hapless researcher = win. They can also do this at instant speed now with Quicken.
I thought Freddie Mercury was going to cue in the first second of this video.
Uh, when u tutor for Saffi u have cmc leftover, so u can also grab blood artist and just loop karmic guide and saffi since they are an infinite pair. Fiend hunter is just another saffi except better when not being used for the combo, especially if u have a sac outlet and u can stack the triggers to 3 mana exile target creature. U don't need the whole 6-7 card package at the beginning u showed, as that's just nowhere near optimal

Why do you think so?
Because its another way to Vannifar into 1 drops such as Quirion Ranger. In my Vannifar brew the idea is to work up to protean hulk and then get Ezuri (Claw) and Sage of hours and a bunch of 0 drop creatures to go infinite so it already works there but again it also just works to Vannifar into 1 drops. Dryad arbor also works
@@dread3006 ahhh yes! I forgot that is a possible end in the Vannifar chain. I have seen different combo runs with here. But I agree that is a good option. Just add in flash as well.

You have Muldrotha as your commander and wanna have a good combo for her? Go for Muldrotha stax and play phantasmal image + lions eye diamond + animate dead. That is a three card combo with Muldrotha as your commander that wins the game.
@@cedhtv Could also use Protean Hulk and Mike/Trike combo too. My deck isn't built like Stax
You can definitely do some hulk tricks. Instead of the karmic guide, you play phyrexian delver. But you end it with walking ballista for zero and mikaeus for 6. You could even use body double.
@@cedhtv Yeah I've heard that. Also I have Flash if that makes any difference to you. Anything cheaper then Body Double? Maybe Phantasmal Image as that costs 2.
You don't need the phantasmal image and can't use it. You need the body double to give you a second hulk trigger. But you have alternatives. You could use body snatcher or phyrexian delver. If you use phyrexian delver you could grab a 2 cost sac outlet.
Viscera seer + phyrexian delver / karmic guide
Kill hulk again
Metallic Mimic + Murderous Redcap.
Sac recap over and over for game.
Or mikaeus and ballista, sac ballista over and over for game after removing it's counters for the damage.
You will thank me later trust me.
1 Cast flash with just a hulk in hand. Hulk dies, and you search for Viscera Seer and Karmic Guide.
Karmic Guide returns Hulk to play.
2 Viscera Seer kills it again. Search for Fiend Hunter and Spellseeker.
3 Fiend Hunter exiles Karmic Guide, and Spellseeker searches for Demonic Tutor.
4 Viscera Seer kills Fiend Hunter, which returns Karmic Guide to play, which returns Hulk to play.
5 Sacrifice Hulk to get Academy Rector and Grand Abolisher
Sacrifice Academy Rector to get Omniscience.
6 Now cast the Demonic Tutor to search for Eternal Witness. Use Eternal Witness to get Demonic Tutor back. Use Demonic Tutor to search for Mystic Confluence.
7 Use Mystic Confluence to Return Eternal Witness and Karmic Guide to your hand and draw a card. Play Eternal Witness to get Demonic Tutor (or something you wish to repeatedly cast) back. Sacrifice Eternal Witness to Viscera Seer. Play Karmic Guide to return Eternal Witness to play to get Mystic Confluence back.
Step 7 is repeatable. Infinite search and draw which is redundant but whatever.
8 Cast Assassin's Trophy over and over to blow everything up.
9 Winds of Rebuke over and over to mill everyone out
10 Sign in Blood everyone to finish them

I was thinking of doing that. But I didn't want to include every single combo variant that exist.
