Actually, what that makes me wonder, is just HOW abusive Sonic is, for Tails to prefer Mario for a partner instead of Sonic. Think about it now. Sonic's treatment of Tails must be truly horrifying.
I always hated the telltale ending, if he saved Luigi, then peach would have more room to back up and then they could all survive, if he saved Peach, then Luigi would be able to run away with them to the door
