    Certain foods will drain your energy, exhaust your body, and make you feel lazy. But there are also foods that skyrocket your energy levels, lower inflammation, and boost your performance both physically and mentally. The way that food will impact your energy levels is highly based on how easy the food is to digest, how quickly it raises and drops your blood sugar, and what effect the food has on your body composition and health over time. For example, soda can lead to a spike in insulin and blood sugar, providing a temporary burst of energy, but this is quickly followed by a crash in blood sugar levels, leaving you feeling fatigued and drained. On the other hand, the 16 foods that I'm about to go over right now will help you focus more, get more done, and feel so much better overall that you can literally feel like a completely different person.
    And for the first food, we have bananas which are an excellent source of complex carbohydrates. Unlike the sugary carbs that you'll find in soda, complex carbs provide a steady and long-lasting supply of energy. These complex carbs are broken down into glucose, the primary fuel for our bodies and brains. But that's not all, Vitamin B6, which is found abundantly in bananas, plays a crucial role in converting food into energy. It's involved in many metabolic processes, including the breakdown of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. On top of that, bananas are rich in potassium, which is an essential mineral that helps maintain proper nerve function and muscle contractions, including the heart muscle. Potassium also plays a role in balancing fluid levels in the body, contributing to overall hydration and energy levels.
    Another excellent food that's actually a beverage is bone broth, which can be added to flavor your meals or you can just put it in a cup and drink it while its warm. Bone broth's rich content of gelatin and amino acids, such as glutamine, can help repair and strengthen the gut lining, potentially addressing issues like leaky gut syndrome. A healed gut allows for better nutrient absorption and reduces the entry of toxins into the bloodstream. These toxins alone can wreak havoc on your energy levels but improving your gut health with bone broth can lead to reduced inflammation and improved digestion. With a healthier gut, the body can efficiently absorb essential nutrients, promoting significantly better overall energy levels. As an added benefit collagen, the primary protein in bone broth, is beneficial for joint health and may help reduce joint pain and inflammation, allowing for improved joint mobility.
    Next, we have fatty fish, such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines, which are all very effective at increasing and maintaining high energy levels due to their high content of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids play a crucial role in supporting brain health, and a well-functioning brain is essential for maintaining focus, alertness, and overall mental clarity, all of which contribute to sustained energy throughout the day. These healthy fats also help reduce inflammation in the body, promoting better blood flow and improving cardiovascular health. Improved circulation means that essential nutrients and oxygen are efficiently transported to cells and tissues, optimizing energy production.
    Another energy-boosting seafood is Oysters which are an excellent source of iron, zinc, and vitamin B12. These are all essential for producing energy, transporting oxygen, and red blood cell production. Iron is actually crucial for maintaining energy levels because it helps carry oxygen to cells and tissues, meanwhile, zinc supports immune function and aids in the breakdown of carbohydrates for energy. Zinc is also a nutrient that many athletes are deficient in because it's lost through sweat and being deficient in zinc can definitely take a toll on your energy levels.
    Next we have beets which boost energy in an entirely different way. Beats are full of nitrates, which are converted to nitric oxide in the body. Nitric oxide plays a key role in vasodilation. Meaning nitric oxide helps widen blood vessels to improve blood flow and oxygen delivery to muscles and organs. This enhanced blood flow can lead to increased endurance, improved energy, and reduced fatigue during physical activity which is why it's common for pre-workout supplements to boost nitric oxide.
    Another high-protein food with many energy-boosting compounds is eggs. Not only are they an excellent source of high-quality protein with all 9 essential amino acids needed for various bodily functions, including muscle repair and growth but egg...

    One thing I had hoped you would have mentioned with the water is Celtic, Himalayan, or Redmond Real salt. These salts have many minerals unlike normal table salt. The minerals help your body to absorb the water into the cells instead of just peeing it out. This also prevents dehydration and headaches.

    • @cincin4515
      @cincin4515 Před 9 měsíci

      Regular table salt is full of sea minerals including iodine which is essential for thyroid function.
      Himalayan pink salt is just trendy.

    • @2A-Supporter
      @2A-Supporter Před 9 měsíci +2

      @@cincin4515 actually no regular sea salt and other salt does not have many minerals because of the way they harvest it. The sodium and chlorine elements end up on top when they boil the water to get the salt. After the water is gone they only scrape the top off because they are looser. Both of these materials are very harsh on the body (being that chlorine is poisonous and when sodium touches water it makes hydrogen gas.) But in the heathy salts I mentioned they have many more minerals including sodium and chlorine but the other minerals make the harsh ones safer. If anyone has any questions please let me know I am happy to help 🙂

I pay $55 AU for 4 cartridges, each cartridge lasting 2.5 months. Im single so its only me. I fill my kettle, 2 large glass jugs and my personal water bottle each day.
      It has saved me an absolute fortune on single use plastic bottles and saves me struggling to drag them upstairs to my flat.
