The government can mandate seatbelts, electronic stability control (or ESC), etc but they are unable to make a pin lock a standard feature.
Phone manufacturer implemented this over a decade ago and it practically stopped phone theft …
Why, oh, why nobody is requesting this to be standard feature on every car (that is - every car worth stealing…)
It wouldn't be to hard to make one yourself.
