    Dang, can we please wide spread these episodes to where even the youngest generation knows/watched the Twilight Zone? THIS show is GOLD ; despite the technology being dated, there’s so many valuable messages shown that are timeless. I’d go as far as it’s something we need.

    I'll always think of Claude Akins from Battle for the Planet of the Apes first and foremost. But this is a darn good role as well. And a great episode with one of the best episode titles in the series' history.

I'll try to keep the 'Battle for the Planet of the Apes' nod in mind though for when I get around to 'The Little People' review. Great job Anthony!! Love the break down of this and the story is definitely relevant. We as humans are so easily worked into frenzy, over so many issues, some well deserved but others for no reason, and the Aliens could represent those from the top ( media, politicians) that manipulate the situation and watch from afar from their high castles, or hill tops. We fall for this stuff time after time. Great video bro 💯😎✌️

    Whenever I think of The Twilight Zone this is always one of the first episodes that comes to mind. We read a version of it in my Middle School Language Arts class and since I owned a copy of the series box set at the time we got to watch the episode in class as well. The part where looking at the night sky is scrutanized as suspicious behavior always remind me of the story Ray Bradbury always tells about the origin of 'Farenheit 451'. Bradbury was stopped, questioned, and treated suspiciously by a police officer because he was out walking enjoying the night without any specific destination. Great video as always.

    I don't like the ending. I think it the episode would have been way more powerful if the conflict had remained fully human with the perceived threat being just that: perceived. It's one of the few instances where the Twilight Zone formula which demands a twist ending has really hurt an episode. Other than that it's a classic that deserves its status as one of the most beloved Twilight Zone episodes.

    • @FeverDreamlandTheater
      @FeverDreamlandTheater  Před 2 lety +3

      Hey Julia! I 100% hear you on that, I was thinking the same thing tbh, does the aliens actually invading undermine the message a bit? I could certainly see that being the case. I think many people have the same view. There's another similar episode where things go more the route you are suggesting which I hesitate to spoil here -- but you may know which episode I mean. The way I look at it, the aliens being real vs them being imaginary doesn't change the fact that everyone resorted to horrific behavior. The dangers of reacting to threats (real or imagined) by scapegoating and becoming violent seems to be at the heart of this one. Thanks for watching & commenting Julia! Have a good week ahead & be well! 😁
