If we are going to destroy the planet at least make it with style. They are putting massive engines in city run around, school haulers. Our old 1.3 litre car never felt unsafe to drive, had no problems going up to speed. Sure it wasn't fast but 80% of car buyers don't care about HP.

Global warming looks like a joke when you have hot parts of the world, being cool some years. So you they needed to say Climate Change to fit their narrative. The TRX has 702hp. When the engine can produce 717hp. Dodge added a more restrictive/filtered air intake system to protect the engine from dust/water and other off-road conditions.
As mentioned in the video, most American people who will be buying this truck will never off-road it so I think Dodge should offer the full 717hp variant as well for a "street-use TRX"

Electric may be the future, but the long term effects will take place when developing batteries for vehicles. All the resources required to produce millions of cars that are going to be electric are, in the end, polluting more than saving the planet.

First problem is the hemi has never been the most reliable thing. For 2 the trans is not the best. Adding that to heavy cars and heavy trucks is not the answer. Why do you think you see people LS or coyote swapping cars but not hellcat swapping them? Dodge is the only one hellcat swapping everything. To make more power than factory you are looking at a total engine rebuild. All it would’ve taken is a different tune to get more power out of the TRX. But they won’t do it because they need it to be a little more reliable. Now that it has an extra couple 1000lbs to haul around. They can’t push the power. People tune the ecoboost and for $900 you have a raptor that stomps the TRX. They say 0-60 in 3.8 but the best people have seen so far is 4.6secs the raptor does that and faster with a tune. It’s the weight. Same reason you see mustang gts with just suspension and tire beating hellcats at the dragstrip. Power isn’t everything if it weighs a lot. Plus 20k in upgrades you can make 1100+ hp out of a stock bottom end coyote or built Ls and run 7&8s in the 1/4.. the hellscats redeyes and demons. They are limited by there weight and the fact you can only push so much power out of that engine. I wish it was better I spend all day around them and they all end the same way. Holes in the block at 70-120k miles and being gentle on them and left stock. That’s why after all these years they have been out you don’t see much aftermarket support. Whipple is getting there and finally you have mod2fame trying to turbo a hellcat engine. Which as much as they break is daring but I give him a A for effort.

Agree, many times you need to modify trucks or suv for off roading, which means upgrading wheels, suspensions, etc. What Ram did is just basically from the factory already upgrading their Ram truck

@Zack Smith My 2015 ram 1500 hasn't had any problems at all besides basic maintenance like oil changes, But I had a 1996 Jeep Cherokee country that the only thing I ever had to fix was an alternator and the heater core and I had that thing for 15 years🤣
