Thank you brother. Im glad i watched this before I bought a header for my Camaro. May need a welder to reset the flat portion back an inch from the tubes. Ive seen people hammer in the tubes as well, but that is never good. Im sure you are right about manual steering and manual Transmission

I’m having trouble with my 69
396 motor I already had headers , remove them to get a gear box and power steering installed. And it won’t fit ! What was your solution?
Sorry to say that I gave up and went back to the stock manifolds. I have been reading that you need to keep an eye out for headers that are built to work around the power gear box.

I had the same issue with a 67 Im building for a customer.. Left header no fit -- POWER STEERING in the way! Had to take a BIG HAMMER and flatten the two middle tubes and then heat the 3rd tube with cutting torch and bend to fit! What a mess.... I was told the headers I purchased where for POWER STEERING APPLICATIONS! WRONG!!!!! LIARS!!!! and when I got the headers on the box in BIG LETTERS --- MADE IN CHINA! Purchased them from Eklers Industries ... Made for the ZZ6 With Power Steering for 67 thru 69 Camaro .... --- They got my money and I got the BIG HAMMER! Bastards... Thank God I have a hydrolic Clutch system or It would be a TOTAL FAIL for me as well... You should make a follow up video on how you fixed the problem!
Sorry to hear you found the same problem with clearances. I finally gave up and went back to the original stock manifolds.
