Hello and welcome to my channel. I'm a long time DIY guy and car nut. I'm a firm believer in the idea that if I need something done I'll try to do it myself before I hire it done. Some of this mindset comes from wanting to saving money, some from pride in doing it myself and some is just the lack of trust in someone not doing it correctly and over charging. I HATE people trying to take advantage of others. Knowledge is valuable.
With my channel I hope to share my many years of knowledge in building and repairing cars, trucks, boats, and small engines of all types. If you are wanting to learn to do a project yourself, learn how to make sure your not ripped off, or maybe you just enjoy watching others do interesting projects. I hope my videos will give my viewers a better understanding of what it takes to do many projects correctly, economically and safely.

I purchased a 1966 289 Ford small block engine that was built for a Mustang. The seller changed his mind and sold it with only 1500 miles on a fresh, high end, rebuild. He had the timing set wrong and he used really long spark plug wires. I will set the #1 piston position for the timing and cut each spark plug wire to fit nice and tidy.

so what kind of tree? that's important, dummy.
I have two questions. Where are you hook in the clean City water to fill up your clean tank do you worry about that line I know I know you shouldn't be worried about the actual tank itself because you drained the tank but the lines going into that tank. My other question I have a brand new electric gas tankless water heater and it seems to not cycle the water through the hot water tank unless I turn the tap on pretty high and there is electricity and propane turned on. It's almost like it skips the hot water tank. Do you think I should turn on the power and propane? I know this stuff smells like vodka is there any chance it's flammable? I just want to be sure I can get all of the water out of that tank.
Lol"I blame camping world"I had to keep watching it that point! That's One hell of a shady company! I bought a travel trailer from them this spring.
Thank you for sharing , your project definitely something to consider. Looks like something that's definately a task most should be able to do.
Where is your power converter to charge the batteries? Mine is under the shower in the basement. You should be able to move your converter next to your batteries.
Mine is under the stairs. I looked at moving it but it is not worth all the work to run more wires. It is working great just were it is.
Thank you for the fix. It took longer to watch the video, than to do the repair.
I have watched your videos a few times now and will be doing my air bags soon. How well have they held up for you?
I am really happy with them. I keep them at about 30 psi all the time. Loaded, towing, empty, they keep the truck level and the ride is good even when the bed is empty.
Unfortunately I couldn’t get your way to work. I have + 35% springs and couldn’t get the bags to slide in like you did. I just removed the springs. But i did steal your license plate hole idea.
I have a 1970 convertible challenger watching these to see if it is a job i can do Do you have a link to all parts Thanks
Hello Ride Rescue, I had the same dilemma trying to decide if my Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7 Hemi with 4 side air suspension will tow Grand Design Reflection 100 Series Half Ton Towable model 22RK. The specs on my truck is Transmission A8 8HP70; Axle Ratio 3.92; GVWR 6900; Payload 1690; Base weight numbers are Total: 5211.88; which comprise of 2979.3 for the front and 2232.52 for the rear. GAWR for front 3,700 and back 3,900. GCWR is 15,950 with a max trailer weight of 10,300. Oh, one other thing my truck has a BDS 4" lift system with 35 tires. Not sure if this will affect my choice in a 5th Wheel or not. I have towed a 6x12 Uhaul trailer with weighing in at 8,300 pounds at the weighing station. The hitch I was planning to use is an Anderson Hitch to fit over a B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit . I was advised by the RV dealership that many of their customer went this route as it's cost efficient and easy to use, oh I have electronic trailer break control toll-haul. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
I wanted the under-bed gooseneck mount but as a DIY guy I found that the bed would need to be removed to do the job. The cost is also much higher for the under-bed set up. I am very pleased with my in bed rail mount and my truck pulls the 5th wheel great. I hit the scales at numbers that fit my truck too.
@@riderescue Thank you, my installer will install mine like in this video. czcams.com/video/eOSZ-ic10iI/video.htmlsi=SOWa304-8im7vOEv
Great Video! Did you have to change out your converter, to a Lithium carpetable converter or are you just using the solar panel to top off the battery charge?
I did not change my converter. Since I have a solar panel my batteries have been charging to 100% when on shore power or while in storage.
I replaced my diverted valve since it was very difficult to turn and would not even do a 1/4 turn. Replaced it and now it turns like butter. Replace the valve. Pricey but worth it.
Mine is sticking again so I will need to replace that valve soon.
This series deserves way more views
Ive been burning out stumps for over 20 years on my hobby farm in the Missouri Ozarks. I have done pretty much the same thing you did except for a few things. First, i bore holes at 4-6 points on the radius of the stump with a long bit extender for a forstner or auger bit at least 3/4 - 1” diameter. I also start about 6-9” above ground level with these holes and aim at a common point well below ground level and aimed toward a common center point. I fill the holes up with used motor or hydraulic oil and give it several hours to soak in. Then its easy and safe to torch it off. Ill come back 8-12 hours later with a good strong leaf blower and blow off the burned charred wood and heat things up. Ill return and do the leaf blower number the next morning and by the end of day 2 there’s nothing but a hole in the ground. Sometimes if the stump is very large (over 3’) it might take a third day of burning but most stumps 2’ or smaller are history after one day. That chimney effect works very well. Thanks for your good video.
I have lots of stumps too. Thanks for the comments and tips, I'll try them out.
Another video showed the screws that hold the pump to the bottom of the tub were loose; take out the bottom rack, the filter and the cover plate, then tighten the screws; this can be done without pulling the dishwasher out; the sensor will have to be dried out before the code will clear though, and that requires pulling the unit out and turning it on it's side; so for you product engineers out there you can use this as a guide: instead of making something that doesn't leak, just add a leak sensor that shuts the product down! I've never seen a dishwasher that needed a catch pan & leak sensor, the designers must have known that it was going to leak and this was their solution, Amazing!!!
They make a special bit for removing spot welds goes way quicker and easier to weld it back on.
I have used those spot weld bits. They do work great on standard steel but the hardened steel on the cab dulls those bits fast. I used up 4 of those and they are too expensive.
thanks for the adjustment advice. I've had 2 ball failures(weld actually broke - not screws)in the last two years. I always disconnect the bar when backing up but, like you, followed manufacturer instructions on adjusting the sway. I will try the bottom nut adjustment on my next one :)... I'll also check out the load leveling video as getting a straight answer to proper adjustment has been difficult.
Thanks a bunch for the videos. Very helpful. I cannot for the life of me get my gas tank back into the hole. The seam/lip where the two halves of the tank meet is preventing me from getting it back in. Any tricks?
Mine was hard to get in as well. I kept shifting it around and pulling on the gas lines to make sure they were not in the way and suddenly it dropped in. Keep trying, it will drop in.
thank you for the tutorial
You're welcome 😊
You helped me make a decision for my 2021 RAM 1500. I’m going to put in a 5th wheel similar to you.
I have pulled my trailer for many trips since installed and I am very happy with this hitch.
Ohh also I found the VERY BEST waterspot remover and it’s inexpensive. It’s called Technician’s Choice 3 in 1 surface clarifier. Mix it 2:1 and wash your substrate with it. Can’t believe how well it works at removing all mineral deposits
I have heard of this product. Thank you for the tips. Much appreciated.
@@riderescue your welcome. They also make the IMO best ceramic spray sealant on the market as well. It’s called Technician’s Choice Ceramic Detail Spray. It’s yellow. It’s very sun friendly with no streaking and just works and holds up like a dream.
Turtle Wax has really stepped up their quality on their products. Checkout their new professional line. It’s called Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions. I’m a full time detailer and I’d put their products up against any other company now. Completely reinvented themselves. You did a great job. I’d recommend washing your pad more often. When there is that much oxidation it really fills up your pad quickly and diminishes the cutting ability, but you do t need any advice. Great work & love your channel
Thanks for the info on the new Turtle Wax products. I'll try them out.
That idea of turning your staple in the middle of the liner is awesome, I'll have to remember it,
It's those simple little tips that can help out. Glad to hear you noticed.
You can add us to the folks that followed the manual and broke our tankless heater. We didn't find out until 2 months after the warranty expired. Now I'm spending our vacation time bypassing the mixing bowl (poorly designed) so that we can have water to the RV. Not a happy camper at the moment.
Sorry to hear you followed that terrible manual. It's a shame that the company does not step up and repair these.
I would like to see the construction of that popup bathroom.... would work nice on my houseboat...What kind of trailer is it???
great video! this looks to be my exact issue with my 1967 Buick Lesabre. Thank you so much!
Usually hard to get them to draw fuel from the tanks!
Air gap 10-12 thousands or a slick business card will usually work!
At least 6 screws to remove to get out!
Have to do a complete teardown to get to the carb!
Disappointed you didn’t show inside of car unhooking things for brake booster. And showing how to hook things back together
Great video. I am buying a 24 grand design fifth wheel toy hauler. It has a 330 watt solar panel and the inverter prep. I want an inverter... I wish it came with the extra solar panel and 2000 watt inverter. You are so right about not finding clear answers online. I dont understand solar power...😅
Good vidéo ,, i hâve thé samedi problem will try that 👍🏼
Great video. Thank you. I've watched a bunch on inverter how-to videos that deal with an inverter loop, but yours is the only one so far that explains how it works back at the breaker panel. Very nice job - easy to understand.
I'm looking at this hitch for my race car/truck trailer. But I'm needing a 2" ball. How easy is it to swap the ball size?
Love that car!!!
Me too!
Likely the ice maker defrost drain line is clogged and there is no place for the defrosted water to go.
After fixing this fridge 4 times it always goes back to the filler tube freezes up and or the ice gets frost build up that clogs the dump area.
Must check the fuel line. It may be clogged in the filter in the tank or in the tiny metal net filter inside the carb.
Great video. I have some similar issues and have not been able to find the solutin. This gives me another avenue to explore. Thanks.
The system is not easy but worth learning. Good luck.
Thank you I'm going to try mine any other help you can offer would be greatly appreciated thank you
Hi there! Did you find a manual to help with replacing? Thanks
Nope. I just started taking it apart and took a lot of photos to reference to help get it back together.
I forgot I’d like to thank you very much for this video
I wish I had a guy in Milwaukee or even you can do my car. I got a four-door convertible Cadillac and I need some service to my top.
the oxidation can also be removed with acetone
Hi there 2 questions, I have the reinforcement bar as well as the 2 main brackets (with that mountain like bump) and the 2 vertical brackets that go on the bumper, my body shop guy installed the bumper but the sides of the bumper feel wobbly, is there another bracket im missing?
