Nice job, good info, thank you.
When I converted mine, I used the Z/28 mounting brackets in case I put a stroker motor in my car. Strokers require an 8 inch balancer, which is the same size the 302's used, so the brackets will clear the bigger balancer. I didn't use the deeper groove pulleys though and really don't need them anyway. I used pulleys from a '68 327 Impala. Everything worked out, and I will never have a car without power steering again. It was an upgrade I highly recommend.
Good info Kenny! I'm surprised at how easy it is to drive it now.
Good video.
Great tips. Very informative. 👍
Thanks D-man!
Exelente video gracias
Mucho Gracias!
The pitman arm went right in. Is it indexed
Great question Johnny! Yes, it is indexed so it can only go on one way.
Hey, any tips on converting a 1969 camaro big block with headers to power steering?? Have you ever done one?
Hey, I haven't done your specific configuration but have heard that Detroit Speed Part # 090215DS and possibly Speed Tech boxes would work on F bodies.
@@FlatheadTerry right on....ya I am just worried about header clearance with the steering box.. my exhaust is all welded and I would prefer not to mess with it. Hate to buy a kit and it not fit. Anyway, thanks for the reply.. good video.
Is this a whole compete kit or you buy it all separately
I bought everything individually because I already had an original P/S pump with the pulley attached. It took me awhile to figure out what mounting brackets I needed for the P/S Pump. I would recommend getting a kit to save time getting all the correct brackets and fittings.
