  • Episode 2 of 'On the Side', where I talk about non-fantasy books.
This episode is an introduction to two of the books by Anita Moorjani. In her first book, 'Dying to be me', she relates about her near-death-experience and her miraculous recovery from terminal cancer.
Her second book 'What if this is Heaven?' is about her re-integration process into life, basically.
Her story makes one think about life and the 'other realm' after it, if there is such a thing of course.

Wauw zo mooi. klinkt een beetje als mijn ervaring na het lezen van het boek Een ongewoon gesprek met god door Neale Donald Walsh.
Ik ga deze zeker ook lezen. Dank voor de inspiratie

Klopt. Dying to be me zit helemaal in dezelfde hoek van NDW. In een van mijn vroege video's heb ik het over de boeken van Walsch, en sommige volgers zijn hem nu ook gaan lezen. Leuk hè?!

Dying To Be Me is one of the first books from your shelf tour that I read after discovering your channel last year. Lots of food for thought. I need to get the 2nd one!
I've not gotten much further in my Duncton Wood journey because of a handbell festival last weekend. 13 handbell choirs (122 people) from all around central Alabama all together playing the same music. It's a lot of work - fun but very tiring - lol. Do you have hobbies other than reading?
    Thank you for the review!

Thank you. Her second book is obviously less impressive, but still gives more food for thought. In a few days my 'Listening Experience' of Duncton Wood will go live. That must sound awesome, 122 people playing handbells. Lots of hobbies and interests over here, like hiking, listening to (& playing) music, writing, hanging out with very good friends, visiting ancient stone circles to just name a few that come to mind.

@DutchGreyBeard The stone circles sound fascinating! Stonehenge is the only one I am familiar with. Do you have them in the Netherlands or do you have to travel to see them?

@@bjminton2698They are! There are none in The Netherlands. I’ve visited many in Scotland, England and even one in Portugal. My favorite is Callanish on Lewis/Harris, Scotland.
