Did anyone else catch Don’s “WHAT?!?!”, I thought he was going to have a heart attack 😂
Peak Robbo was the best of the three before he kept getting injured, England-level talent. Burley had the most consistent career, but he was the least talented for sure. Don was the most technical of the three and perhaps the most talented but a mental case. He was inconsistent on the pitch and in the tabloids a lot.
Facts
Henderson is less talented than Coutinho but I know which player most Liverpool fans want in their team. I’d rather a consistent, hard working player, in midfield especially, with decent/good technical skills.
@@RedViper9 They play different positions, Coutinho would be replacing Salah or Mane. Even when he was at his best Coutinho would've been trash at Henderson's role of high work-rate, pressing and balling winning and then get the ball to the wing players who will create and score goals. Robbo, Don & Craig at least all played as old school two-way midfielders.
@@RedViper9 Robbo is a bit before my time, but I’m enough of a dinosaur to remember the other two.
Craig was what people today might call a system player. He was an attack minded hard runner, but not a real defensive midfielder. More of a box to box tough guy who wasn’t very good in possession. The game was different of course. But he wouldn’t have gotten into a lot of teams at the time, he fit Chelsea well.
Don could truly play all three midfield spots but was a mercurial sort and underachieved a lot in his career.

I think John Moncur had to be subbed off like 15-20 mins after coming on in Mark Noble's Testimonial because he was putting some pretty hard tackles on our first team players. It was nearly 6 years ago so I might be misremembering.

Atletico and United are both so bad it’s hard to predict. I’d go with United cause they have more matchwinners, could see Ronaldo Pogba Bruno Varane etc having individual good games to get United through even if they play bad but Atletico will probably have to play well as a team to advance and currently they’re conceding goals for fun and all their forwards are out of form apart from Correa. But it’s not like either of those sides will trouble any of the other teams, Bayern City Liverpool Real Madrid and maybe even PSG and Ajax would slap them in the quarters
