lol
I would love to see a lego SS Venture from the lost world with a T. rex, baby Rex, a dock worker, a crew member, Ian Malcolm, Sarah Harding, and Peter Ludlow
Someone needs to make this a lego ideas set
I’d buy that in a heart beat.
That's a thought I've had for the past year or two as well, and how about a InGen Camp with Stegosaurus + Stegosaurus Calf
Y’know I have a feelin this one is overpriced, might just be me 🤔. Btw, love the videos Jang
same
Maybe?
@@cjasebruh6080 mabey what ? that its over priced

This set reminds me of 90s era Lego, and not really in the nostalgic way. Lots of large specialised pieces with a small amount of actual built up detail
You mean 20s?
Very beautiful boat, the colors and design reminds a little of Arcadia in JW Fallen Kingdom. This dino "cage" system is a good idea.
The head of the baryonyx is still beautifully made, the body is fine, there are just the oversized arms and the sickle claw at the feet which are disturbing. The colors of the first baryonyx are much more beautiful, too bad they did not take on "chaos", it is much closer to the original color level, it would have been an opportunity to improve the rendering of the first.
Always good to have an additional ACU.
I wish this was the yacht. Would’ve been cooler and accurate
Ikr.This feels more like a jurassic world 2 set than a camp cretaceous set.
Would've been better if this came with a T-rex, baby, Ian, Sarah, and a small red car build instead of the small boat as a Lost World set.
But god forbid lego make Jurassic World sets be based on Jurassic World. Let's make the same boring black and blue vehicles.
@@Gzilla313 that’s another good idea
I don’t hate it, I actually like how the boat looks (and I will have to get it for Yaz so I can have all the campers) but I think the Carnotaurus Chase and Fossil Exhibition together are better for $30. I wish the bottom area had something like a table or beds
Hi Jang, already bought those set, I agree with you about the price. The colour of Dino I prefer the previous set 75935. Thank you for reviews
I agree i still like the boat but i prefer the other one
I've said this before RE larger Lego Star Wars starships, but I wish they'd also make some ocean-going ships that are scaled for the microfigs, like the old Helicarrier and Rexcelsior sets. Obviously this in particular couldn't be one of them, because then the baryonyx would make no sense at its size, but there are a lot of Lego ships with this cargo-ship aesthetic that would benefit, I think. No more would we have a bridge that can fit a single person, sitting down!
Then again this is probably a feature that would appeal more to adult fans like myself, as opposed to the target audience. Still, it would be fun to get some of the collector-style ships done like that. Feels sometimes like Lego needs a grade between minifig scale-ish playsets and the 'very adult' level that things like the USC Star Destroyer sit in.
6:28 he should have prints for his converse, like the boy from Hidden Side
Bumpers ! - nicely styled out Mr Jang - super review - cheers dude :)
I have never seen those interior prints until now, thank you JangBricks!
Very nice to see a POC face that is not an “angry” face! I have been struggling to find decent POC minifig heads for a MOC I am working on (a Blues Club and bar)
I'm pretty sure this face is a re-use of Finn's from Star Wars :(
what is a POC????
@@bertbergers9171 … person of color
@@vaimantobe3034 … I looked up the three alternate face heads of Finn on BL … I think the facial expressions on this one is new. Very similar, but new … not an “angry” face, and not a super “surprised” face!
I was watching staff build this one at my local Lego store recently. I was shocked at how old the hull mold was. Unlike the large police ship, this one uses the old unitary hull that has the space underneath it to attach the old motor. It is nice to get that hull in black for modern ship MOCs. Like Jang I like those Hulls.
I really like unitary ship hulls. This one in particular is not great though, these bulges are open and don't contribute to buoyancy too much. My guess is that this set with dino onboard will be top heavy. Color on the other side is great.
I picked it up for $46. Much better price. Great review thanks.
Youve saved me a lot of money jang thank you!
I like the set enough that i will add it to my boat/ship collection, but only once it is reduced by a seller.
And that is the problem atm with Lego, lots of sets will be affordable during their lifespan, but only because sellers take minimum marges on them or even a loss.
Lego should drop their pricing with 10-15% overall, so sellers can have an income allways instead of just going for marginal profits.
I agree on the shorts thing with the lady minifig, it should have been dual molded legs with print for the shoes/boots.
As is the colour is not opaque enough either to show truly that it should portray skin.
I also think the all green neck is such a stand-out, that i don't understand who let it go at Lego, someone should have stood up and say "hey we are not selling that as is!"
The boat hull looks great, and if I had a water area for my city I'd buy the set for the boat and modify it. The dino is a pass for me though, so it would/will end up with the kiddo if I buy this set.
this price/part ratio made me wheeze
Especially these kind of sets it is kinda useless to even calculate price/part.
It is overpriced, but not due to price per part.
If you could find this on clearance I’d go for it
If think if this one gets to 30$ i would buy it
Insane
You should absolutely google pictures of 2020 spinosaurus, while it may no longer be the horrifying monster of Jurassic Park 3, I absolutely adore the revelations 2020 gave us about it's anatomy. I think the big thing we still don't know is the arrangement of the sail spines
I agree, it is very fascinating how our view of these ancient creatures can change so vastly with new knowledge. We've barely scratched the surface of prehistoric beings, and we are still discovering new things about the ones we already know of.
It's kind of dissapointing that the Baryonyx haves the Indoraptor claw
i am getting this set for christmas but for the yaz figure lego should do a mold that has a bandage like in the
camp cretaceous series
Unless I get an 30% off, it´s a pass. I thought this before, even more after seeing the review. The hull and the Dino, really the only attractive features to me.
Chris Pratt had to be cloned after they kept losing trainers.
I love unitary boat hulls, they're such a good starting place for more novice builders in making your own ship. This boat isn't particularly interesting or inspiring for that purpose though...
I do like Lego unitary hulls too. In this instance, I also like the black and grey color pallet in this particular hull from a MOC point of view.
I wish they’d bring back the Lego City port set’s cargo ship hull, that hull is huge and it costs $100 on bricklink.
I really like the black lego boat! 😀👍
I like the boat itself, but I have no interest in the Jurassic-series, so I would have to spend some time to do something else with the back part of it so it could carry something else than the dinosaur. Think I will wait to get it until I find it on sale somewhere. Good review.
The dino is probably the most valuable thing in the set, so you could just sell it on ebay or bricklink and consider it a rebate.
I’ll wait for discount, but I really want that black and dark blueish-grey combo boat hull.
I see they change the baroyox arms but not the feet
i actually really like this set- even though it way overpriced. it reminds me of the spinosaurs scene from the original JP 3 film where the spinosaurus attacks the boat
I wish this set include more figures to improve the value and maybe side builds or another dino
I'm starting to think Lego should provide plastic mass amounts for sets so we can actually get a price to mass ratio instead of a price to part ratio.
Bricklink has a mass for most sets, not sure if that includes the manuals and packaging though.
Great review! I've had my eye on this set, so I've been waiting for this. Still not sold on it :/
Question: can the T-rex figure fit in the restraints on the boat, or is it tailor-made for just the baryonyx?
You should see the base area of the ship for the dinos, probably would be fit because how big and empty it is.
I think the neck harness is too small
Maybe. You may have to remove the head and put it back on over the brace
Some stores where I live actually have it for ~100€
cool dinos and a lot left to be desired. copy/paste that for every Jurassic world set.
Just teasing me for a spino at this point!
As a bit of a dino expert, that Baryonyx is really, really bad haha. Those recycled raptor legs Lego is using for it are not good at all.
Yeah, that's true but I highly doubt lego would make many new molds for dinosaurs. I understand where your coming from, because being a big fan or a bit of an expert of anything that a toy company makes, somethings can really grind your gears.
@@rickythomas9483 I wish they did more brick built ones. Not sure how scientifically accurate it is, but their 3 in 1 set is great value IMHO.
For the lego art style I think it captures the Jurassic world baryonyx well. The legs are only what I can assume of as a lack of effort.
Lego doesn’t spend more money to model more stuff, especially when Dominion is around the corner the sets are so big and there’s so many that Lego can’t model new things besides like 5 new models, Atrociraptor, Quetzal, Beta, Pyroraptor, and Giga’s body.
@@rickythomas9483 They remodeled the arms of the og Indominus and Baryonyx (and made them much worse). They could've done the legs...
This set-especially the boat-looks classic, so even though I don't watch Jurassic World, I actually like the set-especially the boat (note: I only said this based on what I saw in the thumbnail, without seeing the whole video, so once I see the whole video, I'll reply to myself and follow up)!
How long did you pause the video for?
@@donaldtusk2678 I didn't pause the video-I just let it play, but I didn't focus on it or listen to it (Jang had not gotten past the dinosaur by the time I finished). I just saw the thumbnail, tapped the video, typed a comment, and then left.
@@jheeshin621 ah ok that makes sense
Hi Jang, does this boat actually float? Didnt see a weight as a keel you can attach underneath, like you had in the early 80's.
They haven't had those for years, but they do float
It does float but no where near as well as the 80’s and 90’s boats with the weights. The bulging sides of the hill are open underneath and can let water in causing the boat to lean to one side. They don’t make them like the used to. Lol
This is an easy buy. You buy it for the boat hull to rebuild, leave the Dino in its bags. Sell the Dino in 3 years as new for $90.
Lego dino's are terrible. But they have value. Every jurassic set is free if you keep the dinos bagged then sell them 3 years later.
I'm surprised Jang didn't comment on how badly the butchered the print for the baby's eyes
I wonder if this set forshadow Isla nublar mt sibo euerttpion and the dinosaurs being taken away to Lockwood Manor
I just want it for the nautical bricks and parts, to build it into a Naval vessel or cargo ship.
Definitely at least ~$35 too much considering there’s not a lot of stuffs there for the cost.
the ship does not appear in the series.
a shame, they should have made the yacht of the poachers.
The biggest set should have been a treehouse.
Waited a while to pick this up and it paid off. Picked it up at my Walmart for 40$
I have this set. I don't care about the imperfections, it's perfect to me.
Btw I'm not a dino enthusiast, just boat and aviation
The green on the Dino's neck kinda bugged me but I care more for the boat itself
hey JANG. Is the old binoculars been replaced with what looks like a new part on top of the superstructure?
Nah. Also its not new its from friends since 2019
Should be £60/$60 in my honest opinion. But I agree with Jangbricks opinion throughout of this set.
40 Euros is already too much. Bad for the dealer who will pay Lego the full dealer price, but has to give discounts that will wreak havoc on his or her earnings...maybe even causing losses.
In the long term Lego might become a bane and dealer will avoid their products, instead of listening them as must-have in the portfolio, especially when all the good sets have become exclusives.
Hey LEGO! All boats should have the sonar tile. It’s so easy. Boat = sonar. Otherwise crash bang tinkle tinkle! Love the keypad though.. ummm…🧐
Yeah, has some details that give me an idea of decent space being available and used, but no. Saw on good discount (1/3 off) in UK, but not sold on it.
Why did Lego give the Baryonyx a sickle claw
Because they are cheap
hmm weird the ACU guard his head piece looks from the imperial officer🤔
I just got this today
New baryonx is sick cool
I got this set for $60 and I'm glad I got it.
i probably could modifie the rear of the ship to be able to carry Lego palettes of cargo
What do you do with your dinos after the set reviews?
Playing with it, pretend Owen has eaten by the dinos, Argggghhhh.....
He literally said at the end of the video he collects the dinosaurs.
I don't know if he's still doing it, but he did have a JP/JW inspired dino park set up under the city table.
@@tithund I hadn’t seen the whole video when I wrote the comment
Getting those tiles out of the little rubber boat will be a pain
what do you think the flat side of the brick separator is for?
I wish it was cheaper because it’s a bit expensive for what your getting.
That boat is not in the show. Looks like they took an idea for a jurrasic world set and simply added a dinosaur and kids from the CC show.
Same
Does it float?
Can't say the break in the tan underbelly of the dino really bugs me, but I understand why it would bug some people. I kinda like the aesthetics of the boat, even though the bottleneck design of the superstructure and the overall emptiness of the entire boat makes it smaller than it's outward appearance would seem. As for the "shorts", I 100% agree with JANG considering that I didn't even see those as shorts until it was pointed out! Definitely kind of embarrassing.
Ahh finally we get a set based of The Lost World:Jurassic Park…
So it now cost 35 dolars where i live ... So yea might get it ... For the dino and the boat piece
Thanks for the review. I was eyeing this set but after watching this I think I'm going to pass.
Wow I really want this now, but not worth $80
Wish lego would shell out for a non-indoraptor leg to make that Bary and any future dinosaurs look all the better
Unpopular opinion: for such a price it is better to buy literally any plastic toy dinosaurs to play with than use large specialized bricks that later are going to rot in 'unused bricks' box anyway
This was on sale for $40 at a nearby Walmart, so I had to take them up on it. Another dino and boat for my collection, mwahahahahahaha!!!!!
Seems too expensive even though it’s got the boat hull and Dino
Nice Set!!
Felt like they were trying to recreate the scene in Jurassic park 3 except with the spinosaurus and the boat
I have this set and the legs don’t fit in fully
I would actually buy this if it was 50. I just love the boat, but hateeeeee the Baryonyx.
I agree with Jang on this. It's just an absolute waste of space in the back and under it
Christ that price to part ratio. I know it isnt everything but...dam that's bad
The price is really not that bad y’all, JW sets have a worse price piece ratio because of the dinosaurs, and considering the boat is one mold, of course it’s gonna be expensive, but it really is pretty good when you consider those things
Its 70 in the netherlands and im def getting it. I love the baryonix in this set and i really like the boat. Its simple and realistic for the jp universe and i always wanted something like this to transport dinosaurs.
Official price?
@@bluerisk nope official is €85,- his price is from an online store.
And i think 70 is still too much (prices will drop a bit more in the coming months)
@@bertbergers9171 85 Euros? The same Euros we have?! Normally one can deduct about 30%, what is in turn really hurting the dealers.
I guess 50 to 60 will be realistic for potential buyers.
What show is this set based on?
Camp Cretaceous on Netflix
I want boat no matter what.
Nice looking ship but their isn't much there
LEGO stop putting stickers on floating boat hulls
The boat set could have included a Mosasaurus...
my only comallent for the baryonyxs made from Lego is that they have toe claws even Lego Jurassic world legend of Isla nublar shows the same model with toe claws at least Lego Jurassic world the game did a better job with the feet even dough it's the same as the Spinosaurus but without the sail and a different paint job
No wonder this set is on sale for $40 at Walmart.
Compare this Set with 7207: Fire Boat. Nearly same piece count and it costed 50 $ or € in 2010. Now calculate inflation of 10 Years to it and the Dino, like u said with the Carnotaurus at about 20 more, then u will get to 80 $ or €. So in my Opinion it is not overpriced, it could cost 90 mabe 100 $ or €. And it will sell well i think, cause kids like boats and dinos, both together better than ever.
This set looks awesome
It’s not worse!
price is ridiculous on this one
$120AUD from the Lego Shop. $99AUD from Kmart. If you say it's not worth it for the play-value and sparsely built boat, then I guess I'll pass on this one too.
So many sets, so little money.
If that grim then he died
Just realised u look like logan😅
Big set just not a lot of stuff
Thx Jang fur ruining this Dino for all of us. I didnt mind before, but now I cant unsee the green front neck now
Lego ruined hem themselves by giving them non screen acurate legs.
If it was 50 dollars, I would have bought it.
