I recently reverted to Islam. Before I actually looked into it I thought jihad meant holy war. The truth is jihad refers to the personal struggles we face day to day which could be anything. Now when I hear people use jihad to reference holy war I get upset because that’s only ONE aspect of Jihad and in that instance it’s referring to fighting back not starting a fight. You can also live in many Arab countries as a Christian. Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, UAE just to name a few have had Christian populations for centuries. I have never been to Israel, but I worked with a Palestinian and Israeli (both followed their respective religions). They were friends in Israel but both decided to leave Israel because they understood they would never be able to live their lives in Israel due to outside forces pushing them to extremes. One side loves him and thinks he is above average men, and when ever his name is said by them its followed with "peace be with him". Basically the exact opposite of the others view of him.
