Regardless of your view on the topic, I think it's safe to say - school's choose what they teach you. If you're ever wondering "why wasn't I ever taught this" when hearing about things which are referred to as "common knowledge", this is a good place to start asking why public education wouldn't tell you about it.

    • @lesterr4207

Thank you! I was thinking it's actually crazy how much Americans in general, it seems like, don't really know much about the outside world, I don't think it's because Americans are 'stupider' or more 'ignorant' than the rest of the world, I think the problem comes down to the public education system, I'm not sure about education in the US but here in Australia, if you go to a public school theres a pretty good chance your education isn't up to the requirement you need to be a successful and productive member of society

    • @reelbelles2341
      @reelbelles2341 Před 6 měsíci +10

@@kmojo8396As a US teacher, and someone who has traveled internationally a lot, I can confirm that we have one of the worst public education systems. Schools teach little to nothing about anything in the world unless it directly involves the US (so for ex., we learn about the world wars but mostly in the context of how we were involved, so something like how WWII impacted the middle east or Africa or anywhere else would not be included. Until adulthood, I literally had NO idea that anyone else was affected outside of the US and the European countries directly involved in the fighting - including this Palestine issue.) Most Americans don't know even the most basic amount of geography or world knowledge. We are also not allowed to talk about politics or religion in school, even from a purely educational standpoint, which is ridiculous. Even our own history is very sanitized and white washed. Much is glossed over and left out, which tells a pretty biased view of things. Plus, depending on what state ur in and what area, not only does the quality of education differ dramatically but even the CONTENT of what ur learning is a bit different and biased towards the beliefs and political leanings of that state.
Anyway, I could go on and on but suffice it to say that I've been to 3rd world countries where the ppl are far more educated than Americans are in all subject matters. Even if they can't go to school due to poverty or war, they still learn about the world bc the news, TV shows, movies, etc. in other countries are far more international. They're watching content from all over the world. Sometimes my family across the world would hear about news of things happening here BEFORE we would. When I travel, I would find people abroad more knowledgeable about what's going on in American politics than a lot of Americans. They also know more about American geography than a lot of Americans. Many Americans wouldn't even be able to LIST all 50 states, let alone find them on a map (this is literally a joke on Friends where they try to list all the states.)
Americans mostly only consume American content and watch American news. Most Americans don't even own a passport and have never been outside the country or region. They have such an isolated American exceptionalist view of the world and don't see where they have been fed narratives that are inaccurate bc they aren't exposed to other worldviews. This shows up in some of the reasonings these young gentlemen express. For example, many Americans think of the entire middle east as an overall hostile and dangerous part of the world. I once overheard a young man telling a young woman that he was traveling to Dubai, after which the girl expressed concern about whether he'd be safe there. I wanted to laugh and be like clearly u know NOTHING about Dubai if u have to ask that. The UAE is in the Gulf - one of the wealthiest parts of the world. Many seem to think the entire middle east is just a war zone or something bc the only time we ever hear about the middle east is in the context of war and islamophobia. And we never learn about how our country gets involved in all these wars and why, so people act like everyone there must just be barbaric ppl who enjoy war and dictators or something. Or that they're backwards ppl who live in the desert and ride camels. Or just a lot of ridiculous misconceptions. We also don't learn all the ways our government secretly props up all sorts of dictators around the world to suit their political interests.
But alas, as noted, it all goes back to a terrible education system, coupled with a lack of diversity in media, that leaves the overall population completely ignorant to so many things they really should know, both about our own country and about the rest of the world whose policies and lives we have far too much control over...

To clarify - The Arabs didn’t largely colonize Palestine, they mainly used the land for military purposes as well the collection of Jizya taxes for protecting the non-Muslim inhabitants. The Palestinians are mostly descendants of the remaining Israelites as well as Canaanites. They converted to Christianity when Christianity was born, and most of them converted to Islam between the 9th and 13th century (mostly between the 11th-13th century).

Another Fun Fact: Muslims did not displace the population of Palestine but liberated it's people and brought, jews and the "wrong" kind of Christians back to Palestine.
Another Fun Fact: The Crusades, were some of the most brutal massacres ever committed, killing Jews, Christians and Muslims alike.
Another Fun Fact: Muslims never forced anyone to become Muslim, the population converted over the centuries and the Arabic language of Palestine has deep connections to ancient Hebrew, and Aramaic because Jesus was an ancestor of the Palestinians.
Another Fun Fact: Not all Jews in the world are originating from Palestine. There is such a thing as Jewish conversion and it was a lot more common than you might think!

One thing I wanted to say, Arabs have always lived in Palestine since the time of Isaac and Ishmael the sons of Abraham. The Jewish lineage stems from Isaac and the Arab lineage stems from Ishmael. They’re literally cousins from 2 brothers. Also the Arab-Israeli war with multiple countries was won due to Britain and other European countries putting embargo’s on all the Arab countries, basically leaving them with limited weapons while at the same times flooding Israel with weapons. They couldn't have won without Europes support. Britain is literally the source of this issue, from the moment they gave Palestine to the Jewish people against the wishes of the indigenous Arab Palestinians. Lastly, before the 1980’s no “extremism” groups existed. These Arab countries have been bombed none stop for the last 20-30yrs. It’s hard for the neighboring Muslim countries to do anything when their own country is falling apart. Since the fall of the Ottoman Empire 100yrs ago, there has been active ongoing colonization in Arab lands until this day, Israel being the modern example. These were a few things that were missing from the context. Thank you guys for reacting to this video and learning more!

And that is your problem right there. You deny the existence of indigenous Jews who deserve to also have their own land and country since the jews have been treated by powerful Arab conquerors like subhumans throughout history. Just because a majority of people disagree with something, It doesn't mean it shouldn't have been done, otherwise a lot of good things that happened in history wouldn't have happened if consensus was a necessity especially when the British gave the Arab muslims Palestine AND Jordan. The jews having their own land and country is a sensible and necessary thing and the Arab Palestinians having their own land and country is also a sensible and necessary thing, but the thing is, Arab muslims from the Palestinian side don't and will never accep the existence a Jewish State and that is right there. . The Arab Palestinians thinks they have the sole right to whole of Israel and Palestine and the jews are just immigrants and settlers which is not true. The. Jews have always lived in Israel, they have about as much claim to the holy Land as much as the Palestinians, if not more so. Much of the Palestine population came from surrounding Arab nations just as much the jews migrated from Europe to the holy land to escape persecution and genocide. The hatred and dislike that Palestinian muslims have for the jews is deeply entrenched and religiously motivated. Any religion that says the end of days will not come until they fight a rival religious group cannot co-exist with that group. Its deluded of us to think otherwise. I guess Israel and Palestine are locked in an eternal war since Palestinian Muslims will never accept the existence of a Jewish state and jews will never relinquished the right to their ancient holy land.

I have a Lincoln Library book of Essential Info from 1955. It defined Semites as “A dark-skinned branch of the Caucasian race. It includes the Jews and the Arabians among modern peoples and, among ancient nations, the Assyrians and the Phœnicians. The name is so applied because of the traditional belief, without historical foundation, that this race was descended from Noah's son Shem.” Which means that this conflict is between two branches of Semitic people. Interestingly, Ethiopians are Semites as well, who’s ancestors came from southern Arabia. Semitism is determined by ancestry, not religion.

    • @MrVvulf
      @MrVvulf Před 6 měsíci +5

The term "Semite" wasn't created until the 1800s, and it is becoming frowned upon by historians because it isn't helpful in any way, being based on a set of languages, not a race.
      From Britannica:
"Semite, name given in the 19th century to a member of any people who speak one of the Semitic languages, a family of languages spoken primarily in parts of western Asia and Africa. The term therefore came to include Arabs, Akkadians, Canaanites, Hebrews, some Ethiopians (including the Amhara and the Tigrayans), and Aramaean tribes. Although Mesopotamia, the western coast of the Mediterranean, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Horn of Africa have all been proposed as possible sites for the prehistoric origins of Semitic-speaking populations, there remains no archaeological or scientific evidence of a common Semitic people. Because Semitic-speaking peoples do not share any traits aside from language, use of the term “Semite” to refer to the broad range of Semitic-speaking peoples has fallen out of favour. For this reason, some critics even encourage the removal of the hyphen in the term anti-Semitism to help dispel any pseudoscientific notions of a "Semitic race." They advocate instead for the use of antisemitism to describe the hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious or racial group.
In fact, by 2500 BCE Semitic-speaking peoples had already become widely dispersed throughout western Asia. In Phoenicia they became seafarers. In Mesopotamia they blended with the civilization of Sumer. The Hebrews settled with other Semitic-speaking peoples in Palestine."

Rabbi Shapiro states after reading historical documents that Zionism was created to destroy Judaism! The Zionists of that time, actually hated Jews, and wanted to change them!! The majority of Zionists that went to Palestine in 1948 were atheist or secular Jews just as they are today & not actual ultra orthodox Jews who believe there should be no Jewish state! something that is not pointed out enough is although Jews were offered more of the land it was less useable. It was mostly a swamp area (which is why many Jews died of malaria because of the mosquitoes) or a desert in the south where it was hard to practice agriculture. One of the biggest miracles of Israel is how it managed to create new technology and techniques to overcome those issues. those innovations are now used globally.

Jewish is an ethnoreligion - both a race (Hebrew) and a religion (Judaism). After the fall of the second Temple in 70AD, Jews were expelled from the land of Judea and Israel, and into Africa, Europe, and Southeast Asia. This exodus created distinct racial groups (Ashkenazi, Semitic, Persian-Sephardic, Ethiopian, etc) of Jews, united by both religion and maternal line.
The result of this over the last 2,000 years is several distinct racial groups who are all Jewish by either birth, religion, or both.

Islam was invented in 600AD far after Christianity and Judaism. The Christians recognize Jesus was a Jew so Judaism is older and Islam even mentions Jerusalem as home to the Jews (before calling them liars and saying they should be killed).
The British only took control because the Ottoman Turks who controlled Palestine sided with Germany in WWI. Germany promised them stolen Russian land when they won... but sure, be upset that the people who were attacked, the British, won and flipped the script and took THEIR land. Karma.
Meanwhile, Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq invade Israel in 1948 not even ONE DAY after the British hand over the keys and then get upset when the lose and lose land in the process. Had they won, would they have given Israel back to anyone and not kicked out all the Jews as they promised? Nah.
The only constant in this land (besides Islam being new with no claim) is conflict. To the victors go the spoils.

Throughout history many people lost their homes due to war and conflict (Jewish people as well, many times) but everyone moves on, they don’t. The reason behind it is not land, or wanting to return to their homes. Their reason is simply the hatred of Jews and the will to end them. And that’s the sad reality

One thing the video left out, is the Peel Commission was the first time a partition plan was offered in 1936. In that plan the Arabs were given the majority of the land and rejected it.

The Arabs are the oldest nation in history. Their origin goes back to their grandfather, Ya'arab bin Qahtan bin Sam. They were on the Arabian Peninsula, making up 30 of the Arabs of the ancient Middle East. Before Isaac, the father of the Jews, was born and lived on this planet, there were Canaanite Arabs, who were Semitic Arab peoples who migrated from Yemen after the demolition of the Ma'rib Dam. Provide history The Jews were mobile nomads who herded sheep and had no homeland. This is why they were called the Hebrews. If we assume that the presence of the Jews for a short period of time in this region on small lands gives them the right to that country, according to this logic, this means that Italy has right to the British Isles because they ruled it for a thousand years. A year and their traces are still there

It is important to note that the most of the land that the UN gave Israel was desert - the Negev Desert. The overwhelming part of the more livable land was awarded to the Arabs.

      I would like to add…
If you look at the biblical history of Israel and all the Wars and Occupiers throughout the years. Jews have always been in that land.
Judaism came before Christianity and Islam.
If you look into the modern day history of
1948 the day Israel earned its Independence from the British mandate of “Palestine”
Immediately the following day they were attacked by Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Jordan/Iraq
Those countries asked the “Palestinians” in the West-bank, Gaza, and within Israel’s borders to leave and promised them that they will win the fight for them. In 1948,1956,1967,1973
They technically displaced the “Palestinians” every time they lost.
And created refugees in doing so.
Israel never asked the “Palestinians” to leave.
      Ask any real non-biased historian.
Unfortunately Israel always extends its hand for peace with land and the “Palestinians” (government) refuses.
      It’s called the 3 No’s
no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel, and no peace with Israel.
Israel is the only country that has given land back that they rightfully won in war in order to make peace. Israel is the only country that does strategic, surgical attacks on terrorist/terrorism with the least amount of casualties to be harmed or killed.
Israel is the only country that has to defend itself from (world opinion) in order to defend itself from its enemies and the right to exist as a sovereign nation.
Just look at what happened 10/7/23.
Hamas is a terrorist group just like Isis
“Palestinians” voted them in to power.
They killed over 1200 people injured over 3000 and captured 240 hostages.
They trade innocent hostages (240) for known terrorist criminals captured in Israeli jails

@@davidkash123 yeah, and if one were to say, what "religion" can claim ownership then Islam falls last.
The preexistence of Christianity and Judaism is even in the Quran, which also notes the importance of Jerusalem to the Jews. Then of course it goes into the fun bits about hating Jews, calling them liars, and how to wage war on all non believers, lol. Still though, Islam is dead last in terms of the chicken and the egg dynamics.

I'm sorry to inform you, that this video is complete propaganda! I don't know how much Israel paid for it, but they did a great job twisting history. Please forget and read history books... We can't let them manipulate people that easily

That’s a good non-biased video! If you take classes to be a religious figure or theology you’ll come across this topic. Jews do not believe Jesus is the Messiah , Christians do. I majored in communication and humanities. I am also a Christian and have studied a lot of these topics. I’m glad you guys are touching this subject.
