Good show with common sense info. It's hard believe some guys coming to PI looking for for women have no experience with dating or seeing the red flags in these women. You have to be at the top of your game when dealing with women anywhere. Be very careful these days.

The worst gold digger I ever heard of was a woman who would marry Army guys before they got shipped over to Vietnam. After they got killed she collected their insurance. She got married 7 or 8 times. She eas very calculating and only married them if they were in certain units.

I had to assist a widow in our relatively small unit with processing the life insurance policy for her deceased husband. About 10 weeks later, she drives up in a new truck, see through sun dress, with her 16 year old daughter dressed the same. She asks if they can take me to lunch, and also directly states that her and her deceased were not close. She also stated her and her daughter would love to get to know me better. Ummm, no thanks. So much for grieving period.

Well my Filipina wife and I are working on our 15th year. We are very compatible after a little struggle at the start. I remember going to the bank before I married the Filipina. They told me that with my divorce settlement finalized I owed them (the bank) 1.45 Million USD. They said they were no longer able to finance my operating expenses. And with that background my Filipina married me. Well the Filipina came to my place and married me. And she worked side by with me for over a decade and we climbed out of debt and had a nice retirement fund. She had a nice job with benefits on too. The ex took my money and half my retirements, but I had a good business plan that kept working after I was stripped of the my retirements. Anyway my Filipina wife has been the opposite of a gold-digger.

The main issue is communication. The couple needs to sit down prior to marriage to set expectations with money. Especially with family. We know a few women in our area that are strong armed by their families to give them money which has caused a strain on the relationship. The wife is caught in the middle.

Yes, do not send money to a girl you have never met in the Philippines. Pay attention and be on the defense, and watch out for red flags. Be prepared to ghost them. Agree, find a girl that works and supports her family, its better if she has siblings who work and help support her family. Let your Pinay know up front that you will not help support her family unless you want her to quit working, then you better be sure she's the one because jobs are hard to find in the Philippines. Good video, Steve...Jim

I have heard talk about the Philippines government enacting a Divorce Law in the Philippines. Has anybody heard any details about the Division of Assets, Alimony and Child Support parts of the Law. Will it be like the US, Australian or the Thai Divorce Laws. Only the US has Alimony (though that is changing - Florida for example), Thai Division of Assets - what you take into a marriage remains yours, should you later get Divorced.

The few first hand stories I have would make you physically ill. I found one that didnt want, nor ever mention money. Thinking Filipinas are not smart is a big mistake, just look at how adaptable they can be. I rely on my lady to help me navigate some of the more unique cultural situations too. She has never let me down. See you in March of next year Steve.

Would've sent her off to work overseas and support them. That kind of family. I mean, they implicity said, she would've supported the family if we didn't meet.
When her mom learned we were dating, she stopped paying for her college and expected me to do it. When I said no, I'm not married to her, the sister started saying it's my responsibility since we live together to her in bisaya over video chat. Filling her head of nonsense.

what exactly is better.. if your perameters are only looks and you are not going to financially outplay your competition you are heading to disaster. .. decent girl is a misnomer ,most guys want to find a girl that is way above their pay grade that have so many options being attractive and think they are the one ..20 years here and you guys are not thinking realistically ..there are plenty of GOOD ONES but if you only go for STUNNERS and you are not either rich or handsome and relatively young you can end up another sad horror story. imo p.s. there are exceptions but they are rare

My Filipina wife has, according to some commentators, been gold-digging for the past 12 years. During that time we have travelled all around the world, had a child together, bought a lot of property and relocated to the Philippines. She is welcome to the gold since it means we have a decent family life and have a decent income. The family gets no free ride. They work for us and earn their way, so there are no handouts. Yes, I gave her the gold-mine to begin with, but she's doing pretty well at the seam, which is why I can spend time watching these videos! The biggest gold-digger I ever encountered was my ex-wife, a Brit, who did her best to screw me over. She managed to do that in the short-term, but ultimately she failed. My advice, for what it's worth, is come to the Philippines WITH someone, not to FIND someone.

If these guys are smart, they pretend they don’t have any money and find a genuinely interested woman. Maybe they haven’t watched Eddie Murphy‘s movie, coming to America! Lol, true love shouldn’t cost you

    Great video once again Steve.
Too many trying to be Captain Save-A-Ho whether it be stateside or in the Pinas'.
I recently had a co-worker go thru a divorce after being married 42 years and just before his planned retirement at 62. Guess what, that retirement may never happen he lost half his pension, half his 401k, half of their savings and is paying alimony. I feel bad for the guy, wife knew he was planning to retire and did a rug pull on him. He fought like hell but lost his shorts in the end and may be working until the day he dies.
Western women do not give a flip about a long term relationship. Most not all suck all the resources dry and then move on to the next victim. They laugh and brag about it and then wonder why they are valued nothing more than a pump n dump once they hit that wall which wr all know the wall never fails.
Women in general live for the moment. They rarely if ever plan long term and it shows.
I will be married 20 years next June to my pinay wife. Hasnt always been a bed of roses but it isnt supposed to be either.
General rule I have followed in the Pinas' is get to know the family, turn the blinders off and observe. If any member of the immediate family is !@cked up then you best run like hell.
Too many good Filipina's who come from a great family backround to get involved with instead of settling for the trashy side.
