The smallest Mercedes SUV is the GLA not the GLC.
+Comand86n2 GLA is hardly an SUV...if anything it's a crossover but it's more like a hatchback to begin with.
It is indeed based on the A class hatchback but it is defenetly not just a raised A class, (Like the Allroad series by Audi) and so far i have always seen it referenced has an suv, even tax wise. :)
+kraenk12 It's sort of an SUV. A mini SUV, like the Suzuki SX4, Renault Captur and the Volkswagen CrossPolo.

Thanks for the review. I am currently in the process selecting between the GLC and the VW Touareg... they are very similar in price in AUS, I guess the vw has better engine, V6 but less sparks in the cabin, and also is it going to have a new generation next year?? Having said that I am quite attracted by its price and also its very versatile use and quality build.

To be honest, I actually like the car based on how the presenter, well, presented it. As much as I want Matt to be back at carbuyer, this guy is not doing a bad job. Not as comical as Matt was, but he still, a good job.

47,000 pounds is really expensive. In America, the equivalent dollar amount is not only GLE-class money, but you're close to getting a GLS-class.

I replaced my 2011 S-class in April 2015 with the 2015 S-class because of three incidents of unintended acceleration and didn't feel safe driving it anymore. Recently I've been having problems with my 2015 S-class and I've only had it for eight months. All of the warning lights, which include AEB, BSD, engine, auto hold, power steering, AWD and ABS turned on while driving. Even power steering was not working as well. I had to take it back to Mercedes twice to look into this problem. I got my car back again two days ago after getting the speed sensor replaced and test driven by its service manager and foreman for over 450km. Hopefully the problem has been fixed once and for all to save me the trouble of bringing it back. I am so lucky to have two lemons from the same brand (one after the other). The S-class I bought in May 2011 was my first German car. I was very happy with it for the first few years until the first incident of unintended acceleration happened in August 2014. Such experience with my S-class shake my faith in the quality of this brand.

The new Jaguar F-Pace is a much more handsome SUV, with great performance. GLC has the most luxurious interior, but it's COMMAND interface is one of the least user-friendly of any cars!
electric folding seats are also available on the Audi Q7
Incorrect info in this review: Mercedes has been this SUV segment for several years with the GLK (so they aren't new to this) and have been competing with BMW X3 and Audi Q5. I hate seeing huge blatant mistakes like this in reviews!

The GLK wasn't aimed towards the UK and wasn't sold here, YOU get your facts right, you embarrassment.

+dcharizard91 If it helps mercedes benz released the glk in 2008 and it they gave it a facelift in 2013 after that in 2015/16 they renamed it the glc hope this helps :)

+Kaysan Davidson It's the same engine as before, just with newer tweaks for more PS. I had a 245bhp Touareg with the old engine and it was one of the best cars I've owned.
MB has never been absent from the list. There was the GLK which is called the GLC now.

i never would have guessed the GLK wasn't sold in the UK. It seems like people would have loved to have a Mercedes of that size. I don't get why they don't offer the gas engine there yet either because we only have the gas in America.
They need to integrate the display properly, don't see why they've gone the stuck on route when last gen C class had it integrated.
As long as it's not that woman, Carbuyer's videos are quite enjoyable :)
