The Mercedes GLC Coupe is a costly addition to the wide variety of SUVs out there, but adds extra style to the regular GLC. It's comfortable and decent to drive, without costing a fortune to run. Although there are more economical, cheaper alternatives, the great interior and image of the GLC Coupe make it well worth considering.

the failure of all reviewers on this kind of cars is they compare a coupe with a usual suv regarding the back seat.Its as low as a coupe, if you don't like a coupe, don't buy it, go buy a bus to rest inside like a king.

Great review. Interior ruined by the lazy tablet installation. Info. system is terrible compared to the Audi or BMW. Love the interior design even with the shortfalls is beautiful. Exterior preference would be the X4 which is just the right size for a coupe.
Kind of reminds me of the rally fighter, if you add a lift kit.
Are these still plagued by the crabbing issue when even a small amount of steering lock is applied??
Not a fan of these coupe esque SUVs but it looks a lot better than a BMW X4

From the outside the GLC has better proportions than the X4, the inside it's a matter of taste I suppose. While the X4 is showing it's age (new one is coming in a few months) I still prefer it to the Mercedes. I just don't like the MB interiors, especially because they are so impractical. The ride however, I tried both and the X4 wins hands down from the GLC, and the 2.0 ltd diesel in the BMW is by far the best diesel on the market today. Yes there are stronger ones, but taking into account the performance, the mileage, the comfort and the reliability, it is a perfect engine. And talking about reliability, BMW together with Porsche are the best, outperforming MB by far.
Is it Car Buyers policy nowadays not to give the prices? I've listened a couple of times and still haven't spotted any pricing.

Why do car enthusiasts give the BMW x6 credit for the rear sloped deign, when it was the Acura ZED or Toyota Venza that started the style trend????
I’ve got an x6, now looking to buy this. So done with BMW’s sales guys’ arrogance.
Seems like Ginny forgot to mention that the navigation screen is NOT a touch screen....for that kind of money the least MB can do is give you a touch screen!
I actually really like it! Its not that ugly in person (okay, a Macan looks waaay better) and for somebody like me, its practical enough. Tthe AMG versions with the big 5 spoke wheels have great road presence too.

Looks better than the X4 & X6 because it looks more smooth. They both look awkward. This looks nice and smooth but aggresive as well.

True also about the interior quality, as pretty as it is, it's not really that well made.
After all this years and due to it being a common sight, the exterior and interior doesn’t wow anymore. What’s disappointing though is the quality. With the unfinished wood in the AMG line, the centre console looks fine. But the standard gloss black trim is a finger print magnet and scratches easily. Parts of the centre console squeaks when you touch it and frankly the entire set up of buttons and command system isn’t very intuitive to use. A Porsche Macan on the other hand feels bomb proof inside. The BMW X4 and Volvo XC60 has superior fit and finish and has controls that are easier to operate. To me, the GLC (and the C Class) looks expensive but doesn’t feel so.
Eugene Tan that's the first impression. But when time passes, you'll realise the parts in the mercedes still hold together but parts in the macan, x4, q5 will fall appart.
I work with these cars all the time and never had a problem with the glc, c class. But the glove box of a q5 stayed in my hand after opening it. The button to open the center console in the macan broke and the x4 was a squeaking machine.
Not true my friend, I tested one of these and it had only 6000 KM, the sound of the brakes was terrible and there was a terrible squishy sound comming from God knows where. I´ve driven cars like Ssangyong that offer better assembly and less unexpected noises than for a lot more KM than this MB and it was quite disappointing.
t0urniquet brake noise come from dust or any extreme temperature. It's normal and does it on every cars with sensible brake brakes.
The squishy thing can happen. You can't use one car to reprensent the entire cars assembly. Lemons are normal

comfortable instead of dynamic driving sport SUV, but you can not sit in the back for a long journey. Why??? Great interior design, but plastic feel quality buttons, why???
It's such a shame you forgot to mention the crabbing and fuddering when on full lock!!!!

Great looking car, drives good, feels good, but I hate how Mercedes just slap on the infotainment screen. Why Mercedes?! BMW integrate it into the dashboard, making the screen look like it belongs there. Audi - same deal. Yet Mercedes is ok, with simply gluing an I-pad to the dashboard! Thank God, Mercedes too has started to make the screen part of the dashboard in the new E-class, S-class and CLS. Hopefully the other models will follow.
Whats the main difference between it and the GLE coupe? Price only

xbx2207 i don't know where you're from but here in canada the glk is still preferable to a glc. People fkg love it.
It's design is so unique and can reflet some g class dna. It holds value very well and is really in demand.

Tablet plonked on dash = horrible lazy design eyesore unlike the S Class integrated screen which is cool.
Interior ruined, as ever, by Mercedes’ insistence of adding a cheap looking tablet to the dash. It’s as if the designers completely forgot they were supposed to fit an infotainment screen and rushed out to buy end of line Hudl 1 stock from Tesco at the last minute. It really isn’t lovely.

AnishGaming a coupe should be a sports car low long wide... not tall bulky and bloated. The rear of the these Mercedes also looks weird to me cause the light are so big and out of proportion.

I really don't get these "coupe" SUVs.
Less practicality and, in the case og BMWs and Mercedes', a truly hideous design for more money than the standard one.

Mercedes's interior has gotten worse and worse every year. Now it might looks ok, but it's very low quality. Cheap material or cheaply made, not solid at all. They should fire the designers. I will buy porsche Marcan instead of this or BMW.
