I came from tha last to check this out and it’s just pure genius ty
Thanks 😀
Perfect timing! I just ordered a hot glue gun with changeable nozzles and some threaded bolts exactly for this! Thanks for the tutorial! :D
Welcome 😀
I'm having a difficult time drilling here (I am using a bolt that is the correct size I need for my hot glue gun); the drill bits I am using make little progress when drilling and keep breaking, especially the 4mm-sized ones. What type/brand drill bits are you using or recommend?
Bosch, metabo, makita all top brends its ok
@@lets_make what drill size is for 1.75 filament ? Thx
1.5 1.6
Very nice.
If you could get it either a brass 12mm bolt or even better a copper bolt would be better. The thermal conductivity of steel is low compared to brass and especially copper.
Yes better brass and copper
4:55 when he says "use 4 drill bit", does he mean 4 mm drill bit?
@@rachelkodner421 . Judging by the bolt size of M12 it does look to be a 4mm drill bit.
@@Alan_Hans__ when I went to Home Depot there’s like a ton of different M12 sizes. I’m not sure which thickness to get of M12.
@@rachinc . I have no idea what thread it is specifically but the "standard" 12mm (M12) bolt thread is 1.75mm pitch.
will a regular hot glue nozzle work if i dont have all the tools in this video? im able to find nozzles that are close to the right diameter for filament and the ends would need to just be sanded to widen the diameter but they have balls inside the nozzle and i assume thats why they wouldnt work.
I try it that with glue gun 40w not work maybe if you can find 100w will work
@@lets_make interesting, I'll give it a try
@@Thats_Cool_Jack Thanks 😀
@@Thats_Cool_Jack did you give it a try?
And if you did how did it go?
Really cool which country are u from?
Thanks, Serbia
I'm going to try this. Do you have an estimate of the depths for each step down in drill size?
Use ziptie for drill speed
Brother i have 1.75mm nozzle for the glue gun can i use this? Pls reply
Yeah bro thank you very much i will subscribe you 🙏🙏👍
Welcome 😀👍
On metal, a file works WAY better than sandpaper... jussayin...
Bro suggest me a avarage price glue gun and drill machine which is available in Amazon
There is link in comments search it
For 1.75mm, its better use 1.5mm or 2.0mm?
1.5, 1.6
Why not just screw in extruder nozel spare sent woth most printers ?
Your hack saw blade is the wrong way around. Teeth ointing forward so it cuts on the push. Couple of pushes and you should be through that bolt.
Yes, thanks for noticing 😀
im subed to you your a legend
Hello, genius idea!
Do you think a 150W hot glue gun with an adjustable nozzle and a temperature range of 120°C to 220°C Celsius will work?
Yes
Where can you find that threaded metal piece
If you can find use screw 😀
The hole inside my gluegun is way too small to get something through it, what do i do?
Nozzle drill with 1.5mm drill inside glue gun with drill 5 drill
can anyone tell the size of the bolt
It's better to sand this diy nozzle again for getting chance of cone shape
Better use copper
la hoja de la sierra esta al revez
I'm interested in knowing the reason behind creating a new nozzle rather than using the original nozzle that came with the hot glue gun. It appears that the nozzle opening of both the original and the one you made are similar. Could you confirm if the diameter of the hole in the new nozzle (your design) is 1.8mm? Thanks.
1.5mm
its basically no reason behind it :') unless you are planning on sending it back once it stops working :D
@@nathanbelsey792did you try with the original nozzle that comes with the glue gun? If not do you think it will give the same result? Please reply ASAP.
@@asoadnan174 I tried with the nozzle that came with my hot glue gun and the PET strips wouldn’t feed through, then I tried to run copper wire through it, and that wouldn’t get through either
Couldn't you just drill the existing hole bigger?
Genius
Thanks 😃
Gluegun name??
Gold eagle
“Use 6 drill”??. does that mean 6mm drill bit ?
yes
@@lets_make what is the exact size / measurements of that m12 threaded rod? I went to Home Depot and there are multiple sizes for it.
@@rachinc M12 is M12. You just need to cut 16mm so the shortest rod you can find will be good. Unless you are talking about thread pitch then standard pitch for M12 is 1.75
@@BARTHEZ42 “m12 is m12”. I completely disagree. I went looking for it at Home Depot. And each one of them had a different thickness (width). There was no telling which one was the right width to fit into the hot glue gun.
@@rachinconly parameter of metric thread apart from diametre is pitch. If video just says M12 then it should be standard pitch which is, as I said, 1.75 for M12
Good job
Thanks 😀👍

High cringe watching you drill.
Otherwise, good information.
