- Welcome to today's woodturning project! I turned this weird log and used a blue colored resin to make this simple but pretty bowl. For the finish I used Danish oil.
Hope you enjoy the video!

I'm glad I logged in for another Wood Workshop video.
Really fantastic piece! Thanks so much for sharing!
This piece is absolutely beautiful. The touch of blue makes it pop. Good choice 👍 👍 👍 ☺.
I've been watching you fellas on YT turn firewood into furniture now for about 3 yrs, this piece takes the cake, I am legitimately, NO 💩, going to buy the tools I need to do this, thanks for the kick in the ass 🤘🤙✌️🖖😎
Absolutely beautiful work! The resin looks so good with the wood. I really like the way you put the 4 pieces of wood together. Very talented!
Oh my gosh that is so beautiful!!!❤👍👍👍😃
Beautiful looking bowl. Love the blue acrylic with the turned wood
Lovely color choices. 👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍
Excellent job. I like the unique way you cut the log up to form a bowl blank. Very creative.
Thanks a lot! Glad you like it!
The see through blue is a nice touch and goes well with the wood.
Bold choices yield beautiful pieces!
Turned out really nice. Not sure I would have thought to turn it inside out. Well done.
So cool. This is a new favourite of mine
Beautiful bowl 👍
I like this wood its got alot of character there is lots of nice grain and markings and the colour is lovely. The blue resin is awesome and what an unique piece of woodturning it really is stunning. Like all your masterpiece of woodturning you have done you have outshone yourself again. Thanks for another excellent design and great video thank you ooncecagain from Amanda in Scotland in the UK x
Beautiful piece!!!😎👍👍👍
Absolutely beautiful
The fact that you have no bubbles in that cast without using pressure pot is amazing
Stunning piece! Love the touches of blue resin with the wood! 💙🤎
Thanks a lot!
That is beautiful! Good job. Thanks 4 sharing!

Very nice! Great idea for the set up too.
Thanks a lot!
Very nice!
Very pretty
Amazing!!!
Gorgeous
Beautiful, good choice of colors. How would it have looked if you hadn't turned the odd?, pointed edges off?
Beautiful
Beautiful piece !
Yes, the odd edges would have looked fantastic if they could have been worked. but it was a beautiful bowl none the less.
Как же красиво, Мастер! 😊👍🤌
Great way to save wood some would have just burned not seeing the beauty within.
wow what a beautiful piece well done
Very nice
very nice work ! End result is great !!
Amazing and beautiful!
What a great idea, I have some trees with similar rot I might just have to replicate it, it’s very nice.
absolutely beautiful! Mind sharing what you used to make the form around the bowl blank to pour the resin? I'm looking for something flexible and non-stick like that. Really excellent piece!
Thank you! I am using a plastic sheet roll, that I bought from Amazon.
@@WoodWorkshopTV by chance do you remember what it's called?
Very pretty, great job, beautiful artistic insight!
Thanks a lot!
Maestro.
The finished piece is quite nice. Good figure and an excellent finish. However I think it was a shame to lose all the beautiful natural edge. When you quartered the piece you created an outstanding rim. I believe a shallow platter would have been in order. Leave all the natural edge and still see all the great figure and color in the middle of the piece. But you were the guy holding the tools and it did turn out quite nice. 👍Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
That would have been nice, too. Thanks a lot and have a nice day!
I agree. However, it did turn out very pretty and the simplicity of the bowl allows for the natural grain to take center stage.
Very beautiful piece sir have a great day ✌️
Thanks, you too!
Can I buy this?! Your work is stunning.
That is truly a gorgeous bowl. What kind of wood was that?
You do such wonderful work, do you have an Etsy store by chance? I'd love to buy one of your creations one day.
Beautiful project and use of resin, but your poor little lathe sounds like it could use some fresh bearings!
Beautiful bowl! Hope you don’t mind me asking but did you use a pressure pot while curing the resin?
What is the material used to wrap the blank before pouring the epoxy?
Very creative. Was that a CA finish?
It might be interesting to leave some of the outside features than just turn them away, but it’s your project
👌💯🇧🇷
👏👏👏👌👍
Beautiful! Where do you find that plastic to make the mold? I need some.
very very cool. what type of wood??
Cool but I feel you turned away some of the most interesting elements. I'd have tried to save more of the knotty wood.
Hi 👉👍
ngl, kind of a pity that this beautiful natural edge of the log got mostly shaved off, it had such an interesting shape as those pieces got glued together
How is the resin food-safe?
Because it's fully cured.
do you have a website?
Che so que'e righe??
Interesting, but far too much of the process was cut out.
Please don’t use a bandsaw without pushers. A friend recently lost two fingers doing what you’ve started this video with.
