I have seen the Gripen at a couple of air shows. Don’t know why but the very sound makes me think I should head for a bunker.

this really is the best audio quality I've found on CZcams. isn't your microphone clipping at all? which one is it?
Glad you like it :D it's Zoom H4n Pro.
It can handle up to 140 dB SPL. This time it was clipping just slightly because I set the input gain just tad to high, but it's not much. The sound of the real thing is kind of "clipping" in real life anyway so if the recording clips just slightly it's not a nightmare to me.

Yes, we were in Karlskrona on 13.08. at the marina day. It was a very interesting event with the Swedish Navy helicopters and ships👍🏻

Teknisk fråga. Tror du att en Panasonic HC-VXF1 skulle funka att fånga bra video med motljus? Någonting runt 10’ kr tänkte jag mig

@@tomryner5830 när min kamera var ny kostade den 12000:- och jag vill egentligen skaffa något ännu lite dyrare. Men HC-VXF1 verkar räcka alldeles utmärkt verkar det som :) Lästa lite om den nyss! En kille jag följer har en fräck film på Eurofighter som är filmad med GoPro för vidvinkelperspektivet vilket ger en fantastisk fartkänsla i videoklippet. Men jag vill gärna ha möjligheten att zooma in ganska långt.

What this film don't really get across is how insanely loud they are on take-off...
I was doing some rigging in a cell tower in Linköping with these guys taking off and landing all day only a couple hundred meters from me. Good thing I had a harness on for the first one...
Yea... it's quite breathtaking and jaw dropping to say the least.
They might be loud on takeoff but my experience is that it is way quieter in flight than the F/A-18 that I saw on a flight show. Living nearby an airbase of Gripen makes you used to a certain level of noise which doesn't even bother me that much at its loudest (at low level), but I wasn't prepared for the deafening rumble of the American planes, and they were way way up high.

Filmar så ofta jag kan och får tillfälle till det! Men jag fokuserar på att få ett bra och verklighetstroget ljud först och främst - det är det som ger videon rätt liv i min mening. Jag kommer filma det tills jag dör, så är det 🥰

A technical question but what camera did you use and can you somehow attach the Zoom microphone on it? Or did you just hold it? 🤓
I recorded the video with a Canon HF G50 at 1080p 50fps. The Zoom microphone was held by my fellow traveller. As of right now I don't know how and if I should attach the Zoom to the camera or just keep going with the two-man approach. The sound source is so big and far away anyway so the distance between camera and microphone becomes negligible 😊distance between mic and camera also eliminates unwanted camera handling noises!

Varför är ljudet så repigt? Är det verkligen så?
Ja, det knastrar en del om luften som kommer ut ur utblåset på ett stridsflygplan. Särskilt som delar av luftstrålen ut där bak "spränger ljudvallen" när motorn går på högvarv - den kommer ut ur flygplanet i överljudsfart.
