- I try to avoid any impulsive clothing purchases, but sometimes you find a lovely piece with only one left in your size... so I need to make sure it's actually right for my wardrobe!

I like it! It seems versatile to me. While it was an "impulse" purchase, I imagine you thought about your closet as a whole and had an idea that it would fit in well with your wardrobe or you wouldn't have brought it home.

I like it. I know that you aren’t a huge fan of impulse purchases but it is ok to give yourself some grace and just enjoy something. Buying one additional dress every few years is fine.

I think all the outfits look good. Is this dress filling in a gap in your wardrobe or do you already have things that can do what this dress does?
Yes and no. I need some pieces that can be dressed up but also easily worn day-to-day, but was initially thinking a couple nicer tops that would work well with the skirts and trousers I have. So that's why I was undecided about the dress, although this dress in particular offers more versatility than a top. Lots to consider!

I like the dress on you, and the outfits you made with it, though I don’t think it would be appropriate for a wedding cause it’s black. Doesn’t come across as very summery for that same reason, would be great for autumn and winter though!
