I will never forget the Mario Bros. 2 (Lost Levels) part of 'Why was Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels a Japanese game only?' from Johnny. *_BECAUSE THE GAME WAS DEVELOPED BY SATAN HIMSELF!!!_*
@@esmooth919 True but if it were compatible, it would've made it easier. Then again it wouldn't fix the "Sonic 2006" level bugginess the game had. Maybe if "Superman 64" had an extra year to cook, it would've been better. Maybe give it a better name. "Superman 2000".
it sort of feels weird for Johnny to say that sonic 06 is being pretentious for trying to be serious, yet sonic adventure 2 was a story that was taking itself seriously with a doppelganger of Sonic and his creator wanting to kill all of humanity become the government raided the entire base and tried to destroy the project they created. not to mention, shadow the hedgehog also was a story that tried to take itself seriously with shadows allegiance. plus to say that silver and blaze wouldn't exist if the past was changed is a pretty naive thing to say. we don't know how their future turns out. the timeline might change, but for all we know, silver and blaze could still be born and still live their lives but without the whole apocalyptic type world. Maybe they could have peaceful lives and have a family together. as to why Memphilis killed sonic, he sees sonic as his greatest threat. that's why he has silver go after him, while he tries to get rid of shadow.if he gets one of those two out of the way, then he knows his plans can take affect since he knows that sonic and shadow are the strongest and have been able to stop many bad guys from before using their super forms. hell, even shadow says at the end of the game that stopping Solaris would be possible if sonic was alive. he knows sonic is the most reliable out of the bunch. sonic, silver, and shadow are the three strongest protagonists, and with just one of them or two of them out of the picture, Memphilis can form with iblis and destroy everything. why can't a light hearted series try to be serious route every once in a while? just because it's light hearted and goofy doesn't mean it can't try to implement serious elements to it. look at sesame street.
The video that clip is from is almost 10 years old, I’m sure Johnny’s mellowed out since then and doesn’t actually think like this anymore. Look at his Sonic Frontiers review for a more grounded look on his viewpoint regarding more serious Sonic plots.
@@theluigifan1 I understand people's opinions can change over the years. Was just saying in prospect how weird it sounded. I'm no stranger to this since I would blindly agree to what people say, but as I got older, I started to point out and question things I heard. The old me agreed with old John's sentiment, but the current me finds some things he said weird. I usually have a habit of looking back on things that people have said and ask myself if i still agree with them or not. This isn't a joke at current johnny. It's just me being analytical of something o feel nostalgia towards.
Johnny: Dear GOD! What is WRONG with these people!?
The nerds the both of you is my favorite because I lowkey have felt that rage when hearing my friends argue about stuff in our favorite discussions

1:59 the worst part about this is, Super Mario 64 had MUCH better draw distance than that! 🤣🤣🤣
You think having the expansion pak makes the draw distance a little better?
@@supermariof0521i doubt it was compatible

@@earlrice8095I get that.
@sunsetschannel5439 why? What's so wrong with a happy ending with those two?
