Tip for making an "ironic" movie: don't. Make an extremely serious, ambitious, self important movie that fails ridiculously and insist it's your masterpiece. People want to laugh at you, not with you.

movie with his boomer friends and had no idea it sucked, and then the distributor-- the same ones behind fucking Shark Exorcist-- saw what they had to work with and marketed it the same way they do the rest of their awful tripe.

The people that made this new exactly what they were doing. The use of the stock clips at the end puts the last nail in the coffin on this. It's very clear they knew they were making a total piece of garbage, and they continued production with this concept in mind. What a masterpiece lmao. On the movie ‘Who K!lled Captain Alex,’ in Africa they literally went without electricity for weeks at a time. The Director even stated he had never been to a theater before. But he genuinely enjoyed making it the movie and it shows! He dedicated it to us all which is beautiful if you ask me. That is making a movie with no movie but passion shinning through looks like

I feel like the Director is making excuses for not having a good idea. There are good movies with micro budgets, like the following, clark’s, the Blair witch Project, Eraserhead, paranormal activity etc. the most important you need is a great story and well written characters.

I'd bet they could've contacted locations to see if they could film there. Like the lab could've been filmed at an actual high school with a science lab on the weekend and it probably would've looked better. And I'd bet it would've saved them money that could've gone to getting better stock footage and equipment
