My granny bought me a rip off of cinderella which is actually more like the original tale but the animation was bad and the songs were basically pop songs but changed to suit the story. But other than that it's basically the same plot as the original story.

Also fun fact about Sarila/Frozen land, it was the first 3d animated movie to be made in Canada and was supposed to be a love letter to Inuit culture and folklore, with its depiction of the sea goddess Sedna. The people who made it clearly cared about their work (even though it was boring) but they were screwed over by their distributors.

I think the reason why the movie plays fine straight off the DVD is because for most software that plays DVDs, they are automatically deinterlaced during playback. But deinterlacing isn't turned on when playing back conventional formats like MP4 or WMV. The tearing could be fixed by deinterlacing it with software like Handbrake.
It still won't fix the movie itself though. You're still watching Whats Up...
The legend of sarila was in theaters no joke I remember seeing a cutout for it and tickets but it did so bad it was only in theaters for a week before they tossed it
