    Looks like a good model. It makes me want to start getting the scum ships to add to all my rebel and imperial ships. So far on 1.0, I only picked up one scum ship, the firespray, but it was imperial. I was tempted to still get all the 1.0 ships and the scum conversion. But seeing your unboxing makes me think just to get scum 2.0 only.

    Would have been nice if you put it on the peg/base to see how it actually looks assembled.

  • @phillipbernhardt-house6907

    Well, that settles it...I'm going to have to get three of those now with the moving parts! ;)
    I have to say, I like the older paint job better...but, I've got three of those, so that's okay, we'll have the "elite" ones and the second-stringers, then.
    I am really curious to see what they do with the YV-666, which I love...I am hoping they'll make it slightly bigger and have some sort of special Z-95 in the Nashtah Pup paint job with it, maybe with folding wings and a docking bay of some kind...one can hope!

    im going to need to buy another one of these I bought the 2.0 version not knowing it had wings that moved. so after I watched this video I went to get mine and its wing didn't move. it was the 2.0 version so I dont know if its just stuck or broken

    Very cool pivot wings. This drab paint is a bit more in line with the rest of the scum faction. But the body still looks a bit like a non SW universe ship to me. Buck Rogers with a little bit of a Prequel Jedi Starfighter that brings it back enough into the SW universe imho But primarily Buck Rogers in the 24th and a half Century ; )

      Wasn't it absolutely huge (for a non capital ship)? With a length of at least 52 meters it is definetly larger than the Millenium Falcon.

      You have to GENTLY rock it back and forth to get it to loosen up. I promise, it will turn, but you have to work with it.

  • @ReallyBigBadAndy76
    @ReallyBigBadAndy76 Před 6 lety +1

    Why would they allow it to rotate and then block that rotation with a peg? That makes no sense at all.

    • @Crabbok
      @Crabbok  Před 6 lety +1

      I'd guess the peg looks better underneath? Mayeb they didn't like the look of the J peg on the back.

    • @popburnsy3207
      @popburnsy3207 Před 6 lety +1

      ReallyBigBadAndy76 Where else could the peg have gone? Probably because they didn't want to sacrifice the model's engine details for the sake of the movable wings.

    • @JB-ym4up
      @JB-ym4up Před 6 lety

      ReallyBigBadAndy76 they didn't have crabboks insight to use a bwing mounting peg.

  • @richardh1923

    i dont see why they didnt put the peg behind the engine in the first place

    • @vectorstrike
      @vectorstrike Před 6 lety

      Balance of the model, mostly. If the peg was too far behind, the ship would tilt down its fore

    • @richardh1923
      @richardh1923 Před 6 lety

      Thats easy to over come, hava L connection on the back and then make like some sort of S curved peg to connect it

  • @jayw.2493
    @jayw.2493 Před 6 lety

    Okay, dumb question, but what's the difference between a Fang Fighter and a Mando. Gauntlet Fighter??

    • @Crabbok
      @Crabbok  Před 6 lety +2

      The Gauntlet is MUCH larger. Think of the Fang as being the size of an X-Wing, while the Gauntlet is the Size of the Millennium Falcon

    • @jayw.2493
      @jayw.2493 Před 6 lety

      Ohhh, okay. That makes a lot more sense. Especially in terms of something like Armada (which I play and will be getting into X-Wing 2.0 soon,) considering that we have Gauntlets but not Fangs and the fact that Gauntlets have the assault keyword(?) on them.

    The pdf says it can't take mods, yet the quick builds some have 2 mods. Not real cool imo ffg. Not a fan of quick builds that aren't 'legal' or the awing fang fighter, tie adv v1 and tie defender missing MOD slot.

    • @Crabbok
      @Crabbok  Před 6 lety +8

      I would argue that the quick builds ARE legal - but only for quick builds vs quick builds. That is the entire point of the online point system after all - so that it can change. Maybe in 2 months it'll be able to take mods again.

    • @dragonwhimsy6696
      @dragonwhimsy6696 Před 6 lety

      The cost of being able to only collect one faction. They need a way to include cards a ship otherwise wouldn't be able to use.

    • @JB-ym4up
      @JB-ym4up Před 6 lety +1

      Crabbok I agree with what your saying about quick builds, that's why I put legal in quotes. I just don't like the inconsistency, nor do I see a reason to take mods away from these ships. Is the awing broken with a hull upgrade, or the tie v1 with stealth? Surely if the awing is too dangerous for one mod the tie interceptor shouldn't have any either let alone 2. You could make a small argument that the tie defender is too strong to take mods but I think the point cost of the platform fixes that.
