Looks like a good model. It makes me want to start getting the scum ships to add to all my rebel and imperial ships. So far on 1.0, I only picked up one scum ship, the firespray, but it was imperial. I was tempted to still get all the 1.0 ships and the scum conversion. But seeing your unboxing makes me think just to get scum 2.0 only.
Well, that settles it...I'm going to have to get three of those now with the moving parts! ;) I have to say, I like the older paint job better...but, I've got three of those, so that's okay, we'll have the "elite" ones and the second-stringers, then. I am really curious to see what they do with the YV-666, which I love...I am hoping they'll make it slightly bigger and have some sort of special Z-95 in the Nashtah Pup paint job with it, maybe with folding wings and a docking bay of some kind...one can hope!
im going to need to buy another one of these I bought the 2.0 version not knowing it had wings that moved. so after I watched this video I went to get mine and its wing didn't move. it was the 2.0 version so I dont know if its just stuck or broken
Very cool pivot wings. This drab paint is a bit more in line with the rest of the scum faction. But the body still looks a bit like a non SW universe ship to me. Buck Rogers with a little bit of a Prequel Jedi Starfighter that brings it back enough into the SW universe imho But primarily Buck Rogers in the 24th and a half Century ; )
Do you think we’ll see more larger based clone wars ships? I’m desperate to see a LAAT even though it’s an atmospheric craft, I hope it’s not exclusively legion
Crabbok If a LAAT ends up in legion I will go insane. And if it does I hope they keep the scale right and have the troop bay usable to deploy at least one squad behind enemy lines!
Mine does not move... It's over painted or glued. Edit, I am not sure what happened but now it rotates just fine. Maybe it was too warm the day I opened it or something. Very strange.
ReallyBigBadAndy76 Where else could the peg have gone? Probably because they didn't want to sacrifice the model's engine details for the sake of the movable wings.
Ohhh, okay. That makes a lot more sense. Especially in terms of something like Armada (which I play and will be getting into X-Wing 2.0 soon,) considering that we have Gauntlets but not Fangs and the fact that Gauntlets have the assault keyword(?) on them.
The pdf says it can't take mods, yet the quick builds some have 2 mods. Not real cool imo ffg. Not a fan of quick builds that aren't 'legal' or the awing fang fighter, tie adv v1 and tie defender missing MOD slot.
I would argue that the quick builds ARE legal - but only for quick builds vs quick builds. That is the entire point of the online point system after all - so that it can change. Maybe in 2 months it'll be able to take mods again.
Crabbok I agree with what your saying about quick builds, that's why I put legal in quotes. I just don't like the inconsistency, nor do I see a reason to take mods away from these ships. Is the awing broken with a hull upgrade, or the tie v1 with stealth? Surely if the awing is too dangerous for one mod the tie interceptor shouldn't have any either let alone 2. You could make a small argument that the tie defender is too strong to take mods but I think the point cost of the platform fixes that.
I'm looking forward to the B-Wing reprint.
So glad to see that it actually rotates now! Thanks as always for the great vid 😎👍
Didn't for me. Wonder if I have to ask FFG for a replacement?

Would have been nice if you put it on the peg/base to see how it actually looks assembled.

I'm glad to see more moving models. Definitely a step in the right direction FFG
Mine is stuck! I'm having the worst luck with 2.0 models.
Movement looks great
Wondering what other ship might get moving parts
The paint job looks better. Very cool that it moves too.
definite plus for moving parts
its a great ship and cool comparison I always thought the Fang would have the easiest barrel roll
xombie7979, No kidding. Just straight up spin the wings lol.
Of the batch of 2.0 ships you've seen, what do you think are the best new sculpts/paint jobs?
The new X-Wing in the Core Set.
Definitely want this.
Love Mandalorian fighters, I also love SSDs
I like both. But I hink the paintjob is a little bit better on the old fang fighter.

Collection THX1138 totally buck rogers
These look awsome
I'm so much hoping for a Gauntlet Fighter with Maul somewhere down the road. Nightbrother ftw!!!
yas
That would be cool. The gauntlet would probably be on a medium base.
Wasn't it absolutely huge (for a non capital ship)? With a length of at least 52 meters it is definetly larger than the Millenium Falcon.
I just purchased my new fang fighter and the wings don't spin :(
Same here. Got it for xmas. But it can't go all the way to 90 degrees. I would place the peg on the engine and apply it like the B-wing.
You have to GENTLY rock it back and forth to get it to loosen up. I promise, it will turn, but you have to work with it.
@James Stewart... I’m probably late but... are you sure u didn’t buy the First Edition one???
Do you think we’ll see more larger based clone wars ships? I’m desperate to see a LAAT even though it’s an atmospheric craft, I hope it’s not exclusively legion
I don't think so, but I suppose that one could go either way, and show up in both games.

Jc. Scarz iirc there was a orbital capable ship based on the laat frame.
The LAAT was always Orbital Capable. They Launch from Venetor Class Star Destroyers (In Space, not in just in Atmosphere).
Wow I like it.
Apparently some of these have had the paint cause wings to be stuck in place and need some extra care to loosen them
I am having this issue. I am so afraid that I am going to break it.
@@kyle857 my loosened up pretty easy after being in a hot car. Lol
Love this ship. My favorite

Doh! That's rough!
@@Crabbok Yeah. I have had bad luck with 2.0 models. I got a sticky Xwing and a Lando's falcon that sits at a 5 to 10 degree angle on it's peg. :-(
Sweet ship
I'm a little sad about the mods too. But it won't keep me from loving my fangs!
Why would they allow it to rotate and then block that rotation with a peg? That makes no sense at all.
I'd guess the peg looks better underneath? Mayeb they didn't like the look of the J peg on the back.
ReallyBigBadAndy76 Where else could the peg have gone? Probably because they didn't want to sacrifice the model's engine details for the sake of the movable wings.
ReallyBigBadAndy76 they didn't have crabboks insight to use a bwing mounting peg.
i dont see why they didnt put the peg behind the engine in the first place
Balance of the model, mostly. If the peg was too far behind, the ship would tilt down its fore
Thats easy to over come, hava L connection on the back and then make like some sort of S curved peg to connect it
Okay, dumb question, but what's the difference between a Fang Fighter and a Mando. Gauntlet Fighter??
The Gauntlet is MUCH larger. Think of the Fang as being the size of an X-Wing, while the Gauntlet is the Size of the Millennium Falcon
Ohhh, okay. That makes a lot more sense. Especially in terms of something like Armada (which I play and will be getting into X-Wing 2.0 soon,) considering that we have Gauntlets but not Fangs and the fact that Gauntlets have the assault keyword(?) on them.
Great but, what’s the point?
Aesthetics :) Same as with the TIE Striker, Lambda-class Shuttle, and the Upsilon.
FEARLESS HIT NERF TOWN!!!!

The cost of being able to only collect one faction. They need a way to include cards a ship otherwise wouldn't be able to use.

Here's hoping!
Second Edition, not 2.0. It's not a software update.
Actually it's both. There's a huge software upgrade coming next month.
