- We took one American icon, one vehicle designer, and one adventurous driving expert - and set them loose for some real off-roading* fun to show what the All-New Ford Bronco can do!
The new Ford Bronco is the ultimate off-road SUV for adventure seekers. With a host of engineering features to tackle even the most challenging landscapes.
The Bronco Badlands, featured here, is one the models with our advanced Terrain Management System with up to seven selectable G.O.A.T (Go Over Any Terrain) driving modes, a new high-speed off-road suspension system, heavy-duty protective under-body shielding, and 32” all-terrain tyres.
We went to a military vehicle test centre to put the Bronco through its paces over five extreme off-road challenges. This is a place where they test army tanks! Let’s see how our Bronco handles it…

Challenge 1: Big Bend^
An overlapping lattice of huge concrete cones simulates an extreme pocked terrain of large boulders and deep potholes.
Watch, and listen, as Bronco thumps over those obstacles . Robust steel under-body shielding, plus steel skid plates and rocker slide rails protect the chassis from contact with the concrete.
Putting the vehicle into low ratio four-wheel drive and selecting Rock Crawl G.O.A.T mode locks the differential and disconnects the sway bar, giving more movement across the front axle, and ultimately delivering more traction… Easy!
Challenge 2: El Camino del Diablo^
A fast, twisting sandy climb followed by a steep gravelly descent. Ideal for showcasing Bronco’s desert racing capability, with BAJA mode optimised for speed on sandy conditions.
And while we’re at it, the Bronco’s roof and doors** can be detached and removed for when you fancy a bit more air. No other vehicle makes this as easy as the Bronco.
Side mirrors are mounted on the chassis frame, so that they remain in place when doors are removed. And interior grab handles help your passengers stay in their seat!
Challenge 3: The Ozarks^
This obstacle of unsteady logs simulates driving over changing, unstable surfaces such as loose scree slopes. Again, with the vehicle in low ratio four-wheel drive and Rock Crawl G.O.A.T mode, it’s a piece of cake for the Bronco.
Challenge 4: Death Valley^
This 60% slope may look daunting from the top looking down, but our Bronco is as surefooted as a mountain goat! We put it in into low ratio four-wheel drive and engage Hill Descent Control. This continuously adjusts vehicle traction settings and brake pressure to maintain a constant, comfortable, and controlled descent speed.
Challenge 5 - The Everglades^
Time for a swim! We put the doors back on and took our Bronco for a little dip to showcase its impressive up to 800mm wading depth.^^
In fact, we could have even left the doors off to really show how versatile the Bronco is in water…

We love large SUVs in states! Expedition, Tahoe, Escalade etc very popular! Expensive too but you get what you pay for!

Wow!! Fun!! Europe is getting an amazing vehicle!! I live in the States, and I've owned a Bronco since September of 2022 -- it's really great!! Definitely not the vehicle to own if you want good fuel-mileage, though. LOL. It's just not designed for that. But for weekend fun off-road, it cannot be beat. It's a blast! Y'all are going to enjoy it!

Ford has brought Explorer PHEV to Europe and its a really big car for our standard but it sells not bad at all because it's a hybrid. So better fuel economy and less taxes.
what mileage do you have on the Bronco? Because that really is an issue in Europe. The only reason why RAM can sell the 1500 successfully in Europe is the LPG conversion done when importing them
@@EnjoyFirefighting It depends on which size Bronco you get (2-door or 4-door), which engine you get (2.3L 4-cyl or 2.7L 6-cyl) and whether or not you get the "Sasquatch" package (bigger tires, a suspension lift, shorter gears in the front and rear differentials, and electronic lockers in the front and rear differentials).
I have a 4-door with the 2.3L 4-cylinder engine and the Sasquatch package. With mostly around-town driving we get about 18 MPG (13 L/100km). On the highway we've seen as good as 22 MPG (10.7 L/100km). Keep in mind, those are American gallons, not British (Imperial) gallons. For Imperial gallons, add about 20% to the MPG figure.
I've seen people post as high as 26 MPG (9 L/100km) on social media, but I've never been able to achieve that myself. I'd imagine the 2-door non-Sasquatch with the 2.3L and manual transmission would be the best as far as fuel-mileage is concerned.

I doubt it will ever be delivered in Italy, just like the new Ford Tourneo Custom. Placed an order for the older model back in February of 2022 with delivery around July-August at a dealer in Florence. Never any news from Ford, so I contact the dealer in November and Nothing...all silent, my order hasn't went into production. Well in December of 2022 they are canceling all orders. So what about all the time I wasted waiting for my order? Nothing... The new model if you order today (which you can ONLY order the Titanium) won't be delivered until the New Year of 2024. It's a complete Joke, I doubt the Ford Bronco will be any different.
Parts supply constraints are getting better now. Don't give up. U will love that vehicle! 💯

The fact that an entire artificial off road course had to be improvised in order to demonstrate the offroad capabilities for this European model tells you all you need to know. In Europe you find asphalt all the way up the Alps. Not sure where this monster is supposed to go.

Exactly. I don't mind people buying those if they're actually using them on trails, but the vast majority will rarely see an unpaved road in their life. When I was younger and stupider I owned a few sports cars, all of which had 300-400HP. It didn't take me long to realize how I had fallen prey to the ridiculous marketing tactics of car manufacturers. These cars can't be driven to their full potential anywhere outside of specialized environments. They make no sense as daily drivers as they'll spend most of their time parked and the rest stuck in traffic. I exclusively ride a bicycle now. Gets me where I need to be much faster, keeps me healthy and costs close to nothing. I might get a people hauler when I start a family, but I don't think I'll ever own another performance car. At the price these are sold at anyways, it makes more sense to get into aviation.

Great vehicle for serious use, like mountain rescue and other emergency personnel, but ac really annoying advert. The script is terrible and in which world is a stunt driver frightened of everything and has to ask a car designer how to drive !
