Mmmm, Ranger Raptor is more powerful. Suprised they didn't use that motor. Also is it still running leaf springs at the back. If so the Raptor will have a better onroad ride than this. Trying to understand why this exists. Don't get me wrong it really looks cool. Would rather have had it as a trim package for the raptor.

It's a commercial vehicle unlike the Raptor, the limit of the payload on the Raptor means it doesn't meet commercial vehicle standards so therefore doesn't fall into the tax benefits of a commercial vehicle, this is due to its suspension so for me the MS-RT is for those who want a commercial version of the Raptor, ok it hasn't got the same engine but its a sportier looking truck than the standard ranger.
I guess its because of emissions standards in Europe
It’s the Ford Ranger for the Global market, different from the US built models, they have much more payload. Ford makes most of them in Thailand
Ranger Raptor in Europe is pretty poor anyways, we get an extra 100 hp in Australia stock over Europe, then an option of a warranty covered tune for a further 107hp approx, so an extra 207hp approx all up.
Bring this to South Africa please!

@WillyCheez88 no it doesn't, 184kw and 600nm of torque....thats standard here. That makes less power and same torque. 177kw and 600nm.
I don't know if it meets Australian spec. There has to be a radar guided feature meaning that the ranger is 0.00000000001 millimetres away from the car in front, regardless of weather conditions, or speed limit.

Get a local Raptor! UK versions only have 212kW compared to our 292 and this is not built on the same platform as the Raptor. Its basically a Wildtrack 😒

I'm still confused by the European Ranger Raptor V6. Has less power than the regular 2.7 in the Bronco, and somehow the same claimed fuel economy as the 2L Diesel.

It will be in the USA with at least 400hp. Funny that this British lady is advertising the neutered EU model with particulate filters and a detuned engine.

Yep @fordofaustralia we'll take that one too thanks .. but maybe with the 3.0-litre V6 Twin-Turbo EcoBoost Petrol engine and a few more "brighter" decent colours other than 50 shades of grey and one Blue that's offered in Europe.

@slimj82 Agreed I have a 22 maverick I'm 6'2 got tons of room it's a great little truck.
You could build your own wheels, lowering springs and a tune you got a ST.
Why not just get the Explorer ST?

Seems those drive modes don't exactly line up with the vehicles character right ... and really do wish they have kept a bit smaller screen stack, that's a pita to drive with at night all glaring at ya face ... Just more user friendly screen... that aside neat idea, Ty for sharing
For the amount of glaring you get from cars headlights in front of you I don't think the screen would make a difference, plus you could just dim the light.

There a nice truck I have a 2020 ranger sport I put bigger tires on it and it looks way nicer then stock tires

Meanwhile here in the USA we get about 5 mavericks built per year total that aren't fleet vehicles plus half a million 75k USD and up F150s nobody wants to pay for.
I mean, this truck has less power than almost every truck sold in the US. It wouldn’t integrate well. A non turbo V6 is still pulling over 300 hp in the US.
Wish we could buy the proper Raptor in the UK in RHD.

Hopefully that powertrain will make it's way here to the states to go up against Toyota's new Hybrid for the Tacomas. Good looking truck. That design on the seats though? Whoever approved that needs to go.

Funny thing is they are making the ranger look like the Maverick. That is due to the Maverick being the #1 selling truck they make. Ford is just hoping they can get people to spend more money on appearance lol.
Needs to come the US market and needs to be lower. Sport/Street truck doesn't sit that high nor have that amount of gap from top of tire to fender. Sits as high as mine Dakota did before the 2/3" drop.
This truck should've been available in N.Z/U.S/Aus markets as well...

Considering this is being marketed as a sporty truck, I think this would have been much better if it was equipped with a 2.7, 3.0, or 3.5 Ecoboost v6 gas engine.

Yep, the government has pretty much killed ALL double cabs from July. Although some will still buy them I would be surprised if the volume is still there to make it worth Ford making them anymore. We could see the rise of the kingcab again with only 2 doors as one of the Definers seems to be “4 doors that can be opened independently” so a King cab ma qualify as a van still
The Ranger is the number one selling vehicle in Australia, followed by the Toyota Hilux. A few SE Asian and ME countries sell them in decent numbers, so can't see them dropping them anytime soon. What new law comes in effectively killing dual cabs and which country?
