Installing valve keepers at the BRP engine rebuild center

  • The BRP engine rebuild center takes care of getting all those used and beat up engines back together. They have some pretty good tools and techniques to speed things up. Here, the rebuilder is using an air powered spring compressor to compress the valve springs and a magnetic tool to position the keeper.
    This is a 1503 engine commonly found in modern Sea-Doos

    Could add a little dialogue. I put a small amount of grease on the keepers so they stick to the valve until the spring is decomposed.

    What tool is that to compress the springs so fast without the t-handle

    I see a lot of videos that say" inspect the heads" I have not seen a video that shows what to inspect. That's a vid that might get some traction.
