- Most FNAF fan games try to create their own unique stories but what if there was a game that took the origiinal Five Nights At Freddy's lore and decided to expand upon that. Today we are going to talk about The Return To Bloody Nights. Hope you all enjoy the video :)

Thanks for making this video! Our team watched your video amd enjoyed it a lot! You got talent, keep it up! Soon we are going to release the next update for the game, we hope you will test it out!
Can’t wait for it to come out!
hi i love your game can u tell me what i can use to make my own fan game
hey question is the player actually looking behind them or under the table because the player looks like it's looking down instead of sideways to look behind them
please make fredbear 2.0 rarely say "pick up that can"
I loved your game, it’s so fun and unique!!!
This game is essentially people who wanted a Actual Five Nights at Fredbears Game and then actually went through with it.
basically
the Fredbear's Family Diner era is my favorite part of FNAF and this game did a great job capturing it
Five Nights at Freddy's: Diner Nightmare
Yup
I have a feeling with the ending of fnaf security breach ruin which I won’t spoil we will be seeing something from the earliest stage of fnaf
I like how this game makes you panic when you see the animatronics at the door, and when you close said door, it seems to taunt you with the position that the animatronics was in is the exact same design on the door.
Exactly! With the speech bubbles saying "Hehehe" and "Hello!",Like they know they just made your heart rate shoot up🤣
Bro the thing is when they Just Pop in the door made me JUMP
Yup
Yeah, and when you see it you get scared once again, accidentally open the door and get jumpscared, essentially gettings scared 3 times in a row.
@@pinkiusthat’s something that would happen to me lmao
i really REALLY hate it when people call fan games "clones" or a "rip off"
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE JOY OF CREATION AND "SCARY BEAR NIGHTS SURVIVAL HORROR FREE"
I want someone to play FNAF 2 and TJoC and tell me that it's a clone of FNAF 2 after playing it
@@plague8163 literally nobody says that even before playing it
@@theultimatevrnerd8603 and they shouldn't. That was my point, because there's a ✨difference✨
Excuse me?
Scary bear nights survival horror free is the most original game ever frfr 🗣🔥🔥🔥
This is probably the one game where the jumpscares can consistently startle me, especially when they're in the doors. It's the feeling of fnaf4 where the jumpscare is your own fault. They don't just pop in once you get to the door, you have to shine your light on them to make them attack you if you weren't paying attention, so there's always that feeling of hesitation before turning on the flashlight.
I honestly really love how they gave life to William and Henry's characters, from their relationship as friends to it slowly drifting apart due to William's mental decline.Seeing how he grew envious of Henry on his happy life when before they supported each other both being single fathers.(Or at least I think Henry was.)I feel it gave more meaning to the story and even clears things up or makes things make more sense for the main story.(Even if it isn't canon)
And it also adds depth to William's character, and that he became such an evil person because of the decline of his mental health. It turns him into something more than just "Haha, child murderer who literally will not die" And yes, he is still basically evil incarnate, however it adds a reason for how he fell so far down. Which I think is great.
I also like the phone call conversations for how they characterize William, leaning away from the mad science stuff or at least making it so he wasn't always a terrible man and instead driven mad by grief.
Which would make sense considering the story is about the heavy tragedy of the Afton Family
A detail you probably missed. The 2.0 versions of Fredbear and Springbonnie are the actual springlock suits. The 1.0 versions being normal animatronics. You can tell due to the fact that the extras menu states the the 2.0 version of Springbonnie was what William used to lure away the children during the MCI, as well as the suit that he died inside, and became Springtrap. There also the subtle detail that the 1.0 versions have 4 fingers, while the 2.0 versions have 5. Also, the Night 5 call was about Williams losing Elizabeth. The restaurant the two talk about that William was making was Circus Baby's Pizza World.
Pretty correct to me if i say so my self :)
that makes them even scarier like if i was a kid and fredbear 2.0 started walking to me i'd leave that pizzaria and never come back again
Wathel Broggie here! Wonderful review! I adore thee attention to detail on each night and it's lore, you even highlighted the Monday through Friday in the main menu. It's people like you that give these developers the passion to continue their goals and improve on their work, we really appreciate you. And I can confirm that Night 5's recording did contain more emotion than the others due to some real life situations. I poured that energy into portraying the character as well as possible and I really thank you for noticing. ❤
You really nailed that charismatic yet nervous/shady businessman voice! Gave me huge Cave Johnson vibes while still being its own thing. Good job and I hope you go far!
@@TheKaffeekatze Thank you, so much. ❤
Bro your voice is absolutely perfect I got chills on the Thursday night
Straight up thought it was markiplier talking😂
@@baruchbelmont5821 I can definitely tell you were going for like a glorified J Jonah Jameson (JK Simons) like inflection with his demeanor. Dunno what the developers intentions where with the character or what they've told you about it, but I suspiciously presume that it's what they were likely going for, given how they wrote a lot of his dialogue like he's literally any JK Simons character.
I do believe that this game, along with 'A shadow over Freddy's" both gave us unintentionally canon explanations at to why William Afton became the purple guy and why he killed those 6 children.
Feddy's
Why do people end words with s when they should be ended with ie/ies??
@@Absalom3439 Usually it's with names, which you don't change
@@Absalom3439, Well, Freddies means multiple of individuals by the name of Freddy.
Freddy's means something that belongs to Freddy, and in this context means Freddy's Pizzeria.
@@Absalom3439if you truly knew how to use s , ie, and ies you wouldnt ask
i think the one thing i love most about this game is the sort of mini jump scares the animatronics do at your door they dont just stand there they'll pop out at you when you use the flash light its a small detail but a really cool one
Those ones CONSTANTLY got me. They’re just as terrifying as the actual death jumpscare imo. The animatronic design is just SO good.
@@Vivigreeny25 and the fact that springbonnie also poses as the drawing on the door when you shine the light on him
@@DinnyDineyACCU Yes!!
Person who owns the FNAF Fangame Wiki here (where you got majority of your sources and renders)!! I apologize for the lack of resources, I've been currently focusing on the POPGOES series. Thank you so much for showcasing our pages and such. I really appreciate it! No need to credit, by the way.
one neat little thing i like about the game is how fredbear 2.0's mechanic is that he's only seen in the hallway, not the cameras, and springbonnie 2.0's mechanic is that they're only seen in the cameras, not the hallway.
That's cool
Thanks for making this video! We love all of our characters and we can't wait to share more information about our next game soon! Have a nice day!
Thank you for putting the effort into making it can’t wait for your next project !
The platformer mini-game leads to absolutely nothing (there's a Polish youtuber who struggled with it for hours and one of his fans actually beat the mini game and recorded it for him to see and... nothing happens after you beat it.) - the devs either forgot to remove it or thought that noone's gonna beat it anyway.
most likely second.
“Entire malls dedicated to our characters!”
Ahh I see what you did there game developers.
;)
Pizzaplex foreshadowing??
Finally a revenge theory - without portraying William Afton only as a cruel psychopath. Used this idea in my own fnaf movie and proud because of it.
This is the perfect FNAF game I wanted in a long time, even though it is extremely bloody difficult in some parts for me, it brings in that dread, that horror that I expect in most FNAF fan games. And the writing, oh god, the writing. It’s so masterfully written down and ties in with the story so naturally, complimented with its amazing voice acting. I love this so much and I hope There’s more to come in the future!
;)
I'm glad he made this video cause it confuses me why people talk crap about this game like what is wrong.
I love how every video I see on this fangame nobody recognizes the scanner in the cutscenes between nights. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a reference to the P.K.E. meter from the original Ghostbusters. Essentially the antenna on the sides rise more with paranormal activity and you just kind of point it in the direction of a ghost and it'll start to go off. But if it's moving even slightly that's generally a sign that there is at least a ghost present. (from what I understand).
This *could* be a real device used by people that hunt for ghosts, but I'm not really sure of that. I just know it from Ghostbusters.
It is, and it's awesome.
My favorite part of this game is the voice acting and the dynamic between henry and william. I love that we get to see them as friends before the fall. We get to see their friendship dwindle. Its so awesome! Also i love how the puppet is in this as reference to pizza sim where we find out the puppet has been here since the beginning. Also that we're playing as phone guy!!
I'm probably over-analysing/over-noticing things, but I like the few Valve references
The menu looks like Left 4 Dead
And the Phone Guy sounds a lot like Cave Johnson, even having a co-worker called Karen, similar to Caroline
You did great
The sticky note saying "Huge success!" is a portal reference to
I'm also fairly certain that Fredbear 2.0s voice lines are the HECU lines from the original Half Life.
It’s so weird! I haven’t been into FNAF in years, I’m still not really into it, yet this channel has very quickly become one of my favourites? I just love your deep-dives into stuff!
Ik how you feel lol
;)
Your life is cringe?
@@ezaf5989 how
Very well made video overall! One thing though, I don’t think the intent with the accident with William’s kid is supposed to be the bite of 83. ‘Evan’, as William calls crying child, as well as Micheal and Elizabeth are all mentioned in a previous call, night 3 I think? William says he’s been staying away from Evan and Micheal, but Elizabeth has been going to work with him. And the unnamed restaurant has it’s ‘accident’ on it’s first day, assuming each phone call does canonically happen one day at a time leading up to it’s opening. See where I’m going with this? The restaurant was Circus Baby’s Pizza World, and the child he lost was Elizabeth.
Good theory
39:12 To be fair, Mark found the mini game on accident and didn't really know what he was doing. Glad you decided to go through this game, recently beat the 4/20 mode myself and your totally right, this game is HARD!!! Keep up the great content and I can't wait to see what you do next.
20:13 that little cheeky giggle is making me feel things in a way I can't describe. It's adorable. Great video and footage, and keep up the good work!
same lol
Ayo?
It will be a sequel to Return to Bloody Nights, promptly named Return to Bloody Nights 2. It's essentially a rewrite (or redesign, idk) of FNaF 3, with Springtrap having an updated design to fit what SpringBonnie 2.0 looked like in the first RtBN game.
I think Fredbear's voice lines are taken from the US Marines from Half Life 1. He sounds exactly like them.
I actually found the first 5 nights relatively easy. But oh my goodness was Night 6 brutal. The only Night 6 that I've found harder was Night 6 in FNAF2.
Oh f yea i remember doing night 6 on my tablet and i only.beat it like 3 times
Hey man not sure if you noticed but you DID get Shadow Bonnie to appear in game (if you were using your footage) at 25:37 or around there on the camera you can actually see one of the shadow animatronics. Im not sure if this is footage after the initial run of the game or if this is your original footage and you didnt notice but you got a pretty cool easter egg :)
Update: once again I spot a shadow animatronic in the footage and now im questioning if I misheard you earlier cause I thought you said you didnt get either of them in your run but at 37:48 Shadow Fredbear actually appears for just a quick moment. As someone who has never gotten any of these random event easter eggs in any of the games I am jealous, but seriously good work I was actually entertained the entire video. If you make more stuff like this I will definitely be coming back for more.
Oh wow your right they do appear not for very long you have to really look for them
@@SomeGuy1000 yeah it’s a very short window to spot but the video was so damn interesting that I saw each frame
@@KhilleyTVWasn't this how they were meant to work in FNAF 2. I believe it was like half a second until they disappeared, but due toa mistake, it didn't work. Honestly, that would've been even scarier as it would add the paranoia that they're still around and will return to kill you (Which they won't)
Lore wise, I love how they used a vital part of the FNAF series.
That can be found at one of the ending, Charlie.
Just like Mangle and Vengeful spirit with Jrs, Charlie is rather introduced as a ghost with a heart to help the ones who fell in the hands of Afton.
8:30
"Because it crushed a guys legs...but it seems he was alive...so it wasnt that big of an issue"
EXCUSE ME WHAT? .-.
The Puppet reminds me alot of the Clown from Poltergeist, so I wonder if that's the one you were talking about when you mentioned one in a movie.
"Man why did my wife leave me and my child accidentally kill the other. Is it the abuse I made them endure? No. It is Henry's fault."
He didn't abuse his children, there's 0 hints towards that in this fangame (which follows it's own story kind of)..he was only distant during the divorce (likely because the 2 boys refused to hang out with him peacefully and wanted to be with mom instead).
@@testerwulf3357 In the base games, mainly 6 and 4, there is implications that William was an alcoholic who abused his children after the wife went away, including stalking his own kids and more
I don’t think TRTBN copies the original story, I think it takes it and AMPLIFIES it.
Great video XO 💜
I love the phone guy. Waffle has such a passion for the franchise.
I absolutely loved this game I believe it could’ve made it as a part of the funded fan game initiative from Scott.
It’s very brief, but at 37:48 you can see one of the shadow animatronics when the camera transitions away from Spring Bonnie. You might have to set the video to 0.25x speed to catch it
I like the little usage of the Ghostbusters PKE meter at the beginning to hint at the robots being possessed, if I can be honest.
26:38 Scared me much more than it should have 😂
But honestly? This is a phenomenal fan game. It’s definitely one I’d recommend, alongside TJOC.
I never saw Springbonnie 2.0 until night 4, but Fredbear 2.0 caused me to freak out so bad the first time I saw him 🤣
When watching people play it, i honestly could have mistaken it for an official fnaf game with FANTASTIC writing and especially voice acting, omg the vas knocked it out of the park! I want this game to be canon so bad (and even hold it in my personal headcanon if u replace elizabeth with Evan in this particular situation)
You didn't even mention the best part about the game which is that the phone guy, Waffle Bogie, talks like Cave Johnson! He even says some of Cave's lines!
His name isn't Waffle Bogie..though it does sound like it
This game actually made me think about the whole main plot of fnaf & how it was dealt with later, yk what's considered cannon is somewhat objective & everyone thinks different, but I think a very good ending would've been to have fnaf 3 be the last game lore-wise, they already said fnaf 3 was set in the present so why good beyond it? I feel it's a great ending, a bittersweet ending to a horrible tragedy, keeping still many secrets to be discussed by us, & I wouldn't consider any other games cannon per se, I do like some ideas introduced in later games but I consider fnaf 3 would've been a perfect end if the lore had stop there. Still won't change anything, just wanted to share my point of view
I played through this game on my own and I really liked it. I didn't realize so many people had issues with beating the nights until now, it only took me like 20 minutes to beat night 3, though the fifth night did take me a bit longer lol
32:11 your little theory that we are playing as phone guy might be correct because here we see that our character is called Scott which might be referencing the fact that in the original games Scott was the one who voiced Phone guy
The 4/20 mode in this game IS SUPER HARD but the ending IS GREAT DEFINITELY CHECK THE ENDING OUT
Fredbear 2.0 is genuinely my favorite animatronic in any fnaf game of all time. His design is perfect, the sound design is outstanding, and his mechanics are so simple but so frightening. When you first see hi lean into your doorway he makes you panic like crazy, but he's on a 10 ish second delay from when he leans in to when he enters the office, so you have to balance keeping the door open to save generator heat and keping him out at the right time, essentially making you play chicken with this massive robot breathing down your neck in your left door. It's brilliant!
Springlock Bonnie is the scariest enemy I've seen in these games for a while, the perfect foxy mechanic
Feels like the phone calls towards the player are channeling a Cave Johnson style, not a bad idea for what mad scientists the people behind Fazbear Entertainment turned out to be after Sister Location.
This is basically what an official direct prequel to FNAF 1 would look like.
Game difficulty does effect each person's enjoyment of the game, for some that makes a game enjoyable for some that makes a game not fun. That is why difficulty options are good, so both can enjoy it (if they done right). I personally don't like too hard games, after programming I don't need more frustration to my day.
27:28 is gotta be the scariest part with the reveal of the cat animatronic
the video was good and the game looks really well made, but can we talk about how cute the "am" sound Insomniac made for the bite of 83 was, despite it being a very dark scene?
yes it was, he has a unique voice in general doesnt he huh? its nice.
@@ima_nobodysgirl yeah, very soothing and pleasant
@@ima_nobodysgirlhe talks like guy from “hi I’m charmander”
The phone guy gives major cave johnson vibes which I love so much
Yeah the game is so scary because of good design and constant worry’s and sound to keep track of
25:28 has shadow bonnie at the camera if anyone wanted to know
After playing like 3 soulsborne games, i respect challenges in games. Its fair.
Yeah at times it can be a but bs (like a glitch or something) but eventually you can beat it with enough trial and error, mostly error, but the satisfaction of beating these challenges is AMAZING.
3:44 Desk Guy from FNAF World was 100% meant to be Henry before Scott changed the lore
Wait, did he change it? Desk guy ≠ Henry? 💀
@@hypothermiaaa In FNAF World Desk Guy made & dies by Baby (same voice actor & calls it Baby), however Henry very clearly burns with everyone else in Pizza Sim & it was stated that Will made Baby in the Sister Location intro
@@RaisinHook I completely forgot about that.. 😬 And that's just one of the many, many instances of Scott messing with the lore because "Well this is cooler," huh?
Thank you!! I thought I was going crazy remembering henry dying to baby only for him to show up and die again in Pizza Sim!
The moment I realized that we were playing as phone guy, my mind immediately blew with excitement, nostalgia, and realization.

Phone Guy is legit my favorite character lol. He’s such a guy shrouded in mystery so I was glad that his lore was expanded, even if it was in a fan game.

Hey Imso! Good job on not getting distracted long enough to finish the game! Great video and review of it you made here, good job! The streams were fun!
"Whole Malls" definitly security breach
14:18 "The animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night
Btw, in night 4 of FNAF 1, phone guy is killed by the animatronics. Right before he dies, what noises do you hear? Banging on the door. But it isn’t the normal banging noise you hear from Foxy. It’s the same sfx that Spring Bonnie 2.0 used in Return to Bloody Nights.
RtBN used this sfx to prove that the player is supposed to be the phone guy, it it’s supposed to be an Easter Egg. Either way, I love it
18:46 I think it would make more sense that he's the Phone Guy from FNaF 3 (you know, the pre-recorded tapes talking about the springlocks.)
Why do all of Williams speeches sound so utterly horrific. First it was William talking about how much he hated Michael and how much he relished the killings in the Squimpus tapes, than it’s him completely ignoring all the bad things he did in the mainline series, now it’s him talking about revenge and having big plans in this game. He is just such a terrifying villain if you really dig deep enough, he’s not some 4th dimensional monster or dictator, he’s just a psychopath with nothing left to lose. And when someone has nothing left to lose they do horrific things.
this game needs be in the fanverse
"theres not much known about the shadow characters and they were never in my playthrough." 26:03 blud DID NOT SEE THAT
I just found your channel. It has an extremely high quality!
I think the phone calls that the player is asked tyo record are supposed to be the tapes recovered by phone dude in fnaf3. could be wrong tho
I think you're correct
You're so good at keeping others locked in and curious about what may be next and what the end has to give♡ Genuinely love your character and how kind you act♥︎
The second phone calls keep reminding me of Cave Johnson and I love it so much!
The phone guy imitates cave Johnson from portal 2, and even quotes him a few times!
Night three was not a problem at all for me, sure I was terrified when I saw fredbear 2.0 but after dying to springbonnie 2.0 twice I understood what I had to do easily. Sure the mechanics should have been hinted at but the game was mostly just stressful because of all the shit that was going on
allowing for two spring animatronics make a lot of sense, if you think about later on to fnaf 6 with afton with a new suit, it allows for how afton may have obtained a new one
what i noticed is that SB 2.0 looks strikingly more like springtrap than 1.0 does, perhaps 1.0 is supposed to be the scraptrap suit?
Man i remenber the first time i played on school, it was the last day before school break and me and my friends were playing on our classroom computer, i was the only who finished all nights, this fangame deserve more recognition.
That audio file for Freddy 2.0, that sounded like some of the audio lines from the HECU grunts from Half Life 1.
Edit: also, unless this was corrected, William's talking about Sister Location because Baby ends up abducting and killing his daughter so I wonder if these guys were self-aware of future lore once Sister Location came out since you see that fault happen for yourself.
“We’ll have a mall dedicated to our lovable characters!” AHUH YEAH
A banger as usual, i'm gonna take a shot and guess its popgoes or jollys up next. Probably Jr's however due to the beginning
Cool video man, keep up the good work! 👍

I love the fnaf fangames that mimic the original style. No free roam or anything, just a nice twist on the first few games. Like that scp one, and a lot more that I can't think of lmao
The phone guy in this game sounds like Markiplier
I know someone else already commented about it but I still like the idea Fredbear 2.0 imposes of having to sit there with this thing breathing down your neck but taking his sweet time getting around to going for the kill
I've always liked to compare FNAF games like this to a Game & Watch toy what with having to juggle a bunch of different things at once with almost never any downtime available at max difficulty - Fredbear 2.0 feels like the pinnacle of this sort of juggling act
Also the bit about people calling the game bad because of its difficulty means the FNAF fandom is being overrun by gaming journalists lMaO
It's implied that the player is the voice in the FNAF 3 recordings put on for us by phone dude. The player is asked to come in and read off spring lock suit information to be recorded, and one of the old tapes in FNAF 3 is just that.
25:38 I thought you didn’t saw the shadows in your gameplay
bro night 5 phone guy predicted the existence of the pizzaplex
Afton sounds just like canon Afton. And CEO sounds just like CEO from Portal 2 for some reason 😂
as a new channel as i can see this dude is one my favourites allready
fredbear sayin "i. am. here." sounded way too much like the hl1 soldiers XDDD
The return to bloody nights when the escape to sterile days walks in
the phone calls are absolutely amazing, I love them so much
14:52 I think that's sampled half-life 1 grunts
"YEAH!"
"I!"
"ASS."
On my first night I saw shadow spring Bonnie and it is just an Easter egg that appears. I only saw it on the camera that spring Bonnie was on
This game is what fnaf ucn should've been I was kinda dissapointed that even when we control William himself still we know nothing for sure about the reasons that made him commit those crimes, if there were points milestones to archieve pieces of lore or cinematics it could've had some more replay value and will finally give William some persunality other than low budget Chucky.
Your lil giggles are so cute :3
Hi Insomniac! I was wondering if you could look at or possibly even cover Porkchops Adventure. It’s my favorite fnaf fan game and has so much lore and secrets and is genuinely creepy! I feel like this amazing game doesn’t get the love it deserves and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
Ok I know they're supposed to be creepy or something but the sound of Bonnie 2.0 knocking on the door sounds more like your neighbor impatiently knocking to complain about the noise you're making.
18:27 YOU CAN'T SLIP THAT REFRENCE OF QUEEN PAST ME!!!
The clown jumpscare made me laugh for some reason
