- TWC's beloved Storm Alert music, now in high quality! This came by way of a Discord friend, who downloaded pretty much all TWC music used from 1995-2007 from Grooveshark (may peace be upon them) before they got unfairly taken down.
My Main Channel: / 20035079
I love how this sounds like the area theme and the 2006 storm alert sounds like the area boss theme
why is this such a banger its just a storm
The 2006 version is pretty much a JRPG boss fight.
*All* of the Weather Channel music is a banger. This is merely one of them.

Only OG's will remember
i remember this very well from when i was 8 years old watching this in either august or september 2005 i think. bush was still our "president" from back in the day (puss president. can't stand him. too weak; nah, trump is much better imo)
I wasn’t even born yet during this and I feel like I am an OG
Shut up
I remember this during Katrina, Rita, Wilma, and Ike.

Honestly this is beautiful but has a dark history, wished they could bring it back but yk how it goes.
It cracks me up, because I'm so used to the low quality song in Lot8s rips from 2005, then I hear the HQ rip and it sounds...not right lmao
Right? This gave me direct flashbacks to when I was still in Florida that the low quality rips hadn't really given me before the first time I heard this rip.
It does. The HQ rip feels so.......🙁
I live in Florida now but when Wilma tore through the state, I was living up north (New England area). My stepdad, who I've known since I was a wee lad, was in SoFlo at the time and decided to ride out the storm. He had just brought a sturdy McMansion in a very, very cheap part of town and the force of Wilma was so brutal, it nearly tore the roof off his house. Could've killed him, but didn't.
So, we were huddled in a couch, my dad (not my stepdad, whom I love to death) and mom and whole fam, watching the news on Wilma from thousands of miles away. Praying for my stepdad (close friend of my dad's --- long story). This damn music coming on every 20 minutes, oh, it's below freezing and sunny here in Maine, whatever, idc, just get straight to the coverage of Wilma and tell me what's happening down in Florida.
This damn song, man. Takes me back.
Hope you were safe from Wilma, Fiona, Ian and Nicole (and possibly Erika)
This sounds like an Ace Combat briefing
1:48 My favorite part.
Yes!! And 00:58 is great too!
Epic 3 chords to end the song on and very novel as well. Can't find any other music that has it.
This song reminds me of Hurricane Katrina. Since I experienced the storm first hand it's not exactly a pleasant memory
But I love the song.
I can't tell you how many times I sat and listened to this song while watching The Weather channel and tears ran down my face. This song still makes me cry sometimes, it's beautiful but dark. It's just amazing how music can stir the emotions in us.
The emotions I feel with this song. Still gives me goosebumps and I want to cry. Memories of Katrina. 😢🌀

What a year 2005 was!
Katrina: Flooding Louisiana was a snap.
Cristobol, Laura, and Delta: Hold our Beer.
(Edit: August 30th, 2021 ) Ida: Hold my beer and let me show you how it's done.
2020 may have been way worse (so far)
2020 just broke the record.
I thought Dennis and Emily were bad, I had no idea Katrina, Rita and Wilma would show up, not to mention the first use of Greek letter names... 2005 was fucked up
Heard this theme many times a day huddled in our living room while we rode out Wilma
This sounds like something straight out of Ace Combat 4

Remember this from Katrina in Aug 2005.
This was also played in 2004 with Hurricane Charley, Frances, and Jeanne as those storms ripped though Central Florida.
